Ive been trying to learn this stuff for years , i got my style from Hendrix , lot of soulful lead playing , but I really need to learn some basic R and B ! How do you get your whammy bar to bend so freely ? Have you ever heard Have Mercy by Don Covay ? Check out the guitar on that cut , its Hendrix rockin some real cool R and B licks !
Pleaeeeaaasseeeee make some super beginners stuff. I love neo soul guitar. But this is kinda advanced. I haven’t even learned all my chords yet. Could u make a series about the Fundamentals n basics of guitar. And go step by step with a neo souls/R&B/gospel focus through beginner intermediate advanced. I’ve tried learning from other places but honestly coming from a black man it’s hard to get into as kk that other stuff cause it not what I like or listen too n u know we don’t really have a lot of US out there on guitar. Anyway hope this finds u in good spirits keep on grinding brother

A lot of what I doing is playing a lick, then the octave.

is he just using the different positions of the Am pentatonic in between chords? He outlined the scale in the beginning but i see him making riffs at different parts of the neck.
