- ActRaiser 2 (SNES) All Bosses (No Damage, No Magic). ActRaiser 2 (アクトレイザー2 沈黙への聖戦) is a side-scrolling platform game for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System developed by Quintet and published by Enix (now Square Enix) in 1993. The game is a sequel to the original ActRaiser, but the storyline is not directly connected to its predecessor; however, many plot details suggest that ActRaiser 2 may actually be set before the events of the original ActRaiser, or take place in another universe entirely. Wow this is impressive, no matter how easy Shadowserg makes this look this game is actually mad difficult.
It's not that hard, c'mon
JAJAJAJAJA JAJAJAJAJAJAJAJAJA!!! SEGA Win´s (7-MHZ) (Guns Star´s Heroes / Contra Hard Corps / Alien Soldiers:-)
Very easy. Asshole
he doesn’t have problems with the bosses, he has problems with the stages, look at his health bar
Ezequiel Ranne gunstar is boring as hell and it isn’t that hard either
These bosses are pretty diverse and designed well. 2d games still rock
Graphics like this weren't far behind the PS1 Sprite-based games, which the system didn't seem to have enough of.
Because they are designed and is inspired by the classical paintings representations of Demons
The art does have a timeless appeal
2d For Life
this is freaking impressive! Actraiser 2 is the hardest game I've ever played to this day
Such an underrated game. First time I played it scared the pants off me. It does have a very old world and hellish atmosphere. People complain about the jumping. Yeah. It's not a Mario game. You have to practice. Level up your own playing skills. It really is the Dark Souls for SNES.
You know that it was serious when the status screen disappeared while fighting the final boss
From my knowledge of SNES graphics, that's because it was using the 1 layer mode where all 256 colors are available at once. That's how the devs were able to get such obscene detail on the final boss's graphics, and it looks amazing.
@@Biospark88 It was a fun little programming trick, AND it was a way of saying "Time to get Serious". I love when old school games get around their limitations like that.
Love orchestrated music in any game! Super Ghouls n Ghosts and Castlevania IV as well
Omg 😳
Why was this overlooked during the early days? This was perfection…guessing it wasn’t the same style of play as the first one
Underrated game
Slow paced gameplay (players didn't like it), no simulation portion, and extreme difficulty.
its hard
Rated T so they couldn't have you fight Lust, and made her 'Confusion' instead.
I feel that the second lost a bit of the magic of the first by cutting out the sim elements, and that's coming from someone who normally never plays games with sim elements in them.
That said, this is a fantastic action game, and it has one of the best sounds for a sword swing I've ever heard in a video game.XD
I'd agree that the lack of sim elements does make it a lot less novel, but on the other hand it is a far superior (and insanely more difficult) action game. Probably why opinion on the two games tends to be so divided.
what it lost:
town building
meaningful and fun upgrades
geography
god elements(worship, tributes, prayers, miracles)
what it gained:
platformer game upgrades
boss difficulty
overall difficulty
I'm really disappointed with the lost but welcome the gains. Still hoping for this and gargoyle quest-demon crest sequel or remake.
I wish it would have been like part 1. This guy moves a little slower than the first
@@lacreatura4737 And the sim bits are even longer before, graphics are prerendered (why not use old fashioned hand drawn sprites), and the most useless addition, tower defense. The music however, is Yuzo Koshiro greatness.
I think losing the sims part was to match up with the first game's ending. Since the people the master recreated became strong enough to stand on their own, the first game even hinted that they stopped worshipping and praying to him. Hench, the second game, was the master finishing up loose ends with the demons and saving the world from them trying to retake over.
It does suck that the sim element was taken out, but I think both games paint a picture of how people went from being wiped out by demons to thriving and surviving without the masters' help after he defeated the demons the first time around.
The way goblin boss was bouncing back and forth was funny to watch.
This game could have been a complete classic with a more balanced difficulty, maybe the only thing it needed was better movements of the character, if he could at least run the game would be so much more enjoyable. Graphics are great.
