SDN Sydaske vs. SEGS Meltup. This set is part of the testing phase of the Arknights PvP League, a community-run competitive Arknights effort. During this match, the team names are for vanity purposes only, and we are still coming up with ideas on how to implement teams/clans into the final League. Heyyy that's me :D
Thanks again to LeSot for giving me the chance to play it was amazing!
And I will win it next time, mark my words.
In the mean time, I redid the non scuffed version of my runs if that's interesting to you.
yo keep spirit bro💪
Well said man hope to se ya next time
Why the Chen bans?
Yeah, I'd understand Chen on WD-EX-8 due to the fart cloud stacking strat, but not sure why you'd do it otherwise.
There were ways on some maps to make it easier by one shooting, or by dropping her S2 to either prevent a leak or finish the last few enemies and gain time on the finish. I didn't wanna let it happen as mine isn't built. Also most maps were easy so the bans weren't that impactful (only one ban in the whole thing was a problem for me)
not even 20 seconds in and Vifer already proving he can't read. Meltup started in January of *2022* while Sydaske started in Feb of *2020. Meltup didn't start 1 month earlier, he started 23 months after*
23 months later and completely beats the guy playing since 2020 in both player level and operators, yikes.
en cant read kekw xD
I’m pretty sure that’s just a graphic typo, could be that he started in 2020 not 2022
@blight tbf.. sydaske probably quit arknight for sometime then come back
@@blight1885
Bruh, he's a seasonal player he's ops are bit low level
I can't express how enjoyable it was running the back end of the event. While it was quite a bit of work getting everything going, it was totally worth it being able to interact with the participants who really make this event happen. Hope you all enjoy the pvp matchup and we hope to bring more in the future to those of you that are interested in maybe taking part sometime :D
This really does look like a fun project for sure. Like this has to be some fun shit going in the background when working with all of these folks.
Wait…. Are you the new mod ?
@@xcjsmith5310 Yes. Even though it was 9 months ago when Vifer accepted me to be one of his moderators, I am indeed the newest (along with another) Moderator for Vifer.
thanks for the hard work!
Darrion Gigachad
Big credit to all the players/backend staff for their efforts, and Vifer for cooking up this content
This was genuinely entertaining as fuck to watch.
They should make an Esports for arknights
ong they really should, lmao, vifer doing a lot of justice with these kinds of potential
pretty sure they did some of this in CN. I forgot what event or game mode was that.
@@gonoki888 closest thing I know is CN teams aiming for the highest risks in CC in various niches possible. It's kinda amazing learning that some of the tightest strategies around were actually done by a group of Doktahs
@@Blaze18100actually... This is the reason PvP time attack match fun. We can see 1-5 stars OP's used just because to achieve impossible
@@dalgona4819 there's was a few games like this between 2 different clear groups on bilibili during a few CCs. There was also a is3 difficulty 15 tournament with some of the best players globally that they called the "Magic" cup
A really cool showcase of the veteran in AK.
I think a nice addition to this league would be a perma ban slot.
So like, first match, ban 5 operators, but the first ban from either side will carry over for other team on top of their next ban.
For example, first match: left ban Chalter, right ban Mlynar, then they proceed to ban the next 4 operators as usual.
2nd match: The Chalter and Mlynar are still banned, left ban Pozy, right ban NTR, then ban the next 4 operators again.
3rd match: Chalter, Mlynar, Pozy and NTR are banned, and they continue on and on till the end.
So basically, each first ban from each side carry over on top of the 5 bans per match. This does limit newbie with non-built account but given the growing list of broken op like Texalter, it will force more forward thinking strategies and require a more diverse roster than just powering through.
not only that, but more variety of maps should be available as well. in a best of 3, maybe 7 maps? although it seems like gate maps are required, but i wonder if some non-boss maps but interesting event mechanics should be included as well?
That's a great idea. Promoting not just speed, but creative clears, as well. It would make the drafting stage more complicated for the players too, as more and more obvious/brute force ops leave the pool.
I think a point system would be better than the ban system IMHO.
So drafts with lower level operators would be viable and smaller teams would work
Maybe like the CC risk system? The more restrictions you take then the more points you get
A Ban system with a Hope system would be great IMO.
Give them a set of points and a choice on operators to ban. With over 200+ operators, it's hard to find ways to actually hinder the opponent with bans unless it's CC or if the player has a niche. I think with a Hope system (like in IS2/IS3) players will have to strategize more on the operators that they will bring. For instance, lower rarity ops would be cheaper, and then 6-star operators more expensive).
Someone else suggested a perma ban per round which IMO is also good~
I think that the "standard esports duel format" doesn't really fit arknights.
It's deeply flawed from various perspectives and it's clear how most of the "esports things" are forced af, such as bans.
Furthermore it looks like the p2w player is favored (a hope system would help but not solve the problem).
