SSL 12 Unboxing - new audio interface day...

Hello, My name is Matt.
Welcome to my channel and the unboxing video for the SSL12 Soundcard/audio interface.
It's early days with this for me so I can't go much beyond first impressions at this point.
But blimey what first impressions!
I'd been looking to upgrade from an old ESI PCI solution which, while still working and sounding great, only had limited options after upgrading to Windows 11 (Product archived by ESI so no further driver development - I couldn't reliably use sample rates above 48 khz for recording).
Then the SSL12 came into my orbit and I couldn't believe what was on offer, so I immediately grabbed one from Studio Spares...
So thoughts on the device itself:
The hardware looks, feels and sounds great.
It works well with Cubase and Windows 11
The drivers are impressive - this is the first device I've been able to monitor from within the DAW with no perceived latency - Super impressed!
I'm happy to be able to reliably record at 32 bit with high sample rate.
The 360 mixer is a great bonus - haven't explored in depth but it seems to work well - for example the ability to be able to listen to mixes in mono to check phase is brill and very handy.
As I said the device is still new to me but has made a great first impression.
If it also stands up to the test of time, then it's a real winner.
Will do a follow up at some point with some recording.
