By far what ever videos I watched ,nobody was as clear and presice in their explanation .You have done a wonderful and clear video in explaining all the circular skirts on one paper .what a good job . Excellent and the best tutorials I have been watching on skirts.Thank you Dear .You are a gem in explaining it .
I have watched so many of these videos and no one has explained it the way you have, I specifically came here to figure out how to cut the waist measurements because no other videos said how or why. Best video out there about this. amazing job, thank you for posting this.
I am such a doofus. I want to make a 1/4 circle skirt. I ended up cutting two pieces and now I have enough fabric to make two skirts! I’m a total beginner and this was going to be my first article of apparel. Since it’s a black fabric, I think (later) I’ll find a way to embellish the 2nd one so it doesn’t go to waste. I can maybe add a second color as a yoke or add something at the hemline. I don’t know but I’m feeling pretty dumb.
No kate. Dont feel that way. You are not dumb at all. I can tell you that I make alot of these mistakes sometimes. It comes with the territory. Give yourself a break. You already have great ideas for the second piece which I think both sounds great. Let me know if I can help in anyway. You did good
Thank you for a very detailed tutorial! I've downloaded your video for reference. Yours is the only one I found that explain thoroughly how to fold the fabrics for each pattern. I've made mistakes of getting the pattern right but the fabric wrong, such a waste of fabric 😢
I want to make a full gathered circle skirt ankle length. This won't fit on standard fabric width. I assume I will have to make several panels but how do I do this correct.
Thank you for this video. It's a stitch in time, really 😄. But please, the explanation on folding the fabric for the ¾ circle style was lost on me. Help me, please?
Thank you for watching my video I appreciate the support. For the 3/4 skirt, you will have to cut 3 separate pieces of the pattern in your choice of fabric, or fyou clone 2 more of your pattern pieces, and join the to make one large pattern piece. Then place that on your fabric to cut. But remember to remove your seam allowances on the two extra draft so you don't have excess on the waist. I hope this explains it better.
@@senoritaabul oh yes! Thank you for the prompt response too. Apparently, my fabric won't be enough so I'll just move on to the 180°. Thank you so much!
Some how I am confused on folding the fabric. How many folds for each style. I will see this video more time to understand. I have done full circular skirt but the others r still confusing. Thanks foe the formulas. Appreciate.
Hi thanks for the video But I still don't understand how u calculate the waist measurement pls can u explain it to me again pls like how do u come to dey waist measurement
Please I don't know how early u can see this and respond or anyone else. I am making use of Ankara fabric and it's by 45. Finding it difficult to cut a quarter circle skirt, pls what do I do?
Hello. Sorry my reply is coming late. What you can do is make a pattern first and cut 3 separate pieces. But if you want one full piece would have to fold your fabric in a different way and I can't really you u that here. Maybe on Instagram
I am confused. You added 1 inch to the waist measurement giving you 26 inches. That is to consider the seam allowance. You also added 1/2 inch to your pattern radius.

Its 4,3,2,1 folds respectively
4 fold full circle and so on.
Thanks for watching....
@@senoritaabul oh thank you so much 😊
It's the ¾ that's actually confusing for me. I got the others.
thank you so much❤
I don't understand how you got 4.71 to divide by for the 3/4 skirt. Can you please explain it? I would be truly grateful🙏
Please check the description box. I have all the formulas for the calculations there.
@@senoritaabul I saw the formula in the description box. Just wanted to know how you came up with it, the math behind it.
Hi thanks for the video
But I still don't understand how u calculate the waist measurement pls can u explain it to me again pls like how do u come to dey waist measurement
The formular for calculating each circle skirt is in the video and in the description box.
How much can I devide if i use centimeters instead of inches?
Please I don't know how early u can see this and respond or anyone else. I am making use of Ankara fabric and it's by 45. Finding it difficult to cut a quarter circle skirt, pls what do I do?

You didn't show how you fold the paper, is it into 4 or 8?
How to fold the fabric??
32 inch wide + 1 seam allowance = 33 = 10.7 inches for radius
What is the formula for 3/4 circular skirt?
Waist plus seam allowance divide by 4.71.
All the formulas are in the description box
@@senoritaabul thank you 😊
I am confused. You added 1 inch to the waist measurement giving you 26 inches. That is to consider the seam allowance. You also added 1/2 inch to your pattern radius.
Hi,
1" is seam allowance for the back of the skirt for the zip.
1/2 " at the radius is seam allowance to add a waistband.
Sorry. Now I understand. Thank you so much.@@senoritaabul
I get it. Sorry for the confusion. Thank you so much.@@senoritaabul
I thought you’re to fold the material or you don’t need to do that
I mentioned how each style should be cut towards the end of the video.
