Thank you, Nikki! Honoured to have Daughters of Witches voted on and be the reaction winner of the week! So glad you liked it. Grateful for you and your community! (And, yes, it was really cold... 5 music videos were shot in a single day in the loft of a barn just outside of Kelowna, BC Canada in late December!) Also, DOW lyrics are in the description of the video. Let us know what you think! We've heard so many cool interpretations of them :) ruclips.net/video/Udggjd0d_cg/видео.htmlsi=vfZm38gryUOzOLSB
Keep it up, FTF! You guys are really on to something that’s going to be BIG! I’ve listened to DoW about 50-60 times and The bass and drum lines remind me of Tool!
you can see why so many TWA got on board after hearing these rockers bring it with some of their first vids of originals. so far the songs have changed (for the good) with more people supporting them. 🥶😰❄❄ Cold Front forming ❄❄😰🥶 good thing the music is hot. BE GOOD TO ONE ANOTHER AND ROCK ON !!
Yup, brand new. Their debut EP comes out this month. ‘Glitch’ was their first single, it’s awesome too. They did a show last weekend & they are fantastic live as well. Also, I will totally vote for The Sixsters ‘Feels’. Yet another fantastic young band.
Glad that you have gotten to see Freeze The Fall. :) Not only are they young, but they have been together as a band for less than two years. Ten months ago they posted seven videos from a live show they did. Two of those videos were of cover songs, and one of those covers was Evolve by The Warning. That got my attention, as well as the attention of members of TWA. I decided to check out what else they had posted, and watched the other five which were originals. That got me to subscribe. The five originals they had posted at that time were an earlier version of Daughters of Witches, One Left Standing, Masquerade, Insomnia, and 46. They had also posted a demo lyric video of a song called Thrones. Last August Jesse from BEL Development, a Canadian reactor, musician, and sound technician, from one province over, reacted to One Left Standing, and Thrones, and made an open offer for them to do a podcast with him. In September Quinn and Aria, and at the very end Jonah, joined Jessie for a live stream viewing of The Warning's complete Teatro Metropolitan concert. Before starting the concert viewing they chatted a bit about how they had gotten together as a band, influences etc. During this live stream Jessie brought the possibility of people donating money to help them cover recording costs, and some people did donate during the live stream. This lead to Freeze the Fall launching a kickstarter with a goal of $5,000 for recording costs. They ended up with twice that, which allowed them to put money towards music videos and promotion. Glitch was the first single release off the EP, and a completely new song, and is worth checking out. For live, since you seem drawn towards a darker tone, I would suggest Masquerade, or Insomnia, both live at Crown and Thieves I will also back the suggestion others have made that you check out The Sixster's song Feels. For something a bit different check out Little Quirks latest release Reverie. Little Quirks are out of Australia and kind of have a 70s folk rock vibe to them. Interesting music, and some amazing harmonies.
Christopher!!!! I straight up bawled reading this 😭thank you so much for the love and support - like you, i have so much love and belief for this group. They deserve everything
Dude. The studio version of Masquerade will blow your mind. It really needs a bigger production video. My current fave from the ep is Broken Glass. Next level song for them.
Glad they won the poll, and yes they are new. I agree, they are very talented ,and with continued hard work, will be popular. Partly influenced by The Warning. Only their 2nd music video, "Glitch" was the first. They filmed 5 videos in this session, 3 yet to be released. Yes, it was cold there, I heard -5C which is in the 20'sF.
I will have to check out Glitch, I saw that pop up as a recommended when I was recording. 😊 And wow, that's too cold. 😂But it made for some cool shots. 🎥
@@nikkireviews They did 5 costume changes. It was an efficient and economical way to produce a fair amount of promo content in a single day. Guerilla style! Just like The Warning!
Only two songs out officially, and they are both amazing. Their debut EP is coming out really soon. Watched the release party on live stream. It looks great!
