The are. It’s clear it’s there. There was this whole thing going on because of the whole Korea/China background. But they are now all considered a 21member team. So yes WayV is a NCT unit.
I was really waiting for your reaction. On my first listen, I knew 10 seconds in that this was going to be a masterpiece. Nice to know about the lyrics too. Thanks, Kevin
four years later and moonwalk is still the most loved title track of fans by wayv. thoroughly enjoyed watching your reactions because of how interested you actually are with the musicality of the songs itself! plus we get to learn more about music, and now even a bit of chinese, from you guys 🖤
WayV is official, SM board of directors member said WayV is an NCT subunit for the Chinese market and NCT officially has 21 members including WayV. Several members of WayV are also members of the NCT subunit NCT U and were part of NCT 2018 :)
I can’t figure out if WinWin is still a member of NCT 127 subunit though I hope he is! If Ten, Lucas, and Taeyong can fit in SuperM then I imagine he can fit 127 as well, but even if not at least he’s finally getting lines!!
It is so funny looking back at this reaction. We were not even sure whether WAYV was part of NCT or not(I knew it was but there was so much contestation that it could confuse anyone). Now look at us riding the WayV tide.
Ahhhh I love how I formative you guys are with your reviews. I appreciate the dissection of this song. I already love it but now I can understand and relate this back to WayV's first EP and see the vibes they are going for
On the topic of whether WayV is a unit of NCT or not: it's complicated. Most solo WayV stans see them as a separate group, mainly because they don't want to associate themselves with both NCTzens and SM (since SM is notorious for treating their chinese artists badly). Most NCT fans see WayV as part of NCT, because Kun, Lucas, Winwin and Ten are NCT members and Yangyang, Xiaojun and Hendery were introduced very similarly to how other new NCT members were introduced. Also because a chinese NCT unit had been teased so long it made sense that when WayV debuted they would be part of NCT. The thing that makes it more confusing is that the company has both unofficially confirmed that WayV is part of NCT, while also unofficially keeping them away from NCT (presumably because of tense relations with China). So the answer to the question of whether WayV is part of NCT is: it depends on who you ask...
An SM representative has confirmed WayV to be a sub unit of NCT in a press conference a while ago. SM also plans on WayV to be “the next big thing” for them, at least according to what was said/shown in that press conference where they had a graph of each year and from 2019 forward it said WayV!
There was a press conference talking about nct and it was a official prees conference hold by SM and there the representative of S M said that Wayv is the chinese subunit of NCT
Wayv is one of the NCT subunits, idk why people keep saying SM never said this when there have been statements before that they are part of NCT in multiple presentations. Their treatment in SM is lackluster but its getting better finally thankfully.
Ivory Black As a chinese speaker, I would say that the lyrics are very grand and fancy. It's about how they as god create the new world(the new utopia as always mentioned in NCT concepts.) There are lyrics like the cilvilization finally settled on the 7th day and when people are praising the myth, I decided to bend myself and take the first moonwalk in the newly built world. It sounds very god like and even condescending to me. And I believe that's the main concept this time. They've ended an era and opened a new world. Actually most WayV lyrics are quite complicated. It's the same with takeoff. Chinese fans always joke about how we understand nothing but English during the first listen and when we look at the lyrics, the members actually have perfect pronounciations and sing it clearly. It's just the lyrics in it are so fancy and out of daily context, you don't form a sentence like that very often.
So far this is my favorite reaction of WayV - Moonwalk at first i didn't quite understand what the song about, And with kevin explanation about the lyrics it made the song more "WOW" in my mind. I'm curious how the others think about this song. I hope they can react to this song.
