Had the privilege of visiting NY City from the UK last year. These views are amazing and a reminder of the wonderful places we visited e.g. Central Park, Downtown Manhattan etc. Thanks for sharing this footage ☺

0:07 I love those takeoffs from Runway number 13 I'm a fairly clear day as this you really get to see the layout of New York City. You pretty much see so much of the boroughs of New York City and the bodies of water that surround each borough. East River the Harlem River the Hudson River and ultimately the Atlantic Ocean off in the distance you stopped just short of getting the verrazano-narrows bridge included as well as the borough of Staten Island. But you did get such a great view of the rest of the city

Wonderful. I have travelled to many parts of the world and the Manhattan skyline is still the most beautiful and stunning sight I have experienced.

I recently flew in and out of LaGuardia for the first time. I absolutely love it. It was my first time in New York City. I have already made plans for another NYC trip.
I love when I'm seated on the left side of the plane when runway 31 is being used as the departure runway!

You're sort of correct. It is Runway 13 as you take off over the convergence of Queens, Manhattan, and the Bronx. Taking off on 31 is simply moving in the opposite direction. ON 31 you are ON THE SAME runway. You simply take off in the opposite direction ,/over Flushing Bay And over Citibank Field where the Mets play.. The intersecting Runway is Runway 4 (SW) and 22.(NE) AS YOU LAND ON RUNWAY 4 YOU FLY OVER NOTHING BUT LAND FOR THE LAST SEVERAL MINUTES OF FLIGHT. --BEFORE TOUCHDOWN./ That same Runway if you are taking off will be called Runway 22 / as YOU rises above the Long Island Sound. And Westchester county (NE).
@@Widda68 but this flight took off on runway 31 - heading 310 degrees, not runway 13 - heading 130 degrees.

Nice views of Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens, Brooklyn Bridge, Manhattan Bridge, MSG, Central Park, the Empire State Building, Chrysler Building, and last but certainly not least JFK!!!!(and i think I saw Ellis Island also??)

When you take off from NYC it looks like that NYC is actually somewhere close to water.
