Flotrack, thanks for posting a link, I will watch the other races from the championship. Also, what does cif stand for ? C obviously California, but the rest ?
This years 3200M final would have been lights out compared to last years... I wouldn’t have been surprised if NP had sent 3 runners to state finals for the 3200..
This is the type of 3200m I like to watch, working hard the entire time. Not like the boring strategic pro runs that are literally a 300m race where they jog the 1st 2900m and who ever has the best kick wins.
Der Beste Mensch For athletes of their caliber it is a jog. He’s saying it’s not entertaining from a fan’s perspective to watch pros run slowly (by their standards) then kick, he’s not trying to compare himself with them.
Kunal Patil very true! He’s clearly not comparing himself to the pros lol anyone could see that. Simply commenting on how the winner was pushing the whole way.
The kid that got lapped is probably running a sub 10 minute 2-mile pace (which is outstanding) but when someone runs sub 9 minutes and puts together 65-67 second laps it is inevitable that you will be lapped.
shout out to eric reynolds, camarillo HS in 1982. it was the SS finals where i saw him run a 8:50 and destroy everyone. he was the nico young of his day, and obviously could give nico a run for his money, or the other way around.
@cyoungrun1 Craig is for sure a monster, German Fernandez did something very similar, he ran a national record 8:34 3200m after just having ran a 4:00 1600m a couple of hours earlier. These people are ridiculous
Yes. Strange. He also seems to bobble a lot. Not the smoothest form. He has a lot of wasted movement. If he can get that under control he'll do some great things.
@@djsjsmej1861 I said I'm not saying he doesn't work hard, I know he does. But so do a lot of other people who you will never hear about because they don't have talent. Plenty of people are doing the same mileage and intense interval sessions who will never come close to breaking 9 for the 2 mile.

nope. the mile/1600 makes sense. four laps. just like this - 8 laps. two miles. "let's run 100m less than four laps". see what i mean? that is akin to running the 380m.
