I’d actually be interested in seeing this kind of thing mentioned in a game or on a show. I mean, what if they all DID eat according to realistic diets? Imagine the whole episode centered around Tails wanting to keep a natural love of meat secret from his friends- especially Cream- and forcing himself to be a complete herbivore for them. Or Knuckles having a taste for ants and not wanting the others to think he’s disgusting? Or both.
Well Sonic does like Chili Dogs and is an omnivore. And those things are made from mainly Picky (the small pig animals). So I don't think it's that weird or at least not unheard of.

Dude, ‘Sonic X’ is the show that led me to Sonic in the first place, I first watched it on 4-Kids Entertainment in June 2006. The two episodes I first watched that started it all were ‘Episode 9: The Last Resort’ and ‘Episode 10: Unfair Ball. Everything about the show was basically awesome! Each of the voice actors: Jason Griffith, Amy Palant, Lisa Ortiz, Dan Green and all the others, they were my childhood, they are the sonic characters to me. The fact that it was about the Sonic Characters coming into the real world and this boy (Chris Thorndyke) finding them is what made it so fun to watch, I never understood why Chris Thorndyke as a character gets so much hate, I mean...that’s me basically as a character in the show. The way he fully cares about sonic leaving the real world near the end of the series and closes the portal right before Sonic was about to walk in, it really resembles this friendship thing that I would do if Sonic or any of my childhood hero’s was able to come into the real world.. ;)

Dude, ‘Sonic X’ is the show that led me to Sonic in the first place, I first watched it on 4-Kids Entertainment in June 2006. The two episodes I first watched that started it all were ‘Episode 9: The Last Resort’ and ‘Episode 10: Unfair Ball. Everything about the show was basically awesome! Each of the voice actors: Jason Griffith, Amy Palant, Lisa Ortiz, Dan Green and all the others, they were my childhood, they are the sonic characters to me. The fact that it was about the Sonic Characters coming into the real world and this boy (Chris Thorndyke) finding them is what made it so fun to watch, I never understood why Chris Thorndyke as a character gets so much hate, I mean...that’s me basically as a character in the show. The way he fully cares about sonic leaving the real world near the end of the series and closes the portal right before Sonic was about to walk in, it really resembles this friendship thing that I would do if Sonic or any of my childhood hero’s was able to come into the real world.. ;)