This is my favorite reaction because you guys not only discuss about the music or the visual, but also the lyrics. I'm not a Chinese speaker, but I read the Eng translation and I was blown away, so I'm glad a Chinese speaker is also impressed. Please react to the whole mini album! It's sooo worth it. 🙏
WayV is a fourth sub-unit of nct and their record label is Label V under SM entertainment with their first mini album Regular chinese version and their 2nd album Take Off SuperM is a super group formed by Lee Soo Man in 2019 with their first album and song Jopping WayV members: Qian Kun (his last name is Qian and it's pronunciation is Chian) Lee Ten (his real name is Chittaphon Leechaiyapornkul) Dong Winwin (Dong Si Cheng) Wong Lucas (Wong Yukhei, Huang Xuxi) Xiao Jun (Xiao De Jun) Han Hendery (Han Guanheng) Liu YangYang SuperM members: Byun Baekhyun (Leader, Main Vocalist) Lee Taemin (Lead Vocalist, Dancer) Kim Kai (Jongin), (Vocalist, Rapper, Dancer) Lee Taeyong (Rapper, Dancer) Lee Ten (Rapper, Vocalist, Dancer) Wong Lucas (Rapper) Lee Mark (Minhyuk), (Rapper) Note: SuperM is not a sub-unit of nct and it's not been said by Soo Man
this is my favorite wayv's reaction, more because you have kevin who understands chinese and reacted to the lyrics as well! wayv just came back with their first full album, i hope kevin would be back to react to it. 9 songs in the album are all great and i know you'd like them! i recommend domino, after midnight, and electric hearts for bside tracks :)
WayV is a unit in nct, they always where. They couldn't really be seen with the Korean parts of the groups cause of the tensions between Korea and China, but they are part of nct. Now its basically official cause they ARE INCLUDED in the nct 2020 project. AND LITERALLY WAYV DEBUTED WITH A WHOLE ASS CHINESE VERSION OF REGULAR, THAT'S AN NCT SONG.
Yes, they are a sub unit from NCT, even tho they have a totally different name and their label is also chinese they are NCT member so, you're right about that hahah. Currently there are 21 members in nct including them.
WayV is their own group and 4 members out of 7 are from nct system. I REALLY LOVE YOUR REACTION. This is the first time I heard people talking about lyrics and music in detail in reaction vids. This is my most favorite wayv reaction so far.
I think most NCT's title track talk about dream or reality instead of romance or human relationship. By the way, WayV also put the chinese title and english title together in one sentence in Take Off, so I guess that will be their thing.
when first i listen to this song, i automatically think that you guys should make a reaction to this, because the music is sooo rich! thanks guys for making this!
Yasssss finally WayV 😭 Thank you so much. I recommend Love Talk tho. They just drop the song's MV today, but it's english version. Please check it out🙏🏼
WayV are an NCT sub-unit but they're under a Chinese sub-label of SM for sake of avoiding political tensions interfering with their promotions. But SM official spokespeople have referred to them as NCT's Chinese sub-unit!
I don't know why someone would say they aren't an NCT subunit, they clearly are Nice to see someone appreciate the Chinese lyrics. Please bring him for more WayV songs
I think they used what some may call God/Space chords that's why it sounds so much like a film score even though the ET motif was hidden. I even saw some comments saying the song makes you feel like you're in space or like some science documentary. Because that's what the chords that they picked make you feel. It sounds so divine that it suits the title and the group name.
trixia mae Not wrong. They almost have the same music style as NCT 127 ”Regular” ”Take Off” ”Turn Back Time” Because of promotion in China they had to adapt to the local market and remove official references to Korea. Unofficially, people know that they are from Korea.
WayV is now an official subunit of NCT. It is the Chinese unit of NCT. The director of NCT already confirmed it and their new music video Love Talk is posted in SMTOWN's RUclips channel (let's str34m moonwalk and love talk y'all btw)
To me, WayV is a subunit of NCT. Their fans are named really similar, their lightsticks are soo similar too, their official color is the same, their members are almost always together, etc. SM is still trying to manage well their activities in China and that's why they haven't be introduced as an NCT subunit yet. But lately NCT and WayV have interacted a lot and WayV is also speaking korean and promoting in Korea so, I think things are improving and soon we'll see NCT as a 21 members group💚
This 2020 WayV will be officially members of NCT and will have a comeback with NCT (there are rumors that NCT will have a new sub-unit which is called NCT Q)
Yes! Thank you for this reaction! When Wayv did Take Off, I was wondering what direction Wayv were going to go to next. But I actually love Moonwalk more, surprisingly... even though Take Off is usually more my style. This feels a little more complex? And it's refreshing.

