My most played game of the year so far is Cuba Libre (as you say, BG stats doesn't lie... well, unless I forget to keep it up to date). I had a very similar experience with Tapestry. I found the rules (in their efforts to stay short) were a little too light on examples and context, but it got a lot of plays for me too, and concerns I had about balance and other issues changed quite a bit as I played more frequently with different people. Glad it's one you've enjoyed playing too!
LOL, good point, "BG Stats doesn't lie unless I forget to keep it up to date." Been there done that😆 . Yes, we are both glad we stuck with Tapestry as it definitely got better with plays. I really don't thinks it's fair to base judgement on any game after minimal plays.... As for Cuba Libre, I must admit, we have not had the pleasure of playing this one yet, but we should.... Thanks for watching, and thanks for sharing❤️
Our most played game for 2021 has been Hansa Teutonica. We got it late in 2020 and it has been a massive hit with my spouse and our two older teens. Not great at two players though, for that we tend to play Ginkgopolis. The Isle of Cats is easily my top game of all time so I always smile when it pops up on these lists.
@@theshogunstein6475 I've got a co-op game I'm getting ready to pitch, a game about hot air balloons, and a frenetic bobsledding game. And of course more Honey Buzz content. :)
Escape Tales: Children of Wyrmwoods Keyforge Summer Camp Yummy World: Picnic at Party Palace Terraforming Mars: Ares Expedition A lot of these are super recent but that’s when I’ve done most gaming this year. Also Star Realms is a constant. That’s my always #1.
CuBirds has been a blast to play with my sister for the past six months. Unfortunately, quarantine and work have kept us entertained enough to not play new or more complex games. Fingers crossed, things change for good in the last half of this year. Always a pleasure to watch your videos.
Heroes of barcadia on kickstarter is also about to end, a game where your life and your character are respectively beer (or any other drink) and a transparent glass of glass or plastic that marks life, I highly recommend it
From your list, I’ve played Honey Buzz and Isle of cats. The solo mode on both is really good. I’d like to try Lost Ruins of Arnak. My most played games this year have been My City, The Grand Carnival, Obsession and Wingspan.
Obsession has been on my shopping list for awhile but I am a bit afraid to try it. ...I might be obsessed with it. (Badum Tss) 🤪 For real though, heard it was really good, I'll try it when the chance comes up.
Raaaah Honey Buzz! I waaant it (T_T) but, like Atlantis Rising, it's STILL unavailable in France or Japan (where I buy my games)... What are you doing Elf Creek!!? :/ My (probably) most played games of 2021 (so far): 1. Glow 2. Nidavellir 3. Dragomino 4. Paleo 5. Detective Club / Raptor (evergreen games for me) Arnak is an awesome game that I want to play more, but I was a little bit disappointed by the Isle of Cats. A good game, but not a great one for me. Yet another game that has benefitted heavily from the "cat factor"! :D (or is it the KS gorgeous components?) "Brew" looks like a game I would enjoy a lot. A middle-weight family game with dice and drafting? Sounds like music to my ears! I need to watch your video about it...
Oh no, I'm sorry you're having trouble finding Honey Buzz. If you can get your hands on it, we highly recommend it though. Great list, thank you for sharing😊
our most played games this year: 5. Nusfjord 4. Scythe (got the Rise of Fenris this year! sooooo awesome) 3. Unmatched (everything - we’ve mixed all the set together!) 2. Near and Far 1. Groundhog Day: The Game (so fun! so addictive) thanks for your list :) happy new year!
@@TheNerdShelves oops!! 😅 also I just counted it up and if you put all the Unlock! games together, they are my most played (all solo though), just discovered them this year. ok so then that’s top 6 and: 7. Indian Summer / Cottage Garden (in same box) 8. The Initiative 9. Orleans 10. The Quacks of Quedlingburg :)
It's interesting hearing your opinion on Tapestry as I can't make my mind up on whether to pick it up as I keep hearing varying thoughts on its complexity. I guess that's the cliffhanger for watching your later thoughts! We've been firing through The Initiative. To be fair, when games take up to 30 mins, it'll skew that result, but we're completionists who want to 100% everything, so we'd be tearing through it even if each game took hours!
Honestly, Tapestry is a funny one for us. After the first play, we were on the fence about it. Then, we loved it after a few more plays. Now, even though we want to try other strategies, it's definitely been a few months since we've thought about playing it. We're glad it's in our collection and will gladly play it again later, but can also see where it falls short for some people too. We haven't played the initiative... Yet... But will definitely look into that on. Thanks for the suggestion, and thanks for watching😊
Oh no, I'm sorry to hear that. Hopefully it will be available soon. Wingspan send to be in many people's lists, and rightfully so. It's a great game. It was on our list last year♥️

Lost Ruins of Arnak and Honey Buzz are some of my favourite 2020 Games, and definitely in my top 5 of all time. :)
Ya, they are both pretty great games, aren't they.
So honored to be your #1 most played! :)
So excited to bring you more Honey Buzz stuff soon.
Oh yeah.... We're excited too😊. We can't wait for more Honey Buzz goodness♥️
Yeah~(squealing)😍

Hi Paul, thanks for chiming in here ♥️. That's a great list and I can see games like Star Realms being any a lot of Most Played lists.

Yes, it's true. It's been a funny ol' year hasn't? Let's hope things pick up.... Thanks for watching. We really appreciate it.
Tinderblox, Wingspan, Sleeping Gods, Lost Ruins of Arnak and Maglev Metro!
Great list, thanks for sharing. Looks like we have one crossover😊... Wingspan was also in our 2020 most played games. Great game♥️
Ooh... Maglev Metro is on my check out list. 😍

It’s a very thematic Euro game.
Cool video! Enjoyed it! 🙂❤❤
thank you so much, glad you enjoyed it😊♥️
The Isle of cats, Spirits of the forest, calico, surrealist dinner party, iwari.
Great list. Calico was close to making our list too. Thanks for sharing♥️

Thank you. I wonder if any of these makes the list for the whole year?
