Qasimi even if exo was there, i think they should be able to give fair time to each group, i mean, if they can do it before (previous mama esp during 2nd gen) they should be able to do that now also. But since not many big groups didnt attend mama, thats why bts got long performance time (plus they are wildly popular locally and oversea so i see why mama n others do that). Personally, i think since sm n yg (where most big groups come from) and several other groups didnt attend mama and also the year end awards, this can be an opportunity for others to be invited. i honestly dont understand why they didn't invite other groups to fill the hole. They are under LabelV. 2) WayV can't be officially linked to Korea/SM/NCT because of political tensions 3) SM mainly target korean audience (and international Kpop fans )......so SM will promote their group that target the korean audience and Kpop fans. But I do think LABELV can do much more for them if they wanted. WayV should do more chinese shows or Cdramas to incresase their chinese fandoms.

My two cents on WayV at MAMA 2019: 1. They TRULY deserve the Best New Asian Artist Award. Kudos to WayV! 2. They slayed this performance like it's their own concert. I'm proud of where they are now and how they are continuously growing and improving. These men deserve all the love and admiration.

WayV's choreo is so clean, they're synchronized and you can clearly see their moves is on point. Idk if it makes sense but their choreo is reaaaally clean. Like, they're balanced & not on messed up positions.
They were one of the most amazing performers they didn’t need any backup dancers nor a crazy stage cuz their stage presence is crazy and after everything they have been through I feel they deserve to be there and deserve to be recognized
newer groups always have less fancy stuff. bts on their first ceremony performed in the red carpet because the showrunners would not give them main stage time

Chinese Idols really hit different, especially when they sing on their own language. WayV looked like royalty and they just felt different from everyone else
I was shocked by how talented Chinese artists are 😲 I never knew the Chinese were such great entertainers. (not being racist just didn’t think the Chinese were big on performing arts as I’m from Hong Kong and singing dancing etc is not big here & I’ve barely seen any good dancers here) when I finally watched idol producer, I was pleasantly surprised to see so much talent and good music that could top kpop and somehow felt less manufactured. I used to not find Chinese songs that appealing but damnn these pop songs are just as satisfying as k-pop and the idols are just as funny, entertaining & somehow they felt more good natured to me 💕 I guess k-pop is more original but C-pop artists are just as talented or even more. Not into C-pop but I think there is a lot of potential
Finally an SM boy band that I look forward to after OT5 DBSK. Wayv are so underrated and talented. They may perform the same song as the Korean team but their stage presence and singing I must say it's way better. Please promote them well SM.
Strongly agree. I also think when watching WayV performances, this group somehow reminds me with DBSK (5 members) so much in term of performance that they are all balanced and all members have strong stage presences.

it's amazing how Xiaojun, YangYang and Hendery did it so well, I mean, Lucas, Ten and Winwin have been doing this for more time then the others but they did it so well that you can't say who has less experience on stage. yangyang was a street dance performer before SM but yeah they are outstanding especially Xiaojun for me. he does every aspect perfectly and professionally. It isn't his goal to stand out, but damn he really stands out. Yangyang too.
People criticizing Wayv because they were the only Chinese group present at MAMA, well just accept the fact that they performed even better than some of the Korean groups. SM for once made a good decision making this group full of Chinese people so we can enjoy listening to their amazing works.

Agree. I've never been into a group since Girls Generation era and also when EXO debuted back in 2012 (but kinda lost the fangirl momentum 2016 onwards). And WayV actually reignited my inner fangirl.

I was shocked by how talented Chinese artists are 😲 I never knew the Chinese were such great entertainers. (not being racist just didn’t think the Chinese were big on performing arts as I’m from Hong Kong and singing dancing etc is not big here & I’ve barely seen any good dancers here) when I finally watched idol producer, I was pleasantly surprised to see so much talent and good music that could top kpop and somehow felt less manufactured. I used to not find Chinese songs that appealing but damnn these pop songs are just as satisfying as k-pop and the idols are just as funny, entertaining & somehow they felt more good natured to me 💕 I guess k-pop is more original but C-pop artists are just as talented or even more. Not into C-pop but I think there is a lot of potential