Yes. This. We'll wait till the mv is out tho
@@getyourshitstraight8115 i love ur name
ila YASSSS IT'S SO GOOD!
YES!!! WAYV OH MY GOD THE KINGS GETTING THE ACKNOWLEDGMENT THEY DESERVE
Kevin is literally a genius. I can't imagine studying music and engineering at the same time
And even tho living in the US, he's still is fluent in mandarin. Y'all it is really a language that is so complicated and hard to learn.
This song might be my favorite song of the year??? It's SO GOOD. Thank you for reacting to it! I'm glad you also loved it!!
wayv is an nct sub-unit. it was said they were in the sm presentation and the nct members even mention wayv a lot so it’s pretty much certain they are
WayV is official, SM board of directors member said WayV is an NCT subunit for the Chinese market and NCT officially has 21 members including WayV.
"wow i can understand lyrics for the first time"
same, kevin, same
You should all react to the whole 'Take Over the Moon' EP it's SOOO GOOD uwu
OMG! I expected this reaction! You are my favorite and WayV is my favorite. I appreciate you taking the time to watch the WayV video. Thank you
I love how everything in this music video is interesting. The song is interesting. The video is interesting. Even the lyrics is interesting.
It is so funny looking back at this reaction. We were not even sure whether WAYV was part of NCT or not(I knew it was but there was so much contestation that it could confuse anyone). Now look at us riding the WayV tide.
I peeped that Seventeen Moonwalker bit in ur intro 🤩
Guys, I've watched so many reactions on this MV already. But you are surprised me with such an interesting information about meaning of the song😊
Guys...Xiaojun is literally wearing a jean vest with “NEOBOY” on the back of it. NEO CULTURE TECHNOLOGY, baby!
Ahhhh I love how I formative you guys are with your reviews. I appreciate the dissection of this song. I already love it but now I can understand and relate this back to WayV's first EP and see the vibes they are going for
That effin’ feeling when you catch a really beautiful, familiar melody but no matter how hard you try, you can’t find its origin. Arghhhhhhhhhh
i'm pretty sure wayv is part of nct despite the debates that they're separate :)
Their treatment in SM is lackluster but its getting better finally thankfully.
wayv deserves more recognition TT
1:45 ; it’s complicated
Tomorrow WayV on The Show vote for them in the live broadcast get them a win!
STAR PLAY is the app
the best reaction of moonwalk and very informative 👏
Kevin understanding the lyrics and marveling at how dense the lyrics are is a big ass mood for all intl Chinese fans
I was curious what the translations for Moonwalk means for Chinese speaker. Cause as non-native speaker, the translations from fans are pretty good.
@@clementinec8961 wow incredible. I wish i understand chinese and korean
So far this is my favorite reaction of WayV - Moonwalk
at first i didn't quite understand what the song about, And with kevin explanation about the lyrics it made the song more "WOW" in my mind.
I'm curious how the others think about this song. I hope they can react to this song.
WayV is releasing another music video for 'love talk' today. Hope you going to react to it. 💖
when I first heard the song, the Intro hits me too like it's too familiar ,like reminds me of OST from a Kdrama "Hotel De Luna "
My god, I just completely fell in love with Umu. They way she enjoys this video is the best thing I've seen today haha. Get it girl!
Yes, WayV is an NCT subunit! They are the most recent unit based out of China :)
10:17 WINWIN HAS LINES, we stan an intellectual💚🥺
I’m happy that you two enjoyed this one! Thank you! WayV and their music deserves more appreciation 🥺
WAS SO HYPED FOR YOUR REACTION, very glad you liked it!!
Wow!!! Thank you for reacting to Moonwalk!!!! Now I understand Moonwalk from another angle and I love it more.
