CEN CAL dang that was 8 months ago.. well i called a tow truck and waited for around 5 hours. He never came. So since it was night time and pretty cool outside i decided to risk it and drive home. Made it and then took car to shop the next day
Hey! I needed to put water in the radiator & I have never done this before. I was too stubborn to call anyone else. So I found your video, and it was so easy. Thanks so much for the info and the easiest way to get the job done! You're an absolute blessing! I subbed, because this little thing gave me so much confidence. You really do explain it well, and also show how to get the job done. I can't thank you enough! It may seem silly, I only put gas in my car, but I feel worlds better knowing that I have an option to at least try minor things. Even putting the cap back on correctly was cake because of you! Thanks again for your time and help. Be well! 🤗😄 🙏
Excellent video. Very refreshing to see a diy video where the explanations are clear, without any rambling or confusing statements, and the camera work is steady without any shaking or moving around aggressively.
Very good instructor! You not only tell "what" thoroughly for someone like me who doesn't know, you also explain "why" for better understanding. Thanks bro.
This video saved me big time! My car overheated on a route with no cellular reception. I inched my way and finally found a house that was kind enough to let me use their landline. Got towed to the nearest gas station where there was finally reception. Watched your video. I didn't know what it was supposed to look like after I took off the radiator cap. Most sites say that you should only fill the reservoir. It was 105 degrees consistently where I was traveling and I had no idea my radiator was so low. After watching your video, I realized that I had to put coolant in both the reservoir and the radiator. Thank you so much! You saved me big time!
Thanks for the advice this helps a lots.. Maybe I have to replace the coolant because when I touch the radiator hose its really so hot that I cannot hold for long.
Excellent video. I don't have to be a mechanic to understand. Thank you for a clear explanation. I'm on my way to help a friend with an overheated car.
Excellent....good, basic information for the non-mechanic...not too technical and showed clearly what you were talking about. (And it helped that you were working on a car just like mine....perfect!)
I'm watching this video in November 2023. My car has overheated. I've got coolant etc with so i'm watching this video while my car cools down. Thankyou for this clear and easy to understand video 😊
NOT KNOWING IS THE WORSE FOR ME. BUT, NOW, that I am researching, educating, overloaded with information.... I'm sickened🤢🤢🤢🤮🤮🤮 To learn TOO LATE what I should have known sooner. PUBLIC SCHOOLS should INCLUDE all this information, too.
yes go straight to the point like that. not like others......"let me show you..blah blah blah..... (10mins later).......takes your car to the shop. Thanks for watching"
@bleeek Maybe the person who needs subtitle has language disability or someone who doesn't understand english without looking at the letters and words.
My car mitsubishi outlander 2006 when ever I go speed more than 110 kilometres car temperature going up.but when I driving less than 100kilo the temperature ok. Can any one help me?!!?!
I was always that when adding coolant to your radiator your car is suppose to be running. True or false.....he didn’t give any directions when adding fluid to the radiator 😊😊
Hello. I want to completely remove the water from my radiator and add new water and coolant. I want to many litres of coolant is require to mix with water for my car ? I have a Honda Civic 2008. Thank you. Looking forward to hear from you soon.
How often do you need to check antifreeze in the radiator cap. And did you check your antifreeze tank level at the same time you check your radiator cap for fluid level?
Should the coolant in radiator cap be always full? My reservoir is always at the right level but the radiator cap always goes down in level. Just had change a radiator due to leak.
best way to check radiator leaking or anything is to check radiator container. if there is a leak then car will suck some radiator fluid from the container to system
Very informative video, I found my car cooling issue after this video, my car is new but it has leak, and the reservoir tank ran out of water and I have never checked the water level carefully I thought it's new model it doesn't need full checking.
What if the radiator is full but the reservoir is empty with just a little water? Can I pour the 50/50 in there? Before I got most of the water out I did use only water and eventually purchased 50/50 it’s an 2005 Honda Accord.
my 2001 gmc denali has no radiator cap that i can see. I've read on the internet that I should use the radiator overflow container. I need to check my level and add fluid. Dummy light is on LOW COOLANT LEVEL. Do i do it through the overflow? Thanks.
@hmfuku12 drain that stuff out it sounds bad. You need a radiator flush go to a car store and ask them whats best. And use a quality coolant and stick with it. Don't mix different brands cause it can damage your radiator. Don't forget to clean out the plastic overflow reservoir i heard a couple of spoons of coffee works. Pour out the old stuff, put in coffee and shake the crap out of it
A well done video. Thoughtful, informative, and a real service. Excellent to teach all your children about this important good habit to help prevent problems. Thanks very much!
Tell me about it , here in brazil to this day more than 80% of the cars runs with just water in the coolant ,all gets fulled with rust than the car overheats it then boom there goes an engine .P.S did anyone ever mistaken you with D.K from the Fast&.. 3?
Only problem is my 1995 when hot there is no fluid in the spare tank or when cold why is that? But my car does not over heat nor does it have any leaks.
So how much coolant do I fill the Overflow tank? Is it at the Full level or Low level? Because I heard that if I fill my Overflow tank at Full level then when the Engine is Hot , it will Expand and then eventually will Shoots out Coolant? Thanks
so my radiator has coolant clear to the top like you said it should, but my "overflow" reservoir is way below the cold fill line. Do I just add the 50/50 coolant to the cold fill line? If I add the coolant recommended by the manufacturer to the overflow reservoir and the existing coolant is some other kind does that matter.?
@eddie maggie Ibarra .. did you do a radiator flush or something dealing with coolant ? if there coolant in your car then you got a major leak in the hose connected to your heater core or a busted heater core.. feel free to email or leave me a message.. i had the same issue and solved them.. thx buddha!
the radiator in my car gets so hot smoke always comes out from the engine and shuts down my car, even before the radiator got ripped...anyone can give me an idea why??
There are very small amounts of minerals in tap water, like zinc, calcium, etc. These are good for your body, and you need them. However, these make the metal in your car rust quicker.
i am currently watching this while parked on side street. almost over heated

