- Freeze the Fall - Daughters of Witches (Reaction)
OMV - • Freeze the Fall - Daug...
❄️ Freeze the Fall write & compose original music that's uniquely their own. Quinn (16, vocals & guitar), Jonah (15, drums) & Aria (15, bass & vocals) were all born and raised in the beautiful #Okanagan -- in Kelowna, BC Canada.
LYRICS - Daughters of Witches:
Sombre dusky day
They control everything that I can’t even open my mouth to say
Too much is vain, too little shows that you’re drained
You want me to bow down
Imagining your crown
Oh, they’re taking us for free
Cannot win the game
Because it was made to put me to shame
Nations hide their eyes
Rose gold chains for us but I smile
Didn’t ask for it
And never justified
We carry the world
Her hands were shaking as death spoke to her
Stare into my eyes as I go up in flames
You try to pass me pain
But I’m taking you, too
When they hear my voice, promise I will freeze the flame
Nations hide their eyes
Rose gold chains for us but I smile
Didn’t ask for it
And never justified
We carry the world
Nations hide their eyes
Rose gold chains for us but I smile
I didn’t ask for it
I DIDN’T ASK FOR IT
Nations hide their eyes
Rose gold chains for us but I smile
Didn’t ask for it
And never justified
We carry the world Видеоклипы

Were you there too? I heard someone was up there from the States, but didn't catch who it was.
@@RussInCanadait wasn't me but they were lucky to be able too
@iiwdpn
Oh, okay. I think I heard Seattle. The stream really doesn't convey how truly phenomenal their performance was. Regardless of age, that's one of the most impressive bands I've seen live. I think they're absolutely ready to start banging on Spiritbox's door for an opening slot. They absolutely killed it.
@@RussInCanada keep an eye out for pro shot videos. after they get everything together and edited
@@iiwdpn
Yeah, that should be top quality. There was a whole crew running around with cameras, running absolutely top quality video feeds to three screens while they were playing. Once that gets put together with sound from the board, it will be a fantastic watch.
Saw them live last night, and they absolutely blew me away. Top notch venue, merch, postering, goodies (FTF decks of cards on all the tables!), and an absolutely electric, flawless performance. All three of them played their butts off.
Side note: I also checked out the Broken Hearts Club below the Crown and Thieves winery, where they've performed their live uploads from. Holy man, that place is literally like walking into a 1920s speakeasy.
Thank you so much for reacting!!! True story, Jonah is legit blindfolded! We had so much fun filming this one!
That is impressive, talented young dude, this song was great. Keep Rockin' ... your time will come.
Your vocals are muddy and indistinct. They are buried in the mix. Whenever I hear vocals, I expect to understand each word. The human voice is not just another rhythm instrument. Compress the vocals and bring them forward. You have ENORMOUS potential, but finesse is incredibly important. If you write lyrics worthy of understanding, they must be heard. I can't hear them. That's unusual for me. If you follow The Warning, look at their 2015 to 2018 concerts. They had the same issues at first. Get some advice from a good producer who understands how to process vocals for intelligibility. They should "stand up" in the mix.
@@williamburkholder769what the actual hell dude? They are in high school and recorded this on a shoestring budget. I think it’s outstanding what they are accomplishing.
I'd love to see him do that in concert! Perhaps a mini tour when school gets out for summer? Hint, hint!
@williamburkholder769 You do realize they are only 15 and doing all this themselves right? That fact that it sounds so amazing as is is incredible. Just imagine the future. It's only going to get more amazing. @@williamburkholder769
Their Patreon account just went live if anyone's interested in joining it.
Found you through The Warning and as a Canadian, love that your reacting to Freeze the Fall, hopefully big things to come from these talented youngsters. Thought I'd direct your attention to another talented young band, an all female Ukrainian Rock band of refugees based in Germany, called The Sixsters.
Hopefully you'll get a chance to react and give your views on this band. They have a back catalogue to 2019, when they were aged 8 t0 12. The war in their Country have forced them to move and suffer some line-up changes, but they have maintained a high standard. Most of their songs since they've been in Germany have been in English, but I thought I'd put a link to a Ukrainian language song (English translation in comments) Running with the Wolves, which they dedicated to the man who founded the Kiev School of Rock, who gave his life defending Ukraine. ruclips.net/video/U3hFHvxiKpc/видео.html
I'd love to see him react to For Us, For Me.
