A little about me:
My name is Minoo. I’m originally from Iran, and I live and work in the U.K.
I’m a qualified English teacher and teacher trainer, but that’s not what makes me good at my job.
I just love teaching! It makes me feel good when I can share something I’ve learned with others. That’s why I still love teaching English after 40 years of doing it!
English is such a vast and complicated language! My passion is to make it as easy as possible for others to learn. My students always praise my ‘clear explanations’ and 'structured method'.
I suppose I can explain things well because I’m not a native speaker. I’ve struggled with English pronunciation, grammar, and vocabulary myself. I’ve had to work out the rules and learn the exceptions, and I just love sharing my own discoveries with others like me who are learning English as a foreign language.
Thank you so much, everyone, for all the ‘likes’ and your lovely and supportive comments! I'm so grateful for your support!
Reach C1 fluency by joining my complete course at app.anglo-link.com/. This teacher-guided online course includes weekly LIVE Lessons and Workshops with me + a Members' WhatsApp Conversation Club to boost your speaking skills. Memberships start from US$6.50 per month.
All confusions are now crystal clear. Very helpful video. Thank you, Mam.

Thank you!
It makes a perfect sense. Thanks
Thank you very much , very good lesson . Very easy to remember.
You are most welcome!
İt is amazing to see you here after two weeks! We had been really waiting this videos's notification.
I'm glad you've enjoyed the lesson, Ahmet!
The correct is : we have been waiting you for long time
My Gmail First of all, thank you for correction; however, my sentence is correct. I used past perfect continuous tense in order to emphasise the period of waiting. In other words, if I had used present prefect tense, it would be understood that I still wait this video. I saw the video; and therefore, it finished there is no more waiting! We use past perfect tense so as to talk about something that started in the past and lasted for a long time. I hope you understand. 🤓
Ahmet is correct. It is implicit that he had already watched the lesson before he wrote the comment, so the first part of the sentence can be dropped: (Before I watched the lesson,) I had been waiting for it.
I am watching your old videos (fortunately, the grammar didn't change)
See you soon my favorite teacher.
P.S I love your hair
Thanks a lot, Mero! I hope you're enjoying the old lessons too.
Hello Minoo
I want to thank you for your useful lessons, clear explanations and mesmerizing style of speaking!
Knowing you're not a native speaker, I feel even more impressed and you've always been a person to follow for me. (Honestly, I wanted to say a particular thanks for not using that ubiquitous and a bit annoying filler "ok ok", which you never overused before... but oops... this time it happened to be heard throughout the video))
Thank you very much for your lovely comment, Galina, and also for pointing out my overuse of 'o.k.' in this video! I'll watch out for that in future lessons.
@@AngloLinkEnglish I really appreciate you paying attention to comments, wish you every success, commend you again, and say 'Many thanks!'

You'r welcome!
Mam I have one more confusion, i.e. in the last point of quiz we should have a little things to discuss as we cannot count things. So we should use a little instead of a few.
You can count things: one thing >> many things.

Hi friend. Me too. Her hair's fallen me.
Dear friend
Sorry to bother
But could you help me with the difference between "in lead. And in the lead"
I think the first means "in charge" while the other means "in first place or winning"
Again, sorry to be disturbing, but you are my most trusted person to ask for help😊
Cheers 🍹
Hello Mohammed,
I've not heard the expression 'in lead' meaning 'in charge'. When I look at the phrase, I can only think of 'lead' as the metal: an object made of lead.
'in the lead', as you say, means 'in the winning position'.
Awesome
Thank you!
thanks
You're welcome!

Ma’am can you please recommend a book for essay writing? I am going for a competitive exam and we have to write an essay of 2000. Wide range of topics is given and you have to select just one to write on. The paper demands a proper outline. Intro, body and conclusion.
I can't recommend a specific book, but if you Google 'Academic Essay Writing', you will have many good resources on the Internet. Choose one of the top 5 that appeals to you. You can also watch my tips on essay writing here:
