I just got sick to my stomach watching this.. Nothing you did, I went to their website and almost cried. I never knew there was a company making a kit to use my 68 gto Hurst dual gate shifter to work for a 4L80. Wish I would have known that before I sold it last month.. 😱
Wondering what others are wondering. The right measurement on where to bolt the shifter. I cant get gears engaged right. Iam not too far off. Just wondering the measurement to bolt the shifter. It would really help out most of us that dont have another ss to reference from.
cable has plenty of slack, and sure in compression to a B&M shifter. but if you call shift works, they should be able to give you more info. Ask for cater.
I already have 4l80 mounted, I'm converting from column shifter, to shiftworks. Do I need to remove the tranny to install the shifter? I see you have a few bolts holding it in place
Great video, I’m doing a Shiftworks conversion for a 4l60e on a ‘64 Impala and this video was super helpful filling in a few blanks - thank you!
@@justinbarrell4965 right on , glad I can help
FYI, not all factory SS Chevelle w/automatic trans had factory floor shifters. If the car came with a bench seat they had a column shifter.
correct

Oh man , well hope this info helps in the future
Came out really nice do you think it’s better then B&M???
Thanks bro! These kit are specific for the car and would directly bolt on to other cars without modafacation. The B&M seems more universal
Goosse Performance ok coo thanks bro I’m going to be installing a pistol grip in the cutlass this weekend and it’s b&m
@@TheLsSwapGuruWhich B&M shifter did you get?
How did you know the measurements, or know where to bolt the center console in at?
Thank you for posting this video Goosse.
No problem
What up brotha.
Do you have measurements where you supposed to to mount the initial bracket??
SORRY I DONT

How did you mount the shifter itself? Where did you get the bolts for it? Did you have to tap the holes or what did you end up doing? Thanks!!
i'm wondering the same thing as i'm trying to do a floor shifter as well.
How stiff is it compared to a B&M Megashifter? That cable radius looks kinda tight.

glad to here that you have upgraded, no need to remove the trans, just drill your holes including the one for the shift cable.

Unable to find a center console with the sifter with overdrive, do they sell it together or Separate
Get it from shift works
Other companies make consoles.
My handle doesn’t go all way to 1 gear. If I do it by hand it will. Any suggestions?

The c clips don’t stay in place I can I fix this?
Sheet metal screws to attach the shifter to the floor?

Does it include a neutral safety switch?
No, you have to get your own
Can you make a video on how to wire it ?
