youre right, but something is better than nothing. artists work is all subjective for them and the listeners a good portion of the time anyways
I agree. There are many deeper aspects of all the titles let alone lyrics, it's a little confusing they have not went further into detail. Interestingly enough they may have been writing very subconsciously and actually been covering such deep subjects such as Hyper reality and double slit experiments.
The more I listen to you guys, the more I am just blown away at how well-written the lyrics are. It makes the music that much more impactful.
You guys and Tool are the only ones who can get me thinking deeply and headbanging simultaneously.

The fact that Monolith has that explanation is ominous to me since it's my favorite song from the album WHEN I'M DRIVING lmao it flows with the road so well.... I'ma be careful with that one lol
Damn if I don't find the explanation for Expiate as the most relatable thing I've ever heard from a band. His exact scenario I'm going through the after effects of still. I've been vibing Expiate HEAVILY and to now hear his explanation as something so on point with my life just gave me the craziest feeling of relief in a bittersweet way.

I think this album is beautiful and gold. I’m in love and it’s by far overtaking the love I have for other current albums. I listen to it every day on my way to work.

The way the cleans come in on that first verse of Unify gives me the chills every time. I really dig the laid back solo that slips away at the end too. Every song on Neon rips but that gets my vote. I’m probably the only one lol

Seems like the theme is "breaking past/moving past things" in many forms. Moving past a relationship, moving past the Earth into death, etc. Breach is indeed perfect as an intro lyrically because of that.

When I saw them in Bris in October, Jesse and Sean told me they'd be back really soon in support of this new album, so I don't think we'll have to wait too long, probably just until they've done the US and maybe Europe
You guys together make some amazing things. Drift was the first album I heard and I still crank it. Now that Neon has arrived I love the melodic singing of the guitarist and the lead singer being brutal, Fucking metal.

Having experienced many spiritual things, it has always been taken very seriously everything that you guys say. It's very interesting to hear your individual aspects of these songs when all I heard was something ethereal.

I was honestly shocked by this album cause I've never really been a fan I just stumbled across but I can't stop jamming this album and it's probably my favourite of the year so far

This album is tight! Some points, especially in the heavy vocals, remind me of Misery Signals. Cool stuff. My favorite is actually "Hyperreality" because it gives me a 90's hard rock vibe while still being very 2018-19.

I like that these songs are all so sincere and meaningful and the band are willing to talk about it. I can think of a couple of other prog/metalcore bands who people invest so much meaning in but who have even said as much as "your first mistake was to take us seriously".
Ghost of nothing is my favorite. Still though.... nothing compared to augment
@Filip Nikolic I get that, I'm all for erra to try new things. Neon is an amazing album its sooo good. Just IMO augment is on a completely different level. I agree neon is a huge improvement from drift.

Erra is one of the best bands out there right now. I feel they finally have a lineup they will keep for a long long time. No more changing the frontman every album. JT’s presence and screaming is just a perfect fit for this band.
