    Before yesterday i had no idea one of these were installed with my air suspension. Was able to easily locate and work the purging out. Thanks a bunch!

    Havent ran a water trap in 7 years of running air ride, havent noticed any damage and this is during heavy winters as well as hot summers.. maybe I should install one..

    Looking for a 1/8 npt port water trap... Do you have any anything available in that size because I only see 1/4 npt and 3/8 npt.

  • @8althaZar

    I am frequently asked: why not put the trap between compressor and tank to trap water as „early“ as possible?
    As correctly described here the water condensates out of the hot air while cooling down. And that happens mostly in you tank where the air sits for a while and not in the short line between the compressor and tank.
    You‘re welcome.

    • @bagriders
      @bagriders  3 года назад

      That is a great point Balthasar! It is a common misconception that a water trap between the compressor and the tank is the best place to put it! Always best to capture as much water as possible before it can go into your bags, and that leaves between the tank and the manifold as the best spot to do so.

      @@bagriders where should the water trap be installed then?

  • @laloperez7834

    If I’m planning on putting 2 extra water traps between my duel compressors and tank, I’m guessing my smc check valve from the compressor should screw into one side of the water trap but for the other side is there a fitting that can directly connect the water trap to the tank. or do I need to run a ptc fitting after the trap with a short airline into another ptc fitting that is connected to the tank.

    • @bagriders
      @bagriders  2 года назад

      We recommend just running the water traps between the tank and manifold. But the fitting you are looking for is called a Parker Hex Nipple. You can find it here www.bagriders.com/parker-hex-nipple.html

    Do you still need to drain the big air tank if you have water trap ? If so : Before draining the tank i need to let air out ? Is my first time when i use something like this

    • @bagriders
      @bagriders  Год назад

      Yes you will still want to drain the tank if you have a water trap. When letting air out of the tank you can drain the water at the same time by using the port located at it lowest point where water collects. If you tank doesn't have a tank drain kit already let us know and we can show you where to get one.

      @@bagriders Hello and thanks, next problem: Why my presets never stay the same ? Even when i click it to set my presets will not reach what i preseted. Also Airtank is losing PSI when i drive or over the night when car is parked , when i go to start the car my PSI is low, is this normal?

    • @bagriders
      @bagriders  Год назад

      @@bogdan.r.sHey, we need a little more info! By how many PSI are your pressure based presets fluctuating? What control system are you using?
      No you tank should not be losing any pressure over night. We will release a video in the next couple of months with some pointers. But the most popular method is soapy water in a spray bottle, you spray potential leak points, and watch carefully for bubbles that grow!

  • @richardtome7239

    Does the trap need to be mounted to the tank? Or can I mount the trap in the spare tire area so it’s hidden as long as it’s between the tank and manifold?

    • @bagriders

      No it doesn't. Just make sure the water trap is vertical!

      That could be a possibility. Best way to check is by spraying the water trap down with soapy water.
