Nice to see a review mentioning the 4K support on the Halo projector. I have been using the Halo for a while now. I took a look at the 4K versions of Star Wars and The Goonies and it does show a marked improvement in detail.
do you advice buying it?
@@rantg I've been using Halo for a year now and definitely recommend it. Worth looking at the Halo Plus too which is slightly brighter and has HDR support.
Instead of starting at my cellphone screen, I set this up on my nightstand plug in my cell phone and some earphones and watch my shows on the ceiling
Watching 3D fractals with this projector is awesome.
Hey Shane hope you’re well, even though I don’t plan on getting these anytime soon I still enjoy your content. I’ve just picked my first 4K Blu Rays, can’t wait to see what they look like. I used a USB 2.0 Hub with an ethernet port so that I could add ethernet connection to the unit (as well as additional ports). It works very well for getting faster internet speeds on the Halo.
How well does it work outside? Also can you connect it to Sonos speakers?

The noise in the dark areas is dithering, it's how DLP produces the finer color gradients due to a technical limitation. This looks to be a little worse than full size projectors so may be a little worse with 'pico' DLP chips for some reason, maybe power consumption or LED light sources.
The kick stand, i see on some but not on others? But They all are halo. Which model do and which model dont have it please?
How easy is this to view on the ceiling?
Is optima HDR 30 hd better in it or this
Does it have HDMI ARC?
Does it have Bluetooth connectivity?
Any actual benefit of running 4k content on a 1080p projector ?
It does look cleaner.
All video material has chroma subsampling of 4:2:0. Basically lowering the resolution. So a 1080p 4:4:4 will look significantly more detailed than a 1080p 4:2:0.
So if you play a 4K 4:2:0 downscaled to 1080p you get a 1080p image with 4:4:4.

I think Halo is good enough for indoor video entertainment. I still got my Aurora Black Knight. Not as good performing as the Halo. But still good enough for me.
Does it support blue tooth
What's the 3d like on it?
I didn't have any compatible glasses to test that out.

The attached photo is of the projector projecting onto my white closet doors. I still have not messed with the settings but I can't wait for our first family movie night on a larger scale. If you have issues with volume not working with your firestick, go into volume settings and you will find your solution there.

Not to my knowledge, there's a button that can be pressed to trigger "Hey Google" on the screen and on the remote as well for that.

Halo is 1080P:) For RUclips video, please make sure the video resolution setting is also 1080P. Your WiFi signal may affect it~
I have cc aurora. So many issues and empty promises from the support team. Avoid XGIMI put extra £100 and buy properly projector.

Does anyone else have issues when trying to switch over to Apple TV (by HDMI) from an Xgimi Halo?
Here are some countermeasures for your reference:
Will it show a "No Signal" report or just black/gray screen with a resolution remind?
1) Please kindly confirm if your projector can work with other devices like PC or TV.
2) Please make sure you haven't disabled Live TV
Settings- Apps- See all apps- Live TV- Able/Disable (Choose Able)
3) Please change the HDMI version to 2.0 and have a try.
When plugging in an HDMI cable- press "input button" on remoter to enter into HDMI page- press "shortcut setting" button on remoter- HDMI version- choose HDMI 2.0
4) Please change another HDMI cable and have a check.
5）Please reset your projector.
Settings- Device Preference- Reset

XGIMI is over rated it is junk especially the mogo pro . Tech support forget about it emails though a form of a question! Is what you get. Battery life for real is 40mins max and thats with a over night charge of 12 hrs +! It will not connect to Bluetooth or Hotspot or Wi-Fi though a cellphone galaxy s10 Verizon!!! Unlimited! Had Verizon tech support on the phone for 30 mins and they did there damest even high techs in the department. Couldn't find why in there system and even went on line to look the mogo pro up and its specs. Junk I tell yeah junk. Less then 24 hrs it back in the box and ready to ship back !waste of time and frustration and money!

@@XGIMITech my emails went directly to there web site. WITH LIKE MORE THEN 10 EMAILS TO JUST GET MY MONEY BACK,, WAS OH SO TIME CONSUMING. AND WASTED ALOT OF TIME AND EFFORT FOR A SIMPLE REFUND. I BELIEVE THEY KEEPT MY FUNDS LONG ENOUGH TO GET SOME INTREST ON IT. BEFORE THEY FINNIAL Y SENT MY MONEY BACK.

I'm sorry to hear that experience..
unfortunately I have the XGMI Halo..
and it's night and day to what you described.. probably because in 6 months different there is a working product.
But the projector lasts a solid 2 hours without charge.
There's no need to overcharge the battery as with most devices this can damage the battery.
I have an S10+ and though it was a little strange at first, After the update it definetly connected very Easily with Cable and with Chromecast.
Everything else seems to be working normally after I updated it the first time.. I haven't tried the 3D on it yet.
