A tip i got from my advanced friend that really helped me to generate more power is to relax your grip and then squeeze it just before the contact with the shuttle. Squeezing your grip makes your arm pronate faster, therefore increasing the racket swing speed and the power of your smash

    Good evening Sir,
    Awesome tutorial!
Can you please do a tutorial on footwork?
I have been having problem with slow footwork.
Also, suggest some drills to practice to get smooth and agile footwork.
    Thank you

if u dont mind chinese, this video (ruclips.net/video/mJPGXieG1ZA/видео.html) is talking about a "zone" to return to when u are doing recovery steps or anticipating the next strike from the opponent. U can watch it from 3:00 mins, the front part is just talking about the drawbacks of going back to the center all the time. The back part (from 9:00 mins) is talking about how to expand your safe "zone", there are 3 exercises:
      1. all irregular footwork, 3min/set, rest 1-2min after each set
      2. full court footwork and recovery to your "zone", 5min/set, 3min rest after each set
      3. double under, 50 jump/set, 4-6set/day

My problem in badminton is when I do a light shot I always put too little power into it.
And is there a good way to defend a smash against someone or is it just good prediction.

my technique is good, i pronate my arm, use body rotation and I have a relaxed grip but my smash isn't as strong as those in a higher category than me. Is this just down to practice and experience or down to racket choice?

Great video, thanks! However, question on the wall swing practice. I get the alignment, but isn't that taking the shuttle too high? The wall swing you're doing is at 12 o'clock, shouldn't we be contacting the shuttle around 1 o'clock? Thanks!

    • @debg6686
      @debg6686 2 года назад +2

Two different things bro. Wall swing is to correct your alignment not for the point of contact . Then you see the third point for point of contact.. name it as 11 o clock or 1 o clock point there is shuttle should be in front of you to generate power. Very useful video 👍

the centre part which is also known as the "sweet spot of the badminton racket". It applies the force with utmost efficiency hence resulting in a powerful smash that your body can allow.

one of yr better video detailing ..majority of issues that can give a POWERFUL SMASH ( not perfect smash)mind u......lacking.......1. able to identify if shuttl is high enough & the speed good enough for a ""sensible"" smah......2. able to smash to the position( area) that will give u the result u wanted...e.g. win the point ideal spot to aom..A. the weaker player B. the empty space ...C. straight to the body of the opposition.........IF THESE ARE NOT INCLUDED, THE THE SMASH IS JUST A HARD HIT, PROVIDING THE POWER FOR THE OPPOSITION TO GUIDE THE SHUTTLE INTO THE EMPTY HALF OF YR SIDE OF COURT............OH YES, YOU MISS THE MOST IMPORTANT ADVICE ON THE CLIP..WHERE WOULD YR BODY/FOOTWORK BE FOLLOWING THE SMASH..................THE SMAH MAY BE""PERFECT"" BUT without the correct follow up.....u will loose the point still.............................yes.......there is alot more in coaching & making a vedio

    On 3rd tips... .
Its better to see or know your racket's arc or hitting thrust... like rainbow... .
    On 4th tips... .
Using gravity wise it much better for experts.. . Because even shuttle trajectory will follow its gravity pull.. . Gravity always gives or charge uprate the velocity... .any object.. .
    On 5th tips.... .
Dont exhale to much... . Just give your all force then let your throat open and relax to the suppress air from lungs will come out naturally. Only the unwanted buffing will come out... . Ocer exhailing is exhausting your charged force.. so smash will deducted 50% potential than natural smashing skill
