As a basketball player, the 2 things I am focusing on in the video is Kyrie's footwork and how he guards the ball before his pull up. Thanks for the slowmotion version Dev.
The biggest thing that goes unnoticed for kyrie is how he manipulates the ball on layups. Specifically, he can go one handed to show the ball at different angles but his hands aren't as big as say Jordan so he times his off hand to control the ball with 2 hands at the point the defender bumps him and then finishes with one hand to show the ball at different angles. It's something he does better than anyone.

People don’t realize how difficult it is to be on balance this consistently. It’s crazy how on balance he is with every single movement. Most players have a few movements where they are on balance…maybe it’s the no dribble triple threat, or right to left crossover. But Kyrie’s balance on every movement regardless of what combination he uses and regardless of what the defender does is extraordinary. And you can tell he’s not even going at full speed, this is maybe 70-75% at the very most? Perhaps even closer to half speed than full speed. It’s nuts

5:02 is an excellent example of the difference in being a good player, and being in the NBA. Ol boy on offense lost his balance and did not think ahead of the pump fake. He maybe lost .2 seconds on what could have otherwise been a strong (but still contested) take.
Its crazy how kai's post work also has a deep bag. Like, guys like jalen brunson and other big body guards have their frame and weight in the post, whereas kyrie is almost entirely post moves to force the defender to make a step where kai can beat them. He does all this in an NBA that gets taller than him every draft.
His ability to mentally and physically do transferring moves so well on the court with his movements and body control allows him to play both sides very crafty even on defense he knows how to move around and rotate well that’s why he’s so hard to predict on offense
In my mind and for my money, Kyrie is the most complete offensive player ever. this is gonna sound crazy but even tho he may not have the scoring numbers, but is the reincarnation of AI(except he is forced to play the 1). his skill level is completely off the charts

What’s crazy is he said Kyrie was coming off that injusry so he still hurt going half spped
@@NoreagaMan I wouldn't even say it was an average workout. It was like playing with his children.. the guy started the video by saying he was Injured and underweight. He was just getting his feet wet. Pretty funny. What do the kids say now a days? There are levels to this. Hahah so cringe.
@@NoreagaManI mean yeah running 1s against a perennial all-star PG would be a big moment for most ppl. You acting like you wouldn’t be gasing this up.
@@NoreagaMan It's *Kyrie Fucken Irving*! Of course its going to be most hoopers' biggest moment ever, stop fronting for internet likes LOL
Makes me realize that Kyrie being at 6'2 seems small on TV when i watch the games but he is really pretty big compared to regular sized dudes like yourself.
bruce lee of basketball.
stumbled into here, and this production is 3stars! such a cool idea, well narrated, little and not disturbing music, camera...dang. A format enthusiastic peeps can stand behind. Thank you for this high quality video!
We Finally Getting DEV vs KYRIE !??
They alr played
@@CanadaMadeCaleb ik but they never uploaded the video on RUclips, only on the App. I thought this was it.
Kyrie killing em
This video is freaking awesome, i truly like Kyrie's handles and the footwork he puts on it, its really awesome.
Skill wise, Kyrie is easily the most skillful player to ever exist. No one even comes close to this dude. There is nothing he can’t do and he does it comfortably as well. I’m so glad he had such success in Dallas this year. He took a step back and played being a role 2nd option player. Probably the best version of Kyrie we’ve seen because of it.
No one disagrees with your review. Dude is legendary 🙌
GOAT in both Kyrue and Dev. Great content brother
If Oliver hand checks then what does Dev do?😂
While I’m still drooling that you got Kyrie on here, when you said “and his arms are longer than I thought they were” you had me rollin. Great video!
This dude is poetry in motion.......... I always think that he is way better than Iverson.......
Him talking to hesi how hesi talks to everyone else is a crazy sight😂😂
Ky will mos def talk to you if you start
Most SKILLED player to play in the A…kobe is a close 2nd
I'm a brazilian fan and I've been watching this channel since 2019, for me it is the best basketball channel in the youtube. I'm happy to see how far In The Lab is going :)
one of the greatest to ever play the game. if it weren't for politics he would've been on the olympics team this year and they would've won even easier
Kyrie finish is like a Rolex polished, refined, and always on time.
2:09 travel.
Yeah, looks like a travel with moving and lifting his pivot foot in different directions
Dang. Can the man establish a pivot foot. You’d be a horrible ref
😂😂😂
pivot
@@npcstage21 moved the pivot he established
it's weird to see Kyrie guarded by smaller players. Used to see him guarded by way taller defenders in the league.
yo man, iam a GSW fan and what this dude did on 2016 NBA Finals was insane. He is a beast
always gone love dev videos! been there since the start & he will answer and debate with you in the comments ! he a real one! whenever you tryna hoop dev & you in atl or philly just hit me up
"makes you work so hard on offense, that it almost feels like he is playing defense." *** EXACTLY (speaking from experience)
0:00 that rewind of Kyrie is 🥶
By far the Best episode, wild seeing you play him.
THis may be the most interesting series I've ever watched! Well done mate
