      When you gain more perspective, you’ll learn that not everyone needs attention all of the time, especially when they are comfortable in their own (substantial) accomplishments and are accompanying their wife - and no doubt, a friend in Steve Martin.

    • @andrealuvshouse
      @andrealuvshouse 3 месяца назад

      It was Steve Martin’s gig, with his band and Edie Brickell. Paul
      Simon was a surprise guest and probably didn’t even know the song. He was probably playing it by ear and adding harmony. He clearly didn’t want to steal the spotlight and everyone knows that everything Steve says on stage is an act.

    A great song, but it sounds so much crisper when done with just the SCR's! The orchestra seemed to drag, and sounded like a lazy accordion player behind them. Sometimes, fewer is better... And I hate to say it, but these July/ December marriages never make the man look very attractive. She's 48yo here, while Paul is 72! Eventually, that pretty young thing makes you look tarnished. Long live the both of them!
