Thanks Spicy. You just sold me this bike. Your vid was far more informative and usefull then any reviews I have read. This looks just like the sort thing a lazy, not so young any more, bugger like me needs.
only issue is you cant rev it up outside McDonalds & you cant wake everyone up at 3am on a sunday lol
rudeboys4eva Put a baseball card in the spokes like a big boy bike. lol
a plastic bottle rammed in between the tire and frame has the same effect haha
I've got an electric mtb, its got a Bosch motor though. The good thing about it is that you can ride it through parks or wherever you like and no one will bat an eyelid.
After 51 years I have given up motorcycles after someone tried to steal mine I have now got myself a fat tire ebike and I love it so much so I am thinking of getting a second ebike to keep it company lol.
Should the battery go flat while you're out, you'll make up for the lack of workout pedalling the whole thing back..
Yep its a bitch when that happens, defo need rescuing on this one.
I have one of these, they are heavy, hard to stay folded too. Nice bike to ride though. Nippy.
YOU GOT IT JUST BOUGHT ONE WORTH 3500 TOP 2018 FULL SUSPENSION XT 1500 BIGEST MID DRIVE TOP OUT FIT VOLT CENTRE 5 DAY TO CUSTOM ASEMBLE ! NOW THIS IS A BIKE !
Spicy the kinda guy that subscribes to meerkat monthly
not 5 years.. every 2nd 15 year old here gets a 50cc street legal dirtbike which is still a lot of fun and goes up to 40 -50 mph
if it does 40-50mph then its not street legal
trust me. noone gives a shit and noone rides on speed limit
they have to sell those 50cc bikes already way weakened down but they're easy to 'fix' then they easily go 10-20 mph faster than how you bought it which most people do
Omg that forest walk!! Looks like New Zealand! Fun!
+Pretty Kitty shame it's only about half a mile long
Haha, great video! You certainly put a smile on my face, too!
What is the max speed on throttle only?
How do work head light ? do you know any idea ?
have a look at a Cyclotricity Stealth 1000.
1000w hub motor. Not technically road legal but will do 30mph on the throttle without pedalling at all. And you can get them for a grand. Super fun bikes.
everyone hates on 50cc but tbh most fun I had i even used to do 60+ miles aday to college and back and cost nothing to run and I often miss mine
My height is 163 cm, I was wondering whether this bike would be suitable for me?
Interesting video here Spicy! Love how you still have the lid on! I personally think the 50cc range in the UK is quite pointless, so I agree that they will be replaced soon
Good vid would love to see you do some more ebike reviews. I dunno what its like there but here in the US the laws will hold them back from replacing 50cc scooters. Now if they allowed them to do 30mph they could easily replace them. Things in the US tend to be a bit too spread out for 20mph to really cut it unless you are in a big town/city.
whats the song at the very start...Watch me ride
Hi Spicy,
Quick hello from a new Sub.
Videos are great and I have started watching your older stuff, today watched the Project Divi series 👍🏻
+MrK 81 awesome welcome dude 😀
can i ask in vid you said I'm not really trying. and I'm doing 22mph. can you remeber what gear you were in there ?. Thanks..
Is London the world capital for scooter thievery at this point? It seems insane but maybe it's more common elsewhere.
No but motorcycle theft is the worst in london out of the whole of the UK.
Does a working throttle come with it?
On a more serious note, for that price I'd like to know if it has regenerative braking, or the ability to charge whilst going down hill... ?? Also since these bikes are limited to 250watts (1/3 Horsepower), lightweight solar cells added to the bike would extend it's range they could be used in the wheels (some racing cycles have 'solid' wheels without spokes.
Cassion53 no and no sadly
Nope it doesnt, thats the one question I always get asked on mine.
Regenerative braking isn't as efficient, it won't supply enough power to compensate for going up the hill in the first place, it's not a feature worth worrying about :\
The slingshot channel reference?
How much does that cost?
how long the battery last for?
I have a ebike that goes 30mph with throttle. They are a company called cyclotricty. Based on the uk. The have a store in mill Brooke. Look them up. Pretty cheap aswell
Would have been so funny seeing you on the with a motorbike helmet on mate
Mechanical doping, you were riding at the level of a highly trained cyclist with none of the work.
I hate these bikes.
(I always have to pass them to show I'm stronger than their motor, and it always hurts :P )
Seriously though, riding as if you were always going downhill, or with the wind in your back would be great.
+coast2coast00 that's why I ride Motorcycles you don't have to peddle 😀
It has a side stand! So cute.
So is this that review we weren't going to guess?
Spicy big foot would be on fat bike tyres, the max you can have legally in the UK is 250W motor it will power you up to around 13.5ish MPH only, anything after that you need to do with pedalpower and the motor. Most of them will hit 30ish, however the american laws allow for 750W. This allows 20mph stable speed no pedaling (even higher with pedal assist), the issue behind the UK laws is the 250 only work in citys and flat land. If you live anywhere with a hill the motors will not power you up the hill on there own, they do not have enough power, you cause massive stress on the motor with overheating and ware and tear etc.
You can buy an aftermarket "kit" for £300 and bolt it to any bike you have, there is honestly is no need to pay £1,200+
I wouldn't pay £300 for a "kit' that you bolt on to a bike you already own. Just make your own from a drill and couple of battery packs.
This bike will get you up the steepest road in the UK. It's around the same steepness as the steepest one in San Francisco. There is a promotional video of it on RUclips somewhere.
Naaaah! 49cc scooter will always be better than that thing xD
the Bigfoot bike is known as a fat bike/fat mountain bike.
because of the tyres
nothing wrong with riding a bicycle with a full face bash hat I had to get mine home when I got it the looks a got were odd but who cares hahahahha
Squid!
+Phil480 totally. 😎😁
I keep forgetting the fact that you are on an electric bicycle, so I keep wondering why you are going so slow
Is the bike really as heavy to hold as they claim in reviews ?
I have no idea what people have said, so i can't answer that. But they do weigh quite a bit more than a conventional bicycle.
spicy110 thanks for the answer! Just one more question.. how did you find it to go upwards really steep hills. Does the bike have a hard time getting over it or is it quite managable.. i live on a hill and have to commute down and up a really steep hill. So before i buy an ebike i wanna make sure they have enough power to manage hills..!?
Ride the Zero SR already
Its a little weird hmmmmk
OK for certain jobs, but in terms of danger the same as a bicycle - i.e. you're constantly being overtaken and too slow.
Better off with a small or 125cc bike/scooter if you want a very cheap transport option.
I did 190 miles on mine the other day, no problem - try that on an electrically assisted bicycle.
+monck55 yes that's what I said they can replace 50cc scooters not 125cc
.
