You can also watch out my review of Hornby's new L&MR open 3rd Class Carriage that's intended to run with Rocket: ruclips.net/video/JVG1EcMlv0o/видео.html
You know, the character known as Stephen a k a the Rocket from Thomas & Friends certainly happens to be very shockingly surprisingly based on the famously well-known Stephenson's Rocket that officially weights exactly 4 long tons!
Thank you! I try to keep them to around the 10 minute mark. I've seen some reviews where the model isn't even out of the box in that time and I always end up skipping ahead 😆
I think you've been lucky with this one, mine has a chip and it was quite a challenge fitting it. Also mine doesn't sit flat on the rails, the first two tender wheels hardy turn. I've had to add weight by re designing the coal load. Basically I disguised a 10g weight with real coal and put lead shots in the stack. It runs but still skids. But yes it's a beautiful thing, I bought two so i have a spare, no doubt these will soon sell out and getting another will be costly once the ebay greed kicks in.
Really sorry to hear that! I've had my fair share of duds from Hornby in the past so I was really glad that this one was perfect out of the box given they're in short supply. But I can appreciate how frustrating it is to get a new model that then has loads of problems. When Hornby get it right, they really get it right but their quality control can be a bit random a lot of the time which isn't great considering how much models cost these days!
@@ThatModelRailwayGuy whatever you choose I'll be watching it. Small steam locomotives are what my interest are, but small diesel locomotives have my attention lately. The Hornby Ruston was irresistible so I ended up with two of them. They are the only diesel locos I have in my fleet. So whatever you choose for your next review will be of interest to myself and the rest of your viewer's Cheers Josef keep safe.
Yes that would definitely be a good idea for those who have a permanent layout setup. I think the Peco Loco Lift can also just fit in the Rocket and it's three coaches too for those who do have to put their locos away. Thanks for watching 😃
I've bought the rocket but it's staying in the box. I am a bit clumsy. I have had a look & it's lovely model. By the way I have a second terrier in secr livery. Great video.
I don't blame you, I'm amazed mine is still intact! At least it looks great as a presentation piece. Ooh, very nice! I've been eyeing up a SECR Terrier myself so I'm very jealous. Thank you so much watching 👍

Yep, in fact all the Thomas & Friends/Railway Series characters are based on locomotives that did exist in real life. Thanks for watching 👍
@@ThatModelRailwayGuy My pleasure!
Excellent review, good narration and kept to a sensible length.

Nice review, beautiful set. Looking forward to your next review.
Cheers
It really is! Thanks, I’ve got a few more in mind already but is there any in particular you’d like to see? 😊

I would have an engine shed at least the length of the loco and coaches to store it in at a siding. Avoids the need to put it into the box.
