That's got to be the nicest ping pong table I've ever seen. As a kid we had one of the green fold up jobs which got replaced by a pool table when I moved out. This is probably something I would never considered building, but this is nice.
ManCraftingTM thanks! I wish it were mine! I never would have thought to build it either, but someone asked if I can build one. And I said yes without knowing if I could. Ha!
Very nice! I watched your multi-use crosscut sled first. I liked that one so much now I’m starting from the beginning and watching them all. With likes and comments of course. Loving it.
I've said it once and I'll say it again, this table is GORGEOUS! I want! And now that you've spilled all your secrets maybe someday I'll build one. 😉 Stellar video!
That brass and walnut ping pong table is beautiful. I would like to make one for my family as a Christmas gift. Do you have a longer video tutorial that I could watch? Thank you,
thank you for sharing this build. it looks stunning. the brass is a very nice touch. it would be nice to see a build of a walnut support for the net in future. i look forward to seeing more of your videos.
I love how you take simple things, like a ping pong table or toy train tracks and turn them into a work of art and family Heirloom. I often hope your kids pick up an appreciation for the craft and I wonder if your husband does any project himself or just hands then to you and say "you know what would be nice...?" :-P
A very cool project and great video. Very informative in the use of jigs and fences, especially. Thanks for sharing! I'm looking forward to more videos from you.
Very Nice. Can you please post the finish you used. I can't quite make out what you said it was in the video. I'm working on a project now and was planning to use tung oil, but would love something that only requires one coat. Thanks for sharing your work.
For the top of the ping pong table did you use multiple planks of walnut to build each half or were you able to find a entire pre Finished board of walnut that you sized to your liking?
Love this build. Great job. I’m going to try and replicate it as a gift for my son and daughter n law for their brand new home. I just Subscribed. Look forward to seeing other videos!!!
This is just beautiful! It combines 2 things i love, ping pong and woodworking. Did you make a couple of paddles by any chance? They sell the rubbers that you can stick on self made paddles.
I’ve subscribed because you are truly amazing! I stumbled onto your page because I’m going to build a table for myself and I was looking for ideas but thanks to your awe-inspiring build, I don’t need to look any further. I’m sure I’m not alone in thanking you for sharing your expertise with the public domain. This may have already been asked and answered, but did you do those hardwood floors that are in most of background of your video? If so, then you’ve been promoted from amazing to phenomenal!
Thanks so much! But I am not an expert! Most of these things I am doing for the first time so I am just sharing my journey of learning. And I didn’t do the floors.... sorry to disappoint! Ha!
Hmm, you must be your own worst critic.😀Expert or not, so far you’ve built one more ping pong table than me. I only hope the one I build is nearly as good as the one you’ve built because I’m learning as I go too.
Hello maam , can you tell the thickness of the main table. Thanks for the answer ..you have a nice and cool woodworking, Im watching from the Philippines.
that walnut is gorgeous

Love the brass inlay for the center stripe
+DIY Home & Garden Projects thanks! It was a last minute design change that I’m super happy I did!
Can you tell me where you purchased the brass for the inlay? You and your table are stunning!
I used play in table tennis tournaments and to me this looks like tournament equivalent as well as a beautiful furniture. Excellent work.
This gave me the idea to make a dining table that doubles as a ping pong table. Looking forward to more of your work
Charles Burgmuller that’s an awesome idea! Thanks!
Can you tell me where you got your walnut? What size you bought? And where you got your metal inlay?
Very nice and clean work. What was the size of plywood you used ?
You saved my fingers with the tip about the router and mortise. Thanks!
+T.L. Chen well then I’d say my job is done for the day! Awesome.

That brass inlay! 😍
Pneumatic Addict I need to make one for myself!
Wow, absolutely beautiful. Love the design, love the walnut. Much better than a boring green ping pong table!
Glen Young thanks so much! Totally agree! I need to make one for myself now. Ha
Way to go! Beauty of a piece. Love the details and the clean look of that table. Can serve both as a decorative and entertainment piece! Well done!
Very nice! I watched your multi-use crosscut sled first. I liked that one so much now I’m starting from the beginning and watching them all. With likes and comments of course. Loving it.
Thanks! Hope you enjoy!
Also, do you have anymore details on you little brand stamp? I need one for my channel. Thanks?
I've said it once and I'll say it again, this table is GORGEOUS! I want! And now that you've spilled all your secrets maybe someday I'll build one. 😉 Stellar video!
You should totally build one!
@@3x3CustomTamar how long did it take to build?
Kim Jong-Un I didn’t recall. This was a few years ago. But probably around weeks with filming and being a mom.
Super cool ping pong table!!!
Thanks!
I have never seen a nicer one!
+Larry Guffey thanks! The client considered using it as a dining table after I assembled it
Best looking pingpong table by far. I love the look of walnut and the brass inlay was a great touch. Good job.

