From the ones I've read here, I absolutely agree that they would make amazing adaptations!! I would personally really love to see Nevernight adapted, probably as a film trilogy... though a TV series would be good as well, the more content the better, lol.
Also, I love how you guys just started randomly started assigning roles in the adaptation process to all these lovely booktubers, hahah. Totally on point though, I think you would all make a dream team and produce an epic fantasy show/film 🤪

Ed, after watching 1 of the videos where u talked about Tom Swan, I tracked down the hardback trilogy set and am very excited for them to arrive. Heck yes to Red Rising - I'm honestly surprised it's not already a series. Especially with what British Ed said - so many relevant talking points with class/race issues, etc. You would think that as popular as the books are it would be seen as safe to take a chance on producing. I can't see it flopping or losing money. Unless of course Hollywood completely ruins it, but they NEVER do that . . . 🙄

    3) piranesi

Some of your picks are on my TBR, so I don’t have any opinion about them yet (but I *knew* Boudicca would somehow find her way on Ed’s list. 😂.)
In a similar spirit but mixing Fantasy with historical fiction I would love to see Shauna Lawless’s Children of Gods and Fighting Men adapted.
At the top of my list is a series that is presently in development though it has just lost the streamer that was to pick it, and that would be Fonda Lee’s Green Bone Saga.
I think I would also really love to see Rivers of London series as well.
As for science fiction I would really love to see the latest Alastair Reynolds novel Eversion be made as a movie. And also The First Fifteen Lives of Harry August by Claire North (or anything by Claire North really, she’s fantastic).

As someone obsessed with BM I would love to see it...but to find someone to do it justice and also keep to the structure and brutality of the story would be too hard I think. It certainly wouldn't be a film for everyone. Hopefully one day a director with enough pulling power wants to have a go at it.

Neverwhere was on my lips for the entire video and I thought you might bring it up! I think it would make a really great animated series where the animation really accentuates all of the colourful characters’ quirks.
But I do also have to say, I would LOVE Faithful and the Fallen. I think it would make an excellent long series.
I would also love to see a film series of Iain M Banks’ Culture books. They’d be epic.
I would also like to see Wheel of Time done well….so let’s see how the tv series continues, if they smash the next season then nice. If not, I demand another adaptation!

    1. The dark tower series by Stephen king I hated the movie version the series should be a tv show Mike flannigan would be great doing that he's already directed 3 adaptations of kings work
    2. They never learn by Layne Fargo because it definitely would be great
    3. Swan song by Robert mccammon I would love to see it be a miniseries
    4. The clearing by heather Davis
    5. Rose madder the book is so underrated but it definitely should get an adaptation
    6. The godblind trilogy by Anna Stephens it would be a good fantasy tv show
    7. Dracula the undead by Dacre stoker it's technically a sequel to bram stoker Dracula
    8. The cactus by Sarah Haywood
    9. The heart principle by helen Hoang it would be a great romantic film
    10. The green bone saga by Fonda lee

    • @thebrothersgwynne

As Empire of the Summer moon is non-fiction you see the broad sweep of the Comanche influence from the 16th to 20th century. Ride The Wind is focused on the characters... I would probably start with Empire of the Summer Moon which is what I did.
