    The 3.6L Pentastar is a great engine! I love my 2012 Wrangler, it's just a little expensive to work on. You need $50 worth of intake gaskets to replace the spark plugs, because the driver's side bank is hidden under the intake. The automatic transmission in my 2012 was outsourced to Mercedes (I don't know if they still do), very smooth shifts and the tap shift is great! I daily drive mine and it's worth every penny!

    200,000 miles on my 2012 Chrysler T/C van which was a good vehicle. I had the lifetime warranty and probably had $8,000-9,000 in repairs on warranty. Chrysler sold the warranty to a 3rd party and it was getting harder to get repairs approved. They would say “ that’s normal wear, can’t repair it twice under warranty”. I switched dealers and that helped some with the warranty issues.
    That was a great program while it lasted.

    • @Salvation4DJews
      @Salvation4DJews 2 года назад +6

      What kind of Kmart special axle seals are they putting on these rolling piles of junk? How about buying a car that doesn't need a damn warranty? I bought a Silverado in 2003. I drove that thing hard enough to wear out several F-150's and Dodge Rams. In my old age I am slightly ashamed at how badly I treated that truck. Yet, it's been only tires, brakes, oil, oil pressure sensor at 150,000 miles and the rear axle seals at 160,000 miles. That's it. Seeing as how QC has fallen off a cliff, I guess I'll be driving my Silverado until I cross over the Jordan.

    I’ve had a 2001 Jeep Grand Cherokee WJ with the 4.0 l6, but unfortunately the engine cut its life short because the engine blew it’s guts out. I’ve took care of the Jeep very well but the previous owners never did and they really beat the heck out of it. Just days before the engine blew up I heard a rattling noise from the engine every time I rev it I really couldn’t figure it out what’s wrong with it. Until I found out after that I had a rod knock that it the piston rod shot right the oil pan and completely destroyed my engine. I really love Jeep’s but 90s and early 2000s are my favorite when Daimler Chrysler was around. I’ll get another Jeep someday but only as a weekend off road Toy instead of daily driving. Because basically I turn my 2001 Jeep Grand Cherokee into endless money pit for 3 years.

    Way back when I was in high school a guy I knew had either a 1970 or 71 Jeep with the straight 6 and manual transmission. That thing was indestructible. It was so overbuilt you could beat it to death and it didn't phase it. But now I wouldn't touch a Jeep especially after the merger with Fiat.
