      Rosa Y Jaime I def know about this my only thing is as musicians we should really at least try to learn how to do things without plugins and how it works especially wen it comes to a musical iq I just think it’s healthier to practice this type of technique for your own aptitude instead of the reliance of that plugin

      Help Me Devvon that’s dumb, if you don’t know music theory then you should learn that somewhere else. there’s no point in trying to find the key of the song the hard way, when you can do it instantly with mixed in key or auto key which comes with autotune pro. Saves so much time and keeps the creative juices flowing without needing to find the key yourself. Also autotune EFX is trash I much prefer autotune pro which comes with a classic function which is the algorithm of the much loved autotune 5.

    Hi Devvon, You found the notes and the scale with that piano technique but how did you then find out what key it is in. It says E flat major in your plug in but you didn’t mention how you came to choose that?

  • @agbortabot
    @agbortabot 5 лет назад +1

    What i simply do is figure out the first cord of the song.... Then figure out if its a major or minor....
    Or i just find a note that sounds good almost anywhere in the song and figure out if its a major or minor key we're in.

    • @jovanjohnson453
      @jovanjohnson453 5 лет назад

      That 1st method is tricky but you definitely have the right idea with the 2nd one! The first chord of the song isn't always the root a good example of this is "please me by Cardi b and Bruno Mars" the first chord is c minor but the key of the song is G minor. You know this because of the the movement of the chord progression (Cmin -Dmaj-Gmin aka 4-5-1 ) overall is tension and a resolution the resolution is usually the key center. Trying not to get too complicated about it lol but to me this would be the next step in your musical growth if you hadn't already started working on it. ✌🏾

    Wow. It's so funny how things play out. My brother and I have had the same feeling about the auto tune evo you showed for a whiiile. It just sounded as if it took *something* from the vocals. But we passed it off as maybe a lack of understanding in how to apply it.. eons later, we still couldn't get desirable results. I still don't know what that "thing" was.. but we didn't like it! Lol Good to see we weren't the only ones who felt that way.

    Yo what good Bro Thank you for the awesome value you give on this channel! You are a beast with it! What is your laptop setup? Do you have it set a special way to allow your DAW and all the plugins to run smoothly? Did you add a certain SSD drive etc? Also which protools do you use? do you recommend the subscription if so which one or is it better to buy it outright? I am looking to record vocals in Protools. Right now I work in Logic Pro X on a Mac Book Pro. I know I can upgrade it and add 2 SSD drives internally, is that necessary? Maybe you can make a tutorial on that if feasible. Saucy bro. I think a dope tutorial would be maybe a mini-series on some simple (misunderstood/misconceptions) singing tips as you got pipes dog. Combine that with recording into auto-tune. I think a lot of people don't know you can monitor yourself singing into auto-tune while recording but still record the vocal dry to tweak settings later. Maybe just some tips you've discovered along the way. I kinda discovered recording into auto-tune about 2 years ago and it's really helped me in learning to hit certain notes and find melodies and I can't sing for shit. Just wanna say also dog I really fuck with you and it's rare to find somebody who has had real success with music as an artist reveal some of their tips and secrets. It's dope. I ain't shit and the few hidden gems I've kept close to my heart but I think if I find any success I wanna reveal them just like. You are single-handely giving artists the power to compete with the industry's elite. I respect the fuck outta you. And I been listening for a minute. More of a casual fan if I'm honest. My favorite song of yours is "I'm Sorry Dad"

    Crazy man. I used to use pirated auto tune for years and it always sounded so off. Once I decided to buy it, I bought EFX because it was $50 on a Christmas deal. Let me tell you. Night and day difference. I currently have all of the autotunes and I still ONLY use EFX. It hasn't done me wrong in five years. Also, another trick I found to getting a more natural sounding autotune and still having a higher retune speed, is to put the scale in chromatic. Find your key. Switch to chromatic. Click in the correct notes. Boom. Not sure why, but it always sounds more realistic to me even with higher autotune settings.

    Hey man, I am a really big fan of you as a person, I think you should start showing videos of mixing other artists raw content full verses etc, would be a really smart move as nobody else really does it... what do you think?

      Now why would Devvon do that? He already does so much for us…
      Plus some artists don’t like for their unpolished tracks out there for us to see and hear.
      Can be damaging to there careers mate. (some might not mind).

    I was really hoping you were gonna use the Autotune 8. I have a hard time getting stuff to sound right for my vocals in autotune 8 not matter how I try tweaking the settings.
