@@clone2k696the snail mucin “all in one cream” isn’t really a moisturizer, just a very thick version of the snail essence. It has some comedogenic fatty alcohols added for thickness that the regular essence doesn’t have, so I gifted it to a non acne prone friend and purchased the regular snail. The “cream” is like.. almost a moisturizer, but not occlusive enough so on its own it dries out too fast, so not worth it imo since you have to layer a real moisturizer on top anyway. LRP Cicaplast baume is definitely a moisturizer ointment, heavy and good for really healing dry or irritated patches. I think any occlusive moisturizer could be used to lock in any snail mucin product, I do it every night with peach slices snail toner and then cetaphil redness relief night moisturizer. I have dry combo skin and rosacea (so obvi this advice may not work for you) but I had that same problem with the pilIing. So I tried putting a different lotion (I use Cera ve) on underneath for hydration and let it dry for a minute before I put on the cica balm and just really worked it into my skin. It’s dry and winter here so I need the extra moisture to avoid pulling. I try to pat it into my skin before rubbing since my skin turns red. Hope that helps but at the end of the day just trust your gut and do what’s best for u and throw it out if you need to lol :)

I had that same problem and I almost gave up on the cicaplast balm, but I eventually learned how to work with it. I need to first put on a thin layer of a more gel-like moisturiser, let it dry, and then apply the cicaplast. But it's all about technique for me. If I just rubbed it in then it'd probably start pilling again. I put on a dot of the cicaplast and gentle spread it across a small section of skin at a time, making sure not to accidentally go over the same section twice. It takes a bit of extra time, but it works for me and I managed to stop the pilling

I’m not sure if you’re familiar with Dr. Dre, a certified dermatologist here on RUclips, but she’s discussed the common myths about shea butter and the biggest one being that it’s “pore clogging”.. Shea Butter doesn’t clog pores and she recommends it (non fragrant) as the last step to “seal” everything in. I hope this helps!