Id love to see a The Warning supported by Freeze the Fall North American tour!!!!!!
They probably don't have the resources yet to pro shoot live shows. Makes a big difference in sound quality. This is great right here
It's not about money or equipment per se. It's about finesse and technique.
🥶😰❄❄ Cold Front forming ❄❄😰🥶 good thing the music is hot.
BE GOOD TO ONE ANOTHER AND ROCK ON !!
This song is so damned heavy. Holy shit. Freeze the Fall going to be rock stars in no time.❄❄❄
Oh! And I saw the premiere of video #3. It's an even bigger banger. You'll see!
Their The Warning covers led me to Freeze the Fall but their heavy, hard-driving originals made me a fan. So good already, so much talent, so much potential! 💣💥🤘
I think this is a great second track from them. They have said that they filmed this in an unheated barn, so, yes, in the 10 hours they were shooting videos that day , it was chilly.
Just total 🔥. This debut EP is going to rock. & yes, it was still cold. They said they shot 5 videos in the barn that day. Redressing the set for each one. The moms (momagers) made the costumes.
Wow, holy smokes that was heavy! Great stuff. What a day it is when The Warning and Freeze the Fall release an OMV at the same time!
Great day for me, to be sure!
Talented young band.
That was absolutely amazing
I believe these 3 have evolved compositionally since Glitch! Holy Sh!t...so hard and heavy!!! I was going to say something stupid like, Jonah channelling his inner Paulina, but no no no, Jonah you do you! There's no sense in comparing apples and oranges! Bassline is stunning and Quinn is stepping up into the frontwoman limelight that she clearly is meant to be!! Really well done!!
You could say that both Pau and Jonah attended the ANIMAL SCHOOL OF DRUMMING! Both are Bangers! Both are EXTREMELY talented!
Very promising young band 🤘🏻 Their definitely getting better🤘🏻
I went back and revisited their original live version of this before watching today's release. I can't even believe it's the same song.
Thanks for your reaction
Great sound and dynamics that bass line is very cool , 🤘❄️🤘
Aside from the official video, you were the only FTF in my feed. I think you got in early. I'm looking for great things from these three in the future. Great job to them and thanks for the video.
Great reaction !!
I now have 2 favorite new rock bands.
FTF and TW
I just can't decide who I like better ... :)
They filmed all the songs in the same location, just changed up the look for each song - so, yes, still cold! Basically crowd funded, if I’m using the right term. So they had a budget to work within!
Edit - just watched their release again. Funded by a Kickstarter campaign. Filmed in a barn, in December, in Canada at -5 Celsius. They did 5 songs in 10 hours.
I guessed that you would approve of this when I was in the premiere, it’s an absolute banger! Amazingly good for their second release, looking forward to the rest of the EP!
Dude another group to sub, thank you 🙏 Rob
Very heavy, great song and Quinn's vocals are outstanding! I am very much looking forward to following this band as they continue to grow and produce original music. Based on the first 2 tracks, I'm on board for their first EP release.
Speaking of new releases, The Warning just dropped an official live performance of HYCAD! (The Warning - "Hell You Call A Dream" Live from Pepsi Center CDMX)
Edit: Rock and roll ain't dead...it's moved north and south of the border!
*Hell You Call a Dream* is a perfect example of how to record, mix, and release a live concert performance. The secret is to record every single sound source - mic or instrument direct box - separately, into an analog to digital converter connected to a computer. From there, you have X number of separate tracks you can mix in your DAW to create the same sort of finished master you would get from any studio performance. If you're also performing live for an audience, the feed from every mic and DI box has to go to the house sound console for COMPLETELY separate mixing. The recorded sound cannot be the house sound mix. Acoustics in any room require a very different mix from a live album or video recording. The Warning do it very, VERY well.
@@williamburkholder769 I’m hoping they release a full live album this time. I thought the Teatro Metropolitan 2022 concert was also worthy of a live album release.
