If you are taking your HP ENVY 4 laptop apart be careful and wear an anti-static wrist band or use other anti-static device. If you need to change a LCD usually you don't have to take screen out of a laptop. You can leave it on a laptop and watch the last part of the video where I am taking LCD apart. If you need to change a keyboard, you don't have to take all bottom screws out. There are usually some marks, like a keyboard picture, on a case bottom. If you need to put a laptop back to work be aware of screws. They are different and you better remember or mark them somehow to insure that you will put them back in to a right place.
Some laptops I take apart first time, so don't be serious on my time and performance.
If something got broken - ooops, it's your fault.
Believe me, some parts in your laptop are already broken, you just don't see that.

How did you get the back off so easy??? I thought after the screws come out you need to pop clips to remove it??? Or did you unclip it before???

Amazing work, it not so simple to do it need good experience. I was thinking of changing the keyboard but after looking the video i concluded that first of all its time consuming second thing is that there are alot of screws and many parts seems so confusing. But if you want to do first time than u need full day.

You really ought to have separate containers for each type of screw and write down where each one came from if you do this.
When you removed the heatsink, was there just the paste between the metal heatsink and the CPU or was there some other kind of padding?
hi! on 8:40min i saw the flex calble of keyboard, is it a backlit keyboard? if so i wonder if i could change a keyboard like yours on my envy4 1070el italian edition?
If I just need to replace the keyboard, Do i need to do all that or can we access the keyboard from the top?

Hi, I would say it can be a bad keyboard and you would need to replace it. It wouldn't be easy. Before you do that, just make sure and try with a usb keyboard if "a" and shift works.

@@philipsingian I would locate a specific laptop number, let's say something like HP Envy 4-1234dx and than the name of the part, like video cable or whatever is needed. Unless you can pull a needed part and find some abbreviations or part numbers on it.

Watch closely how the battery is being removed. Pretty much similar technic needs to be done to replace just a battery. I would search for some battery on eBay... Otherwise if nothing on eBay - somewhere else.

Graphics cards are way bigger. They are almost one of the biggest parts of any specs of a computer.
No it has onboard graphics on the motherboard, not a card.

67gortiz I can tell exactly. If you are talking about internal screen and not a whole piece than probably yes, but only IF part number and version of a screen EXACTLY THE SAME.

So far I can see it is m.2 Sata ssd. Should be 24gb.

Add memory yes, but not graphics. It has onboard graphics on the motherboard, not a card that can be switched out.

Mitu Hello, nope it is integrated in to a motherboard. Meanse there is no lock that you can turn and remove CPU.
It can be made in a professional environement but it is too much.
