Great video, picked up many useful tips! Will be stealing your blue-green weathering hehe. Re: your question at the end, I personally found this video sufficiently demonstrated the concepts being discussed. What I *would* love to see is a dedicated tutorial for your computer screens. I appreciate there's some overlap with your OSL video but I'm still struggling to figure out a process to get anywhere close to your screens.
Great video, I have a bunch of terrain just looking for this treatment! Why the different shadow colour at the end, and not your secret sauce? Too much flow improver in your custom mix so it doesn’t filter the surfaces so nicely?
Pretty much. I could have given it a few passes with he sauce, but that would have taken a little longer. Might have given a slightly nicer result, as it would have found its way into the recesses more, but for a terrain piece its fine.
Any chance these terrain modular pieces will be available separately after the Kickstarter? I'd buy them but I'm on a budget these days so I fear I'll miss it :/
I'm not convinced the liquid mask is worth the faff. It's so much easier and safer to sponge on the chipping after painting and skipping 3 whole steps (painting the whole thing silver, varnish, and removal). You could use the time you saved to do chipping in 2 or even 3 colours (light, dark, and finally metallic on the most damaged areas). Otherwise, looking great!
Thanks! It’s all down to personal preference. I wouldn’t use liquid mask in every situation, just like I would t use sponge chipping in every situation. I will say that the liquid mask provides a more convincing outcome for less skill/effort tho. I think this is simply because it is actually chipping the paint rather than layering paint on top.
The advice at 1:26 is brilliant and well worth to follow 🤣🤣
It’s robust advice..
Love this format, really informative and really learning a lot from your videos.
That’s really great to hear! Thank you! 🙏
This came out so well! Amazing work! So glad you are back at it. I think the way you deliver the video is great as it is. It’s fast but informative.
Thanks! Really appreciate that. I know time is precious, so I do t want to waste any of the viewers.
Quality video again Steve. Gotta get some for my table ❤
Thanks Scott
I really like how you used the liquid masking fluid, I've had some in the press for ages and never thought it could be used on minis!
Thanks, i'm glad you liked it. Gonna give it a try?
@@LPP_YT for sure, I expect there will be some trial and error haha
Great stuff man 👍👍
Thanks 🙏
Those look awesome!!! The purple shade really does do a nice job. Personally, I really like the narration!
Thanks so much! I’m always concerned whether or not ppl might think it’s too fast.
@@LPP_YT Yeah, it’s hard to aim for everyone, I think if you’re liking it then other folks will!
Great video mate! Hope the kickstarter goes well!!
Thanks! Fingers crossed!

Thanks, okay I’ll add computer screens to the list. 👍
Great piece. Ended up looking fantastic. Going to need to try that purple shade. Where did you find the rounded piece with railings for the top part?
Thanks! It’s a custom piece I made for the project. 👍