Thanks Nikki, there’s lots of us TWA fans rooting for FTF, we have a great confidence in what they’re doing! I’ve not been so excited about a young band as much since I discovered The Warning 10 years ago!
Thanks for your reaction to this very exciting young band, Nikki! Love FTF's hard, heavy sound and the amazing vocals. More great originals coming on their debut EP!💥🔥🤘 Here's another vote for The Sixsters, another awesome young band! And props to FTF for supporting The Sixsters as well, recently commenting "would love to play with these talented ladies." Nothing like young bands supporting other young bands! 🙌
Thanks for the reaction, Nikki. I love The Warning and I missed their first steps, so I've been following Freeze the Fall since last year. I can't do that ERROR again. And I'd really love to hear/see them live.
So glad to be on the ground floor of this really talented band. They started early doing covers including some The Warning. That got TWA attention and many have jumped on the bandwagon. This is their second single, from their up coming EP. "Glitch" was the first one.
They just dropped a 5 song ep. This is the second song, Glitch preceeded it. The next three are EVEN BETTER. The lyrics in this song point out how Women are constantly dealt a bad hand, overlooked and ignored, hence Jonah in the blindfold.
Yussss! The next big Canadian band. Quinn, vocals/guitar is 17 (last Tuesday). Aria, bass is 15. Jonah, drums is 15. I saw them play last weekend and they were incredible. Only a band since mid 2022, they already have a song on 3 local radio stations.
The Canadians bring it again! 🤘 You can drop The Sixsters (Feels) in your poll at some point, but doubt they will get many votes. Five teenagers out of Ukraine - not a lot of exposure, yet
@@nikkireviews I appreciate it - and you. I don't want to skip the line ahead of all the others who have been asking for a long time to get their band on the list though. So no worries if you decide to wait on them. "Feels" is an odd vid, but I'm odd so it works for me. "For us... For me..." is from 2023 and is a more traditional format for them - really beautiful song/vid
@@rocksquirrel I remember when they released this video the same week Russia invaded. *Is it true?* ruclips.net/video/RuQ4Pj_lMHA/видео.htmlsi=aMqXB2fjJsbiwunk
@nikkireviews Quinn was inspired to pick up a guitar by The Warning, but their sound has very little in common with them. Their other influences are Spiritbox, Bring Me The Horizon, Three Days Grace, Tool, Megadeth, Death, Slipknot, Dream Theater, Foofighters, Smashing Pumpkins and Mastodon. They definitely have a dark sound, and a vocalist that can cut glass. I saw them live on the 6th, and they blew the roof off. I've got their 5 song ep, and lemme tell you, full grown rock bands would kill for any song on it, and it's just them introducing themselves. This band has an incredibly bright future.
Actually, on their RUclips page, they just posted a 54 second visualizer, that's the intro to the ep. They're going to use it as a projected video intro before launching into playing live. It's nothing you can really react to, but worth seeing. These are high school students.
Really great that you got to check out Freeze The Fall - they have a certain magic to their sound and vocals! And you are correct - a lot of TWA are also fans & supporters of FTF!! There are several live performances that FTF have on their channel, plus their first video Glitch which blew all of the fans away - it was such a step up from what we (or I) expected.
Awesome! Glad you got to experience FTF. Look forward to future songs from them. For the next poll I suggest Lolli Wren aka The Fairy Voice Mother on RUclips. She just released a original song/video called "I Can't Decide" and her recent cover of NIN Hurt is outstanding. Even better than Jonnys for me anyway. You'll see why if you hear/see it.
Whats really funny about the mask on the drummer I saw one of their interviews where they talked about this video and I do recall him talking about the mask but didnt realize you couldnt see through it. Will have to research that again, lol!!
Eyoooo! Just dropped by to remind you that Freeze The Fall's official video #3, Masquerade, drops tomorrow, Wednesday May 15th, at 11 a.m., Pacific! Hope you can check it out!
