Like yourself, last year I listened to this gem without knowing what I was getting in for. It floored me. I ended up listening to their whole album that night. I love all their songs. I listend to their whole discography easily >100 times. Their lycics, their vocals, everything is amazing. I would desperately love more analysis videos of their songs, because I want to understand how they are so amazing.
I was all 'why does this sound so familiar' and it's because the algorithm gods introduced me to "The Amazing Devil" awhile ago, but I only really listen when they pop up in my feed, so I forget their name.
This song is in my top 5 from this band. i agree with 'phenomenal' because a combination of lyrics and voice plus that musical track, its like a spell. If your interested in another "drinking song for the socially anxious" is fun, funny, but some of the plays on words are fantastic and the gentle feel of the vocals is fantastic. Don't feel bad about not recognizing him- I literally stumbled upon an actual music video for this song by them and watched it at least 10 times before I realized it was Joey Batey! I was literally *staring at him* and didn't clock him!
