    I still hate how Harada decided to just flush the game's roster balance down the drain. It was never fully balanced but damn man, it was a hell of alot closer to true balance than most fighting games. The fact that they can have such detailed focus on character's weaknesses and frame disadvantages...and push out new characters with NONE...makes Namco's pay to win strategy obvious. They've established a record of knowing better.

    In my opinion, lateral movement in this game is made too difficult and unreliable. You never know when is the good time to step since even linear moves tracks, it’s just really difficult to SS consistently. It’s was much better on previous Tekken games imo. It’s always a bet and not something that properly works, imo only homing moves should hit steppers, and they should make the moves that looks homing but r not, for example D2 with Dragunov, homing with the white sparks. Moves like Law df2 or df2 Paul should not track either side, forcing the player to utilise homing moves as a strategy for people that steps a lot. Just a scrub opinion in purple ranks with Bryan but I find much mor enjoyable the movement in prior games.

    • @Hussuki
      @Hussuki 3 года назад

      I completely agree. In both respects to myself and my opponents, SS and SW just aren’t as consistently reliable in this game. MANY attacks are linear in design but MANY of those attacks have this pseudo tracking to them. The problem is that it’s not on Soul Calibur timing in regards to 3D movement. It’s based on which limb is being used and even then, why can anyone SS a hellsweep? In reality, that motion is circular in nature and should clip anyone’s legs who dare not crouch to block or YOLO hop kick to crush. What’s going on with that?

    • @BEER-OTFG
      @BEER-OTFG 3 года назад +1

      its not that it is too difficult
      its rather the fact that for the difficulty and consistency it is soo unrewarding
      especially considering how you mentioned move that are linear tracking to sides for some reason such as generic wr3
      the problem is really that the game is super slow and doesn't invite people much in learning how to play defense since offense with restricted movement is insanely strong

    I would also like to point out that this video is probably one of the prime reasons Knee and TMM haven’t been getting along. Knee has been winning, getting 2nd, and fighting high level players from the afreeca tournaments for a long time now and he chose to pick this one to review. The same pattern shows if you go and see the last afreeca tournament mainman posted. Even the sets TMM post of him winning like arslan vs knee’s paul if you go back and watch it you’ll see TMM has a tone of disappointment when arslan loses almost as if the game robbed arslan. Mainman always shows the utmost respect when it comes to knee but I think knee is noticing that tmm is pretty much always rooting for him to lose. This has been a thing before “scrupman” or Tekken 7 for that matter. Just a hypothesis though, what do you guys think. * I’m not saying this because I’m a knee fan btw I pretty much based my entire kazuya off of TMM’s Tekken 6 days and still watch all his videos I do also believe knee was wrong for insulting him. I’m just looking at this from knee’s POV.

    I've gone up against people in red ranks who could consistently react to Fahk's df1 mix ups. I don't know if they are botting or what but i don't think cheaters hang out at red rank much. Maybe I'm up against the occasional smurf or something but i get launch punished on a simple df1, 2 because some people can duck launch that on reaction but don't fall for the df1, 2~1 or df1, 4 mix up.

    • @hawisyqo8329
      @hawisyqo8329 3 года назад

      cause both options can be twitch ducked except for df1,4 which is punishable
      its an overexaggeration to say they are true 50/50 guesses
      the amount of options cause mental frames which make it seem as such
      but in reality they arent true mixups
      on the otherside of things
      this is all theory fighting
      and also in reality
      95% of us will eat the "mixup" anyways
      so if you are predictable with fahk
      people will defo punish you hard for it at higher ranks especially
      🤷‍♂️