Two songs and FTF is already better than that other (cover-heavy) family band!
Absolutely love this song
The Future of Rock is in good hands between TW and FTF
That riff reminds me of accepts balls to the wall from the early 80s.
Another non-US band kicking ass. The Warning, Plush, and Freeze the Fall = Dream concert.
Aren't Plush a US band?
@@taifunkchichrisYes, they are American. That suggested concert would represent three North American countries.
@@iNsTaNtpUdDiNhEaD the original post said "another non-US band kicking ass"
Then mentioned Plush. I may have misunderstood, due to the way it was written.
Yeah, sorry about that. I could have been more clear. My bad. I was just trying, poorly, that the US seems to be lagging behind in recent years with good hard rocking bands, and that other countries are killing it.
@@taifunkchichris
That promotes itself. We need to make it happen @@iNsTaNtpUdDiNhEaD
FTF!! 🥶❄️🥶
Yeah, they are great - Thrones is next. Jonah reminds me of "younger" Pau - the bass/drums interaction and guitar riffs are killers. Side note: The Warning just release HYCAD Live from Pepsi Center CDMX - I cannot wait to see this live next month in UK.
Very interesting. I really liked it ..The girl on the bass is playing a very cool bass it has faned frets very different.. 🎶💥
Thanks so much! Aria plays a Dingwall, made in Canda!
That was well good.
Great song! 🤘👊
They probably have to grow on the live performance, but that’s a matter of practice and experience.
Really a band to keep an eye on. 🔥🤟
Grtz from The Netherlands
The performances I saw were good, but they were not capturing a good quality recording, too much like a phone recording at a night club. I want to capture them accurately live.
@@victorycast Appreciate your willingness to wait for a professional recording before putting it on your channel. I've been reluctant to point reactors at those recordings as well even though I enjoy them. As you said, I'd like them presented in the best light.
Hey Rob it's out a LIVE official version at Pepsi Center (it will be in quality, as wonderful as this at Metropolitan) of Hell you call a dream on their official channel! Let's check out! ❤❤🤘🤘ps: chills everywhere!!!!
🤘
Stevie Wonder played drums on many of his recordings.
Not with a blindfold!
@@brianbowes1978 You are kidding, right?
i did not care for there last song, but this one is on anouther level, if thay put out more like this i can see them opening for the warning...
Hm... how could I explain my impression... it's pretty good - but in comparison to the Villarreal-sisters these here a playing more against each other in some kind of competition. There is no pausing to let some space for the others. So I would say they are severeal steps below this perfect balance in the songs of Dani, Ale and Pau...In the end, the actual gold standart in rock music remains being set by the warning.
Compared to the Villarreal sisters, they're already at QOTMS level, after less than 2 years.
It´s Evanescence on steroids, chaotic and heavy. But better than Evanescence. I don´t know what to say more than I like it.
Unfortunately, I don't hear a unique sound. They remind me of hundreds of average alternative rock bands that have come and gone in the last 20 years. I'm afraid that going for the dark witch gimmick theme so early in their careers will stick them in a niche.
Cool story.
This track is so layered , the vocals are layerd , multiple guitar layering , there is so much post production fluff that’s it’s not even real . There is literally a second guitar playing lead and dual rhythms the entire track that is not even in the band or exits lol This is the same on the bands other released track . Way too much studio “ magic”.
my advice if you don't have constructive advice to keep it to yourself.
you look like a troll pissing in kids cereal
They seem to be emulating The Warning in a lot of respects. I guess that's what everybody wants these days, lots of layers... Will be interesting to see how they do this one and Glitch live.
Have you never listened to recorded music?
You seem to have a habit of being critical of whoever you choose to comment about, don’t you ever have a positive opinion?
TBH your comment is a joke, show me one official release from any band that isn’t improved by the very things that you’ve cited as being bad? If you’ve got nothing good to say just move on, why bother?
Go listen to Pantera where Dimebag Darrell records two different guitar tracks usually rhythm and lead parts for the album version of a song and plays the more important part for the live version. Every three band ever that has only one guitarist has done this. It is nothing new.
Layered(harmonizing) vocals is nothing new either.
