    Two things about this video- yes, the colors too, and view from 'top of the world' and the wineries. And then ,memories. Thinking back ( I am old) 1965 the movie, Shenandoah River. The song. As you mentioned in the video, there are plenty of other hikes to do with just as good of a payoff and not as crowded. Of course our favorite campground in Shenandoah National Park is Lewis Mountain.

    I'm wondering why your Mercedes chassis RV has a "Ram" emblem in the middle of the steering wheel? As for Shenandoah, pretty much every hike has a big vertical component. You're initially either going down to a waterfall or up to a beautiful lookout. It's like every hike has a payoff but you do pay for it with effort.

    • @georgedodwell1721
      @georgedodwell1721 2 года назад

      I've wondered that as well...lol. Mercedes star on the front and Ram badging on the rear and steering wheel. 🤷🏻‍♂️ Sponsors maybe?

    • @EatSeeRV
      @EatSeeRV  2 года назад +2

      🤣 I think y'all are over thinking this a little bit.
      No, we don't have 2 RVs... Come on guys really?
      No we're not sponsored by any major automobile manufacturers... Yet 🤞
      Some quick "Sprinter" history for you. 👇
      The sprinter has always been a Mercedes product.
      But to get around an ultra expensive US import tax (so that we can actually afford to buy them) they (Mercedes) for a number of years shipped incomplete sprinters to US manufacturers like Freightliner and Dodge to complete the builds, rebrand and sell them as Freightliner or Dodge Sprinters respectively. While in reality beyond the grille and steering wheel badges all the sprinters are exactly the same vehicle with exceptions of course in dash trim and updates throughout new model years.
      Now back to the sprinter we own. Maggie, Our RV's chassis is a 2008 "Dodge" Sprinter 3500. It surely came with the ram on the grille and steering wheel. one of the previous owners swapped the Dodge ram grille out for the Mercedes grille but didn't bother changing the ram badge on the wheel.
      I really like the thought you had about us traveling with 2 different RVs. Help us make that dream a reality buy supporting or channel by using our links, becoming a patron or simply cringing through an add or 2 here on RUclips.
      Hope this helps. Thanks for traveling with us! - Dennis

    • @EatSeeRV
      @EatSeeRV  2 года назад

      Weight distribution is tough in a class c RV especially when you're full-time rving. Just have to stay aware of it as your loading everything in and make adjustments along the way if needed. Pay close attention to tire pressures and wear patterns. We're also looking into rear suspension upgrades.
      Personally weight is a challenge for me (Dennis). It looks like we eat out constantly on the channel, but we actually cook the majority of our meals in the RV. This helps a lot.
      We also have a "no beer in the RV" rule that keeps me from drinking too many calories daily.
      This year I've struggled finding a rhythm in my workout routine and it shows.
      Bit of a ramble but I hope this helps. - Dennis

If you have any questions about hiking it let me know. There are also a ton of RUclips videos of people that have thru-hiked the whole thing. The best one is Homemade Wanderlust by Dixie.
