Funny thing about the Filipino duo is they give compliments and moral support and flatter each other jokingly after potting difficult shots and also during the break outs. It became much more prevalent during the last 2 racks where jeffrey said in tagalog "You're so good" (draw shot of gomez) and "That's so perfect it's like you gave me ball in hand" (position shot of gomez for the three ball on the last rack). When jeffrey was given a hard shot on one of the racks for the last ball, they talked about it while they were sitting and Gomez said " It's a good thing it was your turn to shoot already, I could've missed that. That's why I left it there that way at the end cause I knew it will just be nothing for you" And Jeffrey says something similar to Gomez hahahahaha.
If anybody that doesn't know tagalog is to listen to them during the last rack, you'll probably think that they're tactically and strategically disecting and mapping out the table but in truth they were just having friendly banter and overly complimenting each other.

I didn't notice at first, but I love that. My dad replaced his old pool table with a new one recently and we stayed up until sunrise having the most wholesome time together. This sport leaves plenty of room for compliments lol

There was a scrum in the 4th, 5th and 6th rack where neither team was doing well and the Filipinos came out on top in the 6th. It either put the Filipinos on cloud 9 or the Americans in the gutter, psychologically. Gomez on the 8 in game 7 was cold AF. Gomez on that shot in the 8th game to create the ez win. Gomez just brilliant. De Luna just brilliant. They took every opportunity and turned it into wins. TBH the Americans were completely rattled after going up 5-0. Overamped and instability killed them. Maybe overconfidence did them in after they missed a few easy shots.

It has been seen before for pool shots to miss judged by players refs so he needs to make 100% thats its the right call any expert would do that even if he was 99.99% sure its his job on the line and the game it self
