Probably the best highlight in a big match I’ve ever seen when all his brood lords caught a nuke to the face. Did they shrink the blast radius since then? I really think it should be wider and do more damage but cost 150/150 and the enemy doesn’t get to see the red target but gets an alert of the general vicinity instead (roughly a sensor tower radius and blast should wipe out a CC, hatch, lair and any other structure within a 3 queen width radius of ground zero, all tumors, static D, light units within essentially the radius of a the middle of a base and the minerals. Right now nukes hit maybe a 3 unit radius and don’t even kill a base with a direct hit.
Bro had PTSD and Vietnam flashbacks and allowed himself to be boxed like a fish
Ryung absolutely dominated Solar in that second game. Looked like he was toying with him.

Well maru also nuked his own vikings vs parting once so maybe his nukes are just that much more deadly.
@@user-mv2nn6rw2w did they get nerfed at one point? I swear a nuke now wouldn’t hit that radius of brood lords. Maybe add a fallout type of radiation damage that acts like a psi storm for 15 seconds? Just some thoughts.
I still think the nuke should land if the ghost dies but maybe have some latitude on where it lands based on how close it was to impact vs when the ghost dies allowing for a deterrent as the Terran to fire them since you could wipe out your own army if your ghost gets picked off when it’s on the way down.
One of those 2 not both of course and up the cost of production a bit

Never seen Ryung and wow. Nice play. Like a slower Maru but sophisticated in thought. If Clem adopted ravens and more Vikings with his bio he’d be the best SC2 player in the world

@@lefthanded0440 Clem 2nd for sure, possibly 3rd after Reynor. Clem's micro sets him apart, but other than that he's really not that special imo. Without marine and widow mine targets, he wouldn't be in the conversation - and I guarantee he'll drop now the mines have been nerfed.

Maru had a Bad time, he dropped out of Ro16 together with Scarlett who 2:0ed maru… i think he had severe wrist issues.

However rare it is, nothing compares to seeing a Terran come up with a new, creative build. The price of having to watch boring MMM and mass mine games is totally worth seeing mass hellclone and viking/liberator/nuke plays out of Ryung here

Why does solar just... REFUSE To Build Anti Air?
He had ravagers, they can kinda anti air XD

As best I can tell, it's because of the investment in time and resources to make a spire and enough mutalisks/corruptors to chase down and kill medivacs/other air units means that you can easily end up with not enough ground forces to survive a hard push, and unlike terran, 1 or 2 mutas or corruptors just can't safely get anything meaningful accomplished compared to 1 or 2 liberators or vikings. So it's either a core chunk of your army build that you get upgrades for or completely absent.
I really think Solar threw these games, like mentioned he lacked any anti air. Just 5-6 corrupters would have been enough. Maybe a bit more for that last fight. But who seriously goes into a fight vs like 10 Liberators with ZERO anti air. That’s just stupid. And that cost him that game aswell.
Also he ran into soooo much tank fire where he lost his whole army just to get the tanks.

Ryung, using a single Raven and Winter realizing that a pro is doing what he has been saying for them to do was great. Winter sounded conflicted at the thought that he was right! Haha good stuff

It's the cynical, intellectual, and dark humor that I keep coming back for.
I'd like to point out, a "low APM" (by his own admission) player kept a raven alive for 20+ minutes. It's not impossible and you don't need to build 5 ravens and lose them. Just a single raven can be really good value.
As Winter said, work smarter, not harder.

Solar has always been bad at infestors, which is key for a Zerg user when completing with top class Terrens.

I'm getting back into SC2 after having not played since WoL. I got to Diamond or Plat or something like that in ranked at the time. I'm looking for nice and easy Zerg opening builds based on if I feel safe or not. Can anybody recommend some videos/articles/reddit posts/ etc? The shorter the better! ( I watch casts daily still)
hey, try YT channel pig coaching. also winter have low apm series which is kind of same thing but more on entertainment side
B2GM (bronze to gm) series are a good way to get back into things. Winter has Low apm challenge which is more entertaining than others. PiG's series are good also.
Vibe has the best B2GM ever made, Winter low APM is the close 2nd ;)