I think that a better setup would see each player preparing a squad for a clear of a selected stage and then challenging the other player to clear the same stage with the same team (kinda like an attack/defend scenario), thus incentivizing the players to "study the game" and explore niche strategies to catch other players off guard.
As far as scoring goes, it could be measured as the difference between the original clear time and the opponent clear time.
@@riga2391 I seen one fun tournament in Dota 2 where each team can chose 2 heroes that cannot be banned, but still can be picked by anyone
One way to make it interesting would be to have the operators being chosen one at a time between the 2 doctors and each op chosen by one would be unavailable to the other. Another way would be to ban ops that were used in previous rounds from being used in future rounds
I think it would be enjoyable beside ban... Here my thoughts:
1. Rarity points, the lower rarity OP's you used the more points you can get but minus by 10 for each 1 minutes the user takes to finishing stages,
Here are points :1* is 200, 2* is 100, 3* is 50, 4* is 25, and 5 and 6 are 10 per each bringing them into roster
Explaination: i have 12 OP's consists 3 robot, 2 two stars, 2 3 stars, and 3 5stars and 2 six stars. And i finished the stage in 3 minutes thus
1200+200+100+50-30.. that would be great since no one used robots and 2 star and 3 star, now they should reconsider...
Do more of this content, I'm loving Arknights as an eSport.
This is a fun watch.
Yeah a co caster would be great
As always we can count on Mr. Vifer being able to make some epic content with some amazing editing layouts. Like I have to say these are some of the best and enjoyable content that I see from the arknight community, we are blessed to have people like Vifer being apart of this community and I only wish the best for you chief! Keep up the great content and I will be on Sydaskes support with that match.
this is so intense, it gave me Texas alter
Sydaske was a hired actor KEKW
Jokes aside everyone did great during the competition, looking forward to future pvp events
I'm only playing to be paid so you know that next time I'm winning it :D
@@sydaske_ my man that 10 ops and 4* runs where insane you played realy well and made a better show of compatitive game thats fun
@@moodq7733 I saw 3* in there as well
This was genuinely entertaining to watch , thank you everyone !
Arknights became a Esports competitive one dream will come true i hope one day that will happened btw interesting they both played well gg for both of them❤
This was really enjoyable to watch! I hope you do more of this. Just as a suggestion though they should have a timer rather than playing at the same time as a player with a better pc will win most of the time.
that was surprisingly entertaining.
I did not think I'd enjoy this as much as I thought
This was actually sooo entertaining, would love to see more
Love these. They are always surprisingly exciting. It would be great to have some more commentators. Also, I don’t know if they are really doing the stage simultaneously or not, but it might be fun to do a time trial where we see the stages separately with a clock running. Mostly because I watch on my phone and it is hard to see everything. 😂
This is really cool maybe a six star limit would be cool to add
thank you Vifer for eventing arranging this.
What an amazing content, I've enjoyed it so much
I feel like the format should be 2 6 stars; 4 5 stars; 4 3/2 stars
This was very enjoyable! I am nowhere near their level of play. I really loved the different strategies and usages of the ops. Bravo!
This goes really hard at times!
By a couple of days you mean a couple of years ?
Would love to see that ! Was amazing !
This was genuinely enjoyable to watch! Newcomers can learn lots of things while watching arknights in an esports perspective
Im really looking forward to it, it so enjoyable
Very cool bro! I would reaaally love to see more!
omg youve made me feel super excited with that casting style,if we have one more caster in this in would be fking lit
Bruh this was way more exciting than i initially thought it looks really fun, great video man.
Didn't know i wanted eSports for arknights, but now i do. Hope you do more videos like these, they are really fun
this was really cool! hope to see more
This wouldn't be as exciting without that great casting of yours. Great work!
The shoutcasting was nice, so much nice info for new players here
we absolutely need more of this.
every time vifer says mlynar i just lose it
and i love this series sm, pls make more!!
amazing content love this esports formula
That was awesome! I am totally watching more of this
I would actually love to watch this more regularly.
How long have you been playing Arknights?
Me: Since the game launch
So you must be good then?
Me: nervous laugh
I like this content a lot. Hope there will be like this in esport.
Not too long ago, Girls' Frontline had an Esports scene just like this. However, it would only really take place around story events as when they updated it, some really hard ranking maps were available for this kind of gameplay. It was so great to watch. This definitely reminds of me of that kind of magic during the opening days of GFL Esports.
This is so much fun I need more of this
I love this series. keep this up XD
Damn, this was extremely good and exciting. Honestly, I did not think PVP arknights could be that neat.
this is so fun i didn't expect that you can do this with arknights game.
Chapter 10: "nukes half the map"
my Hoshi on that half: "takes 500 dmg" this but a scratch
"Maybe młynar really is that good" xD nice Vifer. I mean ye he is propably the best dmg dealer if he stacks his passiv
Wow! This actually very interesting!!
