Another thing I love about these videos is that, alot of the bands Richard picks i have not heard before , love finding new music. thanks and man those t shirts are crazy cool
Speaking as a Brit, I think that we use 'swear words' more in everyday language. They have become more intertwined in the normal fabric of society. Even the C word is dropped on TV, as long as it is after 9pm.
Woah... You've reached Architects... I'm excited! Check out their A New Moral Low Ground. It goes deeper into altrock/altmetal and it has a solo that... well, i haven't heard anything like that. But their earlier works are different: full of anger and desperation and more chaotic as Richard said. I'd like you to hear C.A.N.C.E.R, Broken Cross or Gone With the Wind.
I always enjoy every video.. I think you two have an unique chemistry to discuss metal. This is a unique channel as to the approach of the two backgrounds. MY HOPE FOR JUDSON to listen to at some point is more Vildhjarta. I think he’ll dig “kristallfågel.” One of their newest singles. Has a beautiful, clean middle section.
Fun video, I'm excited to see Judson get intro-ducted into a bit of DIllinger :) Meshuggah, Sepultura, Death, Car Bomb are filthy bands worth mention that touch that mind-bending cornerstone, as much as it is consistent notes, screaming, and juxt of position to the ear lol. (still top recommendations). We are all filthy animals, but gd those bands are filthy. If filth is what you look for - also very introspective narrratives come to mind. Bands like Tool that have been featured have found a way to cultivate that sorta weaving of artistry with lyric content within the music = interesting effect (personally love that aspect, growing their own garden of eden per say within the music). I think would be fun to see on yer's channel. Really enjoyed the video and fleshed out conversation! is this my compliment sandwich? yes! plz listen to Meshuggah again and let heads a spin
Gojira - Oroborus might be a fun listening experience, I think one of you is going to enjoy the lyrics and the other one is going to mimic the drum parts on the sideline ;)
judson my son....some deep dark memories and feelings from working the streets, oops sorry running the streets. lol. but we are animals, were evolved primates with a common ancestor that has hair all over and extremities that could climb. over time we stood up right, infected with alopecia and lost our feet that could grip branches. judsons' classical trained mind.
I understand the closed minded write off feeling. I was the same with a lot of bands over the years. I saw Architects live at Download Festival a few years ago and they were excellent. Same deal with Bring Me the Horizon that headlined right after. Until that point, I had always just ignored their music and have since become a fan.
Hey ! A little message to say that I really like your videos it's fun to watch. It would be Nice if you two react to a song made by the french neoclassical metal band called "Adagio" : songs "next profundis" or "in nomine" are good one.
I would’ve mistaken this for a Bring Me The Horizon song if I had guessed. I’m into it! I don’t mind the f bomb had it only been in a better line than “we’re just a bunch of animals.” I personally resent the implication that 21st century humans can be reduced to our animalistic functions.
I disagree. The effing animals makes it sound like being an animal is the worst possible thing you could be. I think it works here. It could also work as a double message like we're just animals that f a lot
Hello, If you don’t mind, can you react to a music video? Wham! - Where did your heart go? George Michael was part of the group, Wham. Link: ruclips.net/video/KM_rQf2Llf4/видео.html It’s a beautiful song showcasing George’s powerful voice and his vocals. You’ll definitely enjoy doing an analysis of George Michael’s voice. Thank you, Chris.
I think "filthy animal" has also lost some meaning. It's a bit generic now, but maybe that's just me. I'm not saying that the expletive was inherently better, but "filthy" doesn't really cut it either. Day 32 of requesting Diablo Swing Orchestra.
That's the mindset of someone that listen to architects since 2006 or something like that, on the other hand, going from soft to heavy on someone that doesn't listen to metal in general is always the best
The piano intros are so awesome!
Thank you for the kind words! ~j
The orchestral version of this song is INCREDIBLE by the way!
The orchestral live version is awesome for this track
12:00 It is "The bad touch" by Bloodhound Gang. However, it would funny to hear the Blue Man Group covering that song! xD
hope to see "A Match Made In Heaven" some day)
Really happy to see some Architects on here.
Another thing I love about these videos is that, alot of the bands Richard picks i have not heard before , love finding new music. thanks and man those t shirts are crazy cool
Thank you! And thanks for hanging out with us!
Do Gone with the Wind and research the band member history. Song and story makes me weep like a little baby.
this
The best part of this one was hearing that Dillinger motherfuckingfreaking Escape Plan is on the horizon. LETS GO BOIS!

Happy New Year guys. Love from Galway, Ireland. (Patrick)
This is the only reaction channel that I watch even when I know the song beforehand and don't like it.
PS: I want that shirt!

Good to see Architects here, thank you for the video! Please do the «At Least Give Me My Dreams Back...» by Adept (2009)

Thanks for the kinds words and suggestion!
Greetings from Brazil! Please do a ...And Oceans video.
Please do DEP soon, such a good band

It’s bloodhound gang that sings do it like they do on the discovery channel. Lol
Pretty basic song but catchy, yeah. Interested to hear their more unique stuff
Since you guys enjoy Vildhjarta a bunch you guys really need to listen to Mirar! It would properly blow Jevs mind.
Hey, check out Dying Fetus. They bring the groove to death metal.
Did you guys do Aviations, yet?
Try Dillinger escape plan with Mike Patton
Complete chaos lol
Gorgeous, is that a Jean-Michel Basquiat t shirt?
That it is! ~j
Was wondering the same thing! Figured someone might ask - and thanks to Judson for answering! I want that shirt 😊!

Please do “I” by Meshuggah 🥹

y'all need to listen to some Static-X.
Others architects please! Holly hell or all ours gods have abandonned us albums!
I disagree. The effing animals makes it sound like being an animal is the worst possible thing you could be. I think it works here. It could also work as a double message like we're just animals that f a lot
Make him give control denied a try
I love your videos, if you see this comment you could react to Octafonic "Over" a big greeting from Spain!

How about some KANONENFIEBER ? "Waffenbrüder" or "Maulwurf"

Strongly disagree that this should be the first architects song someone hears. Not a bad song but shitty compared to their great ones.
I would argue their newer stuff is much more approachable. I didn't like old Architects until I started listening to new Architects.
That's the mindset of someone that listen to architects since 2006 or something like that, on the other hand, going from soft to heavy on someone that doesn't listen to metal in general is always the best
Do Seeing Red from them, if you haven’t yet…
Post-rock? It’s not a metalcore song, albeit that Architects are responsible some of the great UK metalcore albums, but post-rock it is not.
I don’t like this song at all but you guys are great