Oh man! I was in that position the other day :/ Thankfully there was a jiffy lube across the street!!
*AAAUGH MY CAR OVERHEATED BUT I ALREADY PUT COOLANT IN IT so I’m good yeh ?????*

learn how to check your tire pressure. that's also basic and easy to learn
Excellent video. Very refreshing to see a diy video where the explanations are clear, without any rambling or confusing statements, and the camera work is steady without any shaking or moving around aggressively.
Very good instructor! You not only tell "what"
thoroughly for someone like me who doesn't know, you also explain "why" for better understanding. Thanks bro.
and what if your radiator is not full already?
Then you fill it with either pre deluted coolant or delute antifreeze with destiled water according to the instructions.
all this talk about radiators just get me HEATED..
LoveTech W
Sounds like a personal problem.
Nice!!!😂😂😂
Top up your anti freeze.
😂
This is such a good video. It's detailed and to the point. I'm not a car guy so this helped simplify the job for me. Thank you! 😁
You are far detailer and perfect than other videos.
Wut .?

Good video! For car ignoramuses like me this is really helpful.

I'm a 60 year old woman. I just am finishing a 3 hour drive and will check this immediately when I get home!
Guess who didn’t put the cap back on the right way and guess what happened on a 104 degree day…

I like my mechanic to have a Master's in Mechanical engineering.
Knockout Investing Life Like most employers, I see.
Excellent video. I don't have to be a mechanic to understand. Thank you for a clear explanation. I'm on my way to help a friend with an overheated car.
Wow and all these years I've been topping up with tap water!!!!!!!
Tap water doesn't harm your engine.
@@hyderaliraxa8821 good luck in the winter
So detail, that's exactly what we layman need. Thanks!
For safety only open the radiator on a stone cold engine. Don't even risk opening the radiator cap after a few hours of cooling down.
oh my goodness this helps SO MUCH
This is probably the best expertvillage video I've ever seen!!!
Excellent....good, basic information for the non-mechanic...not too technical and showed clearly what you were talking about. (And it helped that you were working on a car just like mine....perfect!)
Excellent video, thanks! Clear, concise, easy to follow instructions and demo. Wonderful speaking voice, and, as a bonus, dayum! You’re handsome! ❤️
Thank you for being so clear and covering all the bases!
Your face is very symmetrical, you should model part time.

True or false.....he didn’t give any directions when adding fluid to the radiator 😊😊
Cobblers, you pour the coolant in, then add water to finish topping up and it will mix itself.
Joss Cues absolutely coz you never really know if you have removed all of the old fluid and its better to be slightly over in the mix than under
Hello. I want to completely remove the water from my radiator and add new water and coolant. I want to many litres of coolant is require to mix with water for my car ? I have a Honda Civic 2008. Thank you. Looking forward to hear from you soon.
Jeff if coolant reservoir fill up what are causing that?
Cap,radiator,water pump!
Well explained

Damn I had to get towed towed, topping off the radiator fluid now and then off to webuyanycar tmrw. Wish me luck ! 😊 🤙
i learned a lot from this video. thanks samurai..
You’re welcome padawan
Informative and helpful. Thank you
Great at explaining this and the camera work is good.

@bleeek Maybe he took into account the people that can't hear well.

U explained so well. I love u already haha
Idk if anyone will see this, but nowadays is most coolant at gas stations and stores usually 50:50?
I've never mixed coolant, never even heard of it.
How would you replace your the hose with the clamp on the radiator?
thanks bro very helpful and informative

Thank you so much for a perfect and simple explanation.
Thanks!:)
He looks like the dude from the Last Samurai
do not.. under any circumstances.... pour tomato soup into your coolant system!! .. i did, and it totally siezed up the radiator.
Car battery distil water?
how much coolant should there be in a car?
hey now, take it easy, i know jack shit about cars so this is helpful. i didnt even know what antifreeze was used for before this vid

Brothe I have a Suzuki Baleno almost 3 years coming June. Do I need to change my coolant??? Pleas advice me
What happens if you accidentally put 100% antifreeze into the overflow container, instead of half water / half antifreeze? Is this bad?
👍🏾

not everyone knows about car engines and such, that doesn't mean you get to put people down like that.
i don understand something...where does exactly we put the coolant into? into the coolant reservoir or just directly on top of the hole? anyone plis?