The right side just spamming 6* lol, left side more creative and his strat is so damn good
Applying a recruitment cost like in IS mode can also add some challenging to the match as well
imagine after a banning phase, you only have a limitted amount of hope to pick your ops and then
the first player who got mission complete was the winner.
this was very fun to watch
I agree for the next episode we must invite a Arknights pro caster. This is so fun and i didn't expect it to be this intense.
This was kinda scuffed, but still fun as hell to watch haha. Nice work.
Definitely needs some rule tweaks though; and it would be brutal to see selections and bans possibly relegated by rarity-- something like only allowing three 6* selections in a team composition. That would take brute force off the table almost indefinitely and would stand to give lesser Ops and strats more spotlight.
That was intense! Hoping for more Arknights eSports >:D
wow this was really fun
AK PVP coming soon to a stream near you!
This is an actually interesting concept. I would love to make some adjustments here and there.
Like using *4 operators gives more points instead using *6 operators. 16 or 20 operators ban instead of 10. Level restrictions on some maps, so we can have more map options. But overall is all great!!
I love this!
wow cool concept, maybe for the winner of 5 stages, we can count the cummulative of different time each player clear the stage. Because someone can clear the stage significantly faster than the other and I think thats a bonus point to be considered, not only finish first
or maybe, do a IS marathon and see who beat the last boss first is cool, too
banger vids. love the competition. would love seeing more of these :love
please invite Kukki or Kyo for commentary.
Gotta love the PVP arknights content this should become an actual IRL event for arknights like how pvp was made by the community for the game Catherine.
6-star should be limited to 1 operator to prevent brute force, along with 5* can only bring two or three of them.
Sounds something I would 100% stream in every platform seems fun
ggwp guys!
19:02 meltup throwing with that mudrock placement😭😭
SO TRUE! I was so tunnel visioning on killing Manfred that the last two mobs didn't look like a threat. Placing Mudrock just one tile to the right would be a win. But, oh well, we would not get to do WD-EX-8 otherwise 😉
@meltup7283 well you still manage to win trough the match with that loss, congrats man
HYPE🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Damn.. idk it can be this fun
Did not expect it to be as hype as it was tbh
Need a Kyo vs Ecko match
I literally love this so much. We need more content like this!!! Keep up the great work!
Man, this is really enjoy to watch. I bet Kyo and Ecko still guiding other dokutah if they are in this tournament 😂
Tournament of power arknights pre amnesia and post dokutah RUclipsrs 😊
This is wholesome
I'd really love if they bring back that multiplayer Defence Protocol mode back into the game. Even though latency was a real issue, when it worked I really enjoyed seeing other Dokutahs strategize (even if they let enemies overwhelm me on the lower floor). While not necessarily competitive it was a real nice change since I'd try and do my best and better than the other Dokutah.
13:27 It's not as if Mlynar has enough damage to solo Patriot without mines or anything and his Skill certainly doesn't come up in time to also solo his second phase
Yea, I’m so confused to why vifer is unaware of mlynar’s strength, he’s literally the second best operator in the game after Texas alter.
I LOVE THIS
Incredibly entertaining lmao
I love these PVP videoes
more of that please! Its so cool!
kinda wanna see some arknights ytubers like Kyo or Ecko casting frfr
Kyo as analyst caster would be great
I wanna see Ekogen vs. Kyosin. A match for the ages
I never even considered Arknigyts E-sport to be a possible concept, and now, I want it.
actually some kin of point system from CC would be good here to encourage diffrent, low stars op's and different rosters
Shoutout to Meltup for choosing WD-EX-8
Just in case you will hold this competition again, I suggest you to add SN-10 in the map roster, it's gonna be fun
Entertaining asf ngl
This is epic
I need more content like this😂
Man love this a lot ! Do we have this for new players as well ? (As if an year old only ?) Would love to participate.
would be interesting if there were more restrictions on team building
like 'no more than two 6★'
or maybe even giving the players a predetermined set of operators to pick from, instead of allowing them to choose whatever isn't banned
hahaha this is fire 🔥🔥🔥
I'm not even surprised if yostar really added this gamemode
I hope this becomes a regular thing.
This is fun
0:19 "started a few days earlier" *chuckle*, yeah, a few days and 2 years probably
I think our community just found a way to get our own gym battle and esport
Very interesting
Nice format,
Would prefer the UI to focus more on the player's screen
Current UI is too crowded for my liking
Can definitely reduce the name and score UI and make it an overlay within the gameplay
but still great format
this is a very entertaining gimmick for AK but obviously there's always room for improvement like limiting players on how many units they can bring on a map and they are like only allowed to bring 1-2 6*/1 5*/ etc. etc.
