Mr X was scary to me at first, but after you figure him out he is more of an irritation, because he does just interrupt gameplay. But, hes also super easy to deal with
I quickly found out either late 1st run or 2nd that no matter what Mr. X can't enter any room in which he can easily corner you in or any room with a typewriter beside the entrance hall. Can get him on many things but poor sportsmanship is not one of them oddly enough despite very much wanting you dead. I wouldn't be surprised that Mr. X is made to spawn up there so you don't see him not being able to enter the secret room (despite being a save room so he can't go in anyway. Didn't know he couldn't go toward the basement though, thought he could since he's set to spawn during 4th survivor in that hallway
It's amazing how REmake2 got me into the survival horror genre, I felt like I finally "got it", loved the game... then REmake3 and its greedy-unfinished-cashgrab-state came out and completely turned me off of Resident Evil... All in just 2 years!
