nice fat ferro rod . i think i would trade the waxed dowels for some natural fatwood of the same size and maybe a fixed loop on the side of the pouch for the waterproof aluminum container but otherwise , solid looking kit .
i do like the waxed jute and i made my own home made pocket bellows . they work great .
    great review .

I bought the Spitfire Fire kit for my 9 year old son for Christmas on the strength of this review and we used it at the weekend. He struggled with the scraper which we found wasn't very sharp but the rest is great and he managed to get a fire going after a bit of practice. I will replace the striker / scraper but the rest is excellent value and really well specced.

Thats great :) hope you get plenty of use from it, nice compact bit of kit. If I remember right, I think 1 side of the scraper was better than the other.. think I used it at a slight angle :/ mine in my truck pack at the mo as its a nice compact complete solution. Thanks for watching.. its good to hear how others get on ATB - Andy

Yea that seems like a handy kit for sure, you could make it yourself I suppose, maybe smaller and use a small tin... I wish I had access to more stuff like this. Nice vid, well done! :)

Hey, this came with an aluminium capsule, I might transfer some of the tinder to it as a more portable version. Thanks for watching :)
