This is one of the best videos! Easy, clear, to the point. I love the simplicity you used to give me a great deal of information. Not too short or too long....just perfect.
Great video! I was wondering when you'd do a video on colorants for wax. We use FD&C powder in bath bombs alot, but I can see why in wax this would be a huge pain! I've been using liquid dye for it's ease of use and it is very reasonably priced. Any color you can't find you can always mix your own and the drops are easy to keep track of and get the same color in round two if you keep accurate records. I can never tell people enough times, that this is the most important step, no matter what you are making!
Oh my favorite teacher. Now you do this. I've already tested all of these and a couple other coloring methods. I use only liquid, for candles, as a result of my own tests. Great video. Any plans of a live Q & A in the future??
Hi Tim, Personally I use the chips for me it’s easier 2 chips for 16 oz., 1 chip for 8 oz., 1/2 for 4 oz., and 1/4 chip for 2 oz,. Using these Specs in combination I can come up with the amount I needful my wax. Also where did you get the wick centering rings, I can’t find them. Thanks for your hard work on the videos.
Hi Tim. Question about the dye. What’s your opinion with regards to any of these options you shown clogging the wicks? Does one kind hinder more than others?
Thank you very much for this video! I am new to soy wax candle coloring and find it challenging! I am trying to make Vibrant Lime color, used Liquid Dye, Block Dye, but still didn't succeed! Making small amounts makes it difficult to measure...I use 3 drops of yellow and tip of toothpick of blue and it still turns olive...Any advise on Vibrant Lime?
Hi Tim, Great Videos. I am a newbie. 😊 I’m using 444 golden, heating to 185 & pouring at 110. (Is that right for this type of soy wax? My dye chips aren’t dissolving completely? Help, Tim!! I Love doing this/ Right my wrongs, Please? Happy Kandle Making. Maybe, someday I’ll be as great as you. 🙏
Why is there no info anywhere on the internet as to whether these dyes are toxic when they burn? Also why are you using paraffin wax, do you want cancer? Insane how most people care about their stuff being made cheap rather than their own health.
