These are really fun and rewarding! Adding the “blues band” to my set tonight as a intermission song while looking for other covers to play in my iPad! Thank you
the bluesy seventh is so cool sounding, im obsessed with playing it!!! thank you so much for your videos, theyre a huge help when i dont have any idea on what to play on my guitar:)
Such beautiful riffs and beautiful melodies. I especially like the octaves rig…such a beautiful melody out of such a simple concept…I could play it for hours and not get tired of it. Great lesson!!! Jeff P.
Thank you so much! I have played similar riffs, but I always get an additional idea as to how to expand the riff I play with your beautiful embellishments.
I've helped a few people select guitars at guitar stores, although I am pretty basic myself. So, I'm always a little self-conscious trying out guitars in a store, using boring common riffs, with people around. Now, these riffs are definitely something I can employ in future, and sound like a pro 😃
Thank you Marco, you've condensed (what appears to be ) years of knowledge into short, fun and soulful riffs while maintaining elements from diverse styles. Its videos like these that make RUclips worthwhile :)
I, 3 and 5 are my favorites with 5 being the one I want to master the most. Personally. I just don't find Blues pleasing to the ear(my ears) and while I know working on those riffs would make me a better player technically, my heart would not be in it. Excellent lesson, I have a solid month of work ahead. Thank you Marco.
hi, your lessons are so beautiful and awesome , i can be finally a patreon of you again , im so glad n happy abiut your great courses ther - love your channel , you a delight , my favorite teacher here =) , thanks
Great lesson Marco, as a fellow (now retired) full time teacher of 40 years experience, I always made my pupils learn the names of the notes as they learnt something new! How about it?
Thanks, Marco! Those seem like good practice riffs that I could easily sit around and warm up with. They sound good! I don't know which one I like best, maybe the first and last ones. Take care of yourself! 👍👌
Nice info by you indeed, I'm bit of confused with Riff count, do I need to count two bars or two times this repeat pattern???? What's exact count of riff???? Do let me know plz
This is funny because this is exactly what im working now. Im also using the scales starting with one note and my next chord note and next chord playing forward on the root proceeding to the next chord amd mimicking the pattern
Been practicing all 5 of these for the past few days and I have a couple of questions. Do you have to tune your guitar for any of these rifts?; and is it better or easier to play these rifts on a cutaway style guitar? Also, the directions for “The Spanish Bell” were too fast for me to process. I know you have to mix open and fretted notes, but after that I couldn’t follow along because it went too fast 😞
Wow! Each riff stands alone as unique. Each one worth mastering and putting into your exercise wheel house. Always appreciate the time you put into creating them. Also would love for you to create Tab for the recent Stairway to Heaven rendition you did. Thank you Marco!
I’m a very new player, for the first rift my middle finger on my left hand ends up touching the E string and covering the sound of the two plucks after the slide. Is there a technique for this or are my fingertips too fat. Or will it come with practice?
You mean that thing blues players have been doing since the beginning that helps give a steady rhythm while also adding dynamics to a solo performers song and is typically fairly tough to master? That percussive technique? Im gonna guess you can’t actually do it so decided its easier to cast shade then practice and learn the technique. Im sure you are a well rounded player if you actually play.
0:30 The Mysterious Slide
2:41 The Blues Band
4:50 The Spanish Bell
6:51 The Bluesy Seventh
8:24 The Mysterious Octave
You're welcome.😊❤ Enjoy.🎸🤘
Let me correct you a little
8:24 *DOOM* music

i first saw the mysterious slide on your ukulele channel and thought it would sound amazing on electric guitar and then i saw this...
1 and 5 are my favorites. Nice!

Bite size pieces .. amazing ideas that can benefit beginners to practice and advance players can incorporate these into their repertoire.
From Brazil 🇧🇷 🇧🇷 🇧🇷, great lesson, master😊😊😊
first and last riffs are my faves.. so simple, but doesn't seem it.
I love the 2nd bluesy riff...not easy to strike bass percussive note n strum or pick at the same time...awesome technique😂
Beautiful riffs, Marco.
Hot Licks!
Thank you very much for simplifying such seemingly high complexity beautiful guitar work. I'm definitely Subscribing.
I like the one that I slid back. I tried on my electric and sound really nice! Thank you
I'll be adding all of these riffs to my repertory. Thanks, Marco!!!
I have played guitar for 15 years, but I have never played a lick or a riff, or done any sort of soloing. Never played anything above 4th fret.
So easy to learn from your instructions. Two Thumbs 'Way Up'.
Thanks.
Each one of these riffs deserves their own vid.

One of you finest, Marco! Bravo!! Great ideas we can certainly get expansive on!! Jim C.
Riff 5 Thank you Marco
Love it! Thank you Marco. Now how about applying each of these great riffs into a short tune?
Great lesson Marco, as a fellow (now retired) full time teacher of 40 years experience, I always made my pupils learn the names of the notes as they learnt something new! How about it?
these rifs are very beautiful, excellent technique
Amazing riffs, i love the octaves
RUclips gold! Cannot thank you enough for your lessons

Nice bro
And please add also the tabs better to easy learn every one ❤
Mysterious slide will go well with Lewis and Clark song :)

Buy a new guitar
Quanta roba in solo 10 minuti 🤒🤒 💚
best guitar tutorial :)
Can any tell me which guitar is this?
thank you👍
Just subbed - great work :)
what´s the guitar brand?
I literally just bought a new guitar, what must I do??? I know nothing but would want to learn eagerly
What that first technique that you used???😮😮😅
I'm your Big fan 🔥,, respect !
Interesting that you would use a guitar with no neck markings (dots) for a lesson.
Did you try using glasses 😂
Beautiful all like it.. 😊
❤️
This makes me want to go buy a guitar! 👍
Bravo!
dang, how many guitars do you have in total?
Guess I know what I’m doing for the next couple of hours.
Ur not alone 😭😂
I'm doing the same thing
my favorite riffs are 😅
Slow Dancing
smoke on in the water
stairway to heaven
Bruhh how do u mute all the strings
Awesome!
8:26
the second one is where i take my exit
Has anyone else besides me heard the doom vibes in the last riff?
I'm struggling. My fingers are nimble enough, my brain, not so much.
Slow enough that a new player can follow and move along !
Team up with Paul Davids please...❤❤❤❤
5
Awesome
Let's go 100th comment🎉🎉

"The awesome percussive technique ..." that most people actually hate
You're claim is based on what?
@@mksnzIt’s true lol
@@mksnzit’s just become pretty cliche 😅 it’s more in terms of NEO Soul bros not acoustic finger style that i hear people talking bad about