WayV is a fourth sub-unit of nct and their record label is Label V under SM entertainment with their first mini album Regular chinese version and their 2nd album Take Off
SuperM is a super group formed by Lee Soo Man in 2019 with their first album and song Jopping
WayV members:
Qian Kun (his last name is Qian and it's pronunciation is Chian)
Lee Ten (his real name is Chittaphon Leechaiyapornkul)
Dong Winwin (Dong Si Cheng)
Wong Lucas (Wong Yukhei, Huang Xuxi)
Xiao Jun (Xiao De Jun)
Han Hendery (Han Guanheng)
Liu YangYang
SuperM members:
Byun Baekhyun (Leader, Main Vocalist)
Lee Taemin (Lead Vocalist, Dancer)
Kim Kai (Jongin), (Vocalist, Rapper, Dancer)
Lee Taeyong (Rapper, Dancer)
Lee Ten (Rapper, Vocalist, Dancer)
Wong Lucas (Rapper)
Lee Mark (Minhyuk), (Rapper)
Note: SuperM is not a sub-unit of nct and it's not been said by Soo Man
this is my favorite wayv's reaction, more because you have kevin who understands chinese and reacted to the lyrics as well! wayv just came back with their first full album, i hope kevin would be back to react to it. 9 songs in the album are all great and i know you'd like them! i recommend domino, after midnight, and electric hearts for bside tracks :)
I see tiny hongjoong.
BUT YES MOONWALK ZAPPED ME INTO WAYV so thank you for reacting to this :>
I swear, Umu's cute little facial expressions at 3:12 and 5:27 give me such life 🤣🤣🤣
WayV is a unit in nct, they always where.
Currently there are 21 members in nct including them.
now i can proudly say that wayv is nct after project nct 2020 😎✨
YAAAS!!!😭😭
WayV is their own group and 4 members out of 7 are from nct system. I REALLY LOVE YOUR REACTION. This is the first time I heard people talking about lyrics and music in detail in reaction vids. This is my most favorite wayv reaction so far.
I think most NCT's title track talk about dream or reality instead of romance or human relationship. By the way, WayV also put the chinese title and english title together in one sentence in Take Off, so I guess that will be their thing.
omg can we have Kevin translate the lyrics? all i've seen are literal translations that don't make much sense
check the top comments here, someone put in some serious effort and posted it
when first i listen to this song, i automatically think that you guys should make a reaction to this, because the music is sooo rich! thanks guys for making this!
omfg i wasn't sure if you guys would be reacting to wayv thank you so much!!!!!!!!!
Yasssss finally WayV 😭 Thank you so much. I recommend Love Talk tho. They just drop the song's MV today, but it's english version. Please check it out🙏🏼
Kevin: Wow I can understand lyrics for the first time.
Me: can’t relate.
WayV are an NCT sub-unit but they're under a Chinese sub-label of SM for sake of avoiding political tensions interfering with their promotions. But SM official spokespeople have referred to them as NCT's Chinese sub-unit!
I don't know why someone would say they aren't an NCT subunit, they clearly are
Nice to see someone appreciate the Chinese lyrics. Please bring him for more WayV songs
yES i like how the lyrics actually work too
wayv is so underrated with many great songs and talents
I think they used what some may call God/Space chords that's why it sounds so much like a film score even though the ET motif was hidden. I even saw some comments saying the song makes you feel like you're in space or like some science documentary. Because that's what the chords that they picked make you feel. It sounds so divine that it suits the title and the group name.
Glad you guys liked this!!! One of my favorite releases in a while!!!
Thank you so much for reacting to WayV!!!
My favorite song of this year, and thats hard.
Glad u react 🤗
i like how umu and kevin explain the song. now i know the reason i love Moonwalk.
umu doesn't know the discourse hellhole she's opening by casually asking if wayv is nct
THANKS FOR REACTING TO THIS SONG. THIS SONG IS REALLY AMAZING PLS DON'T SLEEP AT THIS GUYS
Shoutout to umu for telling us that the form of therapy reaction to moonwalk is happening since the video isn't out yet
i’m pretty sure a guy from sm called wayv part of nct in an interview or something once but i’m not sure
He did
But WayV is part of NCT 🤷🏻♀️
Tomorrow WayV on The Show vote for them in the live broadcast get them a win!
wrong
trixia mae Not wrong. They almost have the same music style as NCT 127 ”Regular” ”Take Off” ”Turn Back Time”
Because of promotion in China they had to adapt to the local market and remove official references to Korea. Unofficially, people know that they are from Korea.
@@trixiamae5408 no u