Thanks so much! My daughter seems like the only one that’s really interested at this point. My husband isn’t allowed near my tools.... ha
Damn, I like that walnut with brass. Goes great together. Do you use that table much? Seems to pretty to play.
That is just gorgeous 👌👌
Thanks!

Great idea beautifully executed, nicely produced video, brass inlay is a touch of genius. Very well done!! My new RUclips crush!!

Bonita y elegante mesa de ping pong.
Fantastic build - love the inlay. You make it look very simple and explain the steps well. Wish I had the skills, tools and space to make one!
Pete White thanks so much! Really appreciate the feedback!

Great mid century modern design and build! Also love the Hendrix T!

So awesome!!! RUclips is intimidating but you are going to kill it! All of us IGers have your back! 💪
Thanks!! I wish everyone were as awesome as the IG woodworking community!
Hello. It is very nice. I made one for myself, question how did you make it so stable?
This was a very nice project and video. Ready for another.
Thanks ted! So happy you enjoyed!
That is awesome!!!!! Great job
Thanks!
Would you consider revisiting this project but with a foldable design?... my step son loves ping pong... might be the perfect mini/big project :)
It’s been on my list for a while... ha
Magical piece 👍👍👍 1000%
Thanks so Much!
Fabulous - walnut seems sooooo nice to work with. Thanks!
I play table tennis and it looks great.
Thanks so much! I wish it were mine. I think I need to make another one.
Just saw this. I’m going to build one of these next!!
Have fun!
Nice work! Is the playing surface 5x9 (regulation) or did you make it 4x8?
4x8
Great looking table love the brass inlay! Nice work
Thanks so much!
Been following you on IG really excited to see you here on RUclips. This project is so awesome and original. Love the mortise and tenons.

I love ping-pong. This is great! how does it play though??
Yay!!! Nice job Tamar!! So excited that you are a RUclipsr now!! I should get started on that 3x3 fan club....🤔
Haha 😂😂
Beautiful table. Walnut and brass looks nice. In my opinion you could invest in a better net though...
This was my first video…
For the top of the ping pong table did you use multiple planks of walnut to build each half or were you able to find a entire pre Finished board of walnut that you sized to your liking?
I used plywood.
Beautiful!
+Ma Ga thank you!
thank you Tamar
that's wonderful project , I definitely hope for one like it.😊
Thanks! Me too. Ha!
Turned out awesome!!! Great job
Mac n Wood thanks so much Ryan! Couldn't have done it without your magical router base plate 👊
Nice job
Thanks!
Please .... What kind of paint you used for wood ?
Bela mesa gostei da ideia parabéns
What dimensions did you go with? Regulation 9’x5’ or did you decide on a smaller table to fit the room it was going in?
Smaller
Great job!! Coolest ping pong table ever!
2Puggles thanks so much! I wish it were mine! Ha!
Stunning!!!
Thanks!
Beautiful, how does it play?
Normally there is a coating on the top, so surface is grippy
Thanks! This was a client build. They said they were happy with it. But I never played on it
Love this build. Great job. I’m going to try and replicate it as a gift for my son and daughter n law for their brand new home. I just Subscribed. Look forward to seeing other videos!!!
Thanks so much! This was actually my first video. I’d like to think they get better from here. Ha
勁!
It is gorgeous. A self made table tennis table, a dream come true ...
Thanks!!
This is just beautiful! It combines 2 things i love, ping pong and woodworking. Did you make a couple of paddles by any chance? They sell the rubbers that you can stick on self made paddles.
Thanks so much! I didn’t make the paddles. If I make another table. I’ll def make paddles to go along with it
Great project and video.
Andy Lanning thanks so much!
Did you make it the official size of a ping pong table? If yes, where did you get the ply that size?
No. It’s not official size. It’s 4x8. I couldn’t get plywood big enough for for official size.
Little pointy things i love it x
Ha! Thanks
Looks awesome. Great job on the build. ☺
Thanks so much!

Tamar I made one using several of your ideas and 4x8 feet is not a good size, so I had to cut it down to 4x7. Video will be out shortly explaining.
Thinking of making one of these. Curious as to what you don’t like about 4x8 and why you like 4x7 instead.
@@jamesscheuer8367 I made a video on table sizes ruclips.net/video/d3Ihbj4vnI8/видео.html
Good video. Thank you.