Maybe with a dash movement could have been enough....
This game is about God who sent Michael the Arch angel from Heaven down to earth to slay Lucifer's demon army who are attacking humanity and taking over the earth. Michael is here to restore peace to mankind and humanity and destroy Lucifer it was his mission from God. Wished Miyazaki took this same concept and implement it in a game similar to Dark Souls or Bloodborne.
Darksiders is kind of in that realm
looks top tier this game, beautiful monster designs!
I got this game for my birthday so long ago and it was so difficult back then lol, the boss battles are so unique and diverse. I could never get past the Tower of Babel stage and never finished the game
This game was creepy for me when i was a kid playing it.
This is one of the best games ever made. so fun and such beautiful art. i love this game so much. this one of the best experiences. im so amazed with the art and music it really makes you feel like you are there. amazing! perfection. awesome video and skills this game is hard.
Actraiser 2 would've been an even better sequel if a few elements would've been added:
1. The Sim Angel portion. Even if they refined it a little bit and added a few things, it would've been a great addition to the game's depth.
2. If The Master/God were not so slow and moved a little faster, even keeping his sword and shield along with giving him some variety of sword attacks. Even bringing back some of his old magic.
3. If during the added Sim Angel portion, putting alot more of the backstory of how the seven deadly sins conquered the lands. I would've LOVED to see how Lust took over the king, how Wrath instigated the invasion of the friendly kingdoms, how Pride manipulated the people to building the Tower of Babel (Souls), Gluttony's affect of famine with the people, Sloth affecting the people with losing the will to work and live, Greed angering the people with raising taxes through the king, and how Envy's story went to possessing the queen.
I very much agree with this.
Which one is Pride?
The boss of Humbleton, the machine thing. Only the finest of ironic town-names suffice. :3
Juggalo972 also I like the charter form the frist actraisrt game he looks like a knight the 2nd one looks like a naked man baby
4. If the game has actual double jump. How many times this flight mechanic has let me down and i died because of it because i just needed one extra jump, not flying
The Actraiser series deserves a Reboot!
SolSeraph is supposed to be a spiritual successor of ActRaiser series. :/
Your wish is granted
PS4 or PS5 version I'll buy!!
@@truemperahzentertainment6133 , Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, Switch, and PC also get it as well.
@@elivasquez2024 PS5??
Damn this is impressive as hell. How much practice did this take?
9:19
Cross-Slash! ActRaiser wins, the enemy paladin boss LOSES! XD
And again on 14:41 - proceeds swatting the boss away out of his face like a pesky little fly!
This ranks up there as one of the hardest video games of all time. Well Done!
Professional and very impressive
Wow!! no damage and not using special attack... you got my total respect!!
Wait, no special attack usage = respect?
The first Actraiser may be more well liked, but this one seems to have the more interesting boss design.
They remade the first Actraiser game I hope they consider remaking this one as well, maybe bring back the city developing aspects from the first game too
Maybe as an dlc to Renaissance? :)
this game was the bomb, i remember renting it in a small movie rental joint close to my home... must have rented it like 20 times until i finally was able to beat it (the rental was 3 days long). Fuck man, insanely hard, but good times.
I can't get over how that second boss is just FLOATING there, makes me think he was supposed to stay a wee bit lower on the screen.
剣で切った時の爆発の効果音ソウルブレイダーと同じのがあって草
i always thought the boss of Modero was GLuttony, given that it spawns Gules, the creatures said to be born of those who starved to death.
ALsoi Gratis was Greed, the green little guy with a super boastful pic. Since the angel specifically tells you the dragon you fought was the former king of the country, transformed by "Doom"
ActRaiser 1 was far superior
5:10 That’s not a worm, that’s a snail.
The character moves a bit sluggish and it's hard to get him to turn around and attack while jumping if you are facing away from the enemy. I like how you can attack and block at multiple angles. Very challenging game as every enemy requires a bit of patience for the most part.
imagine if this got remade with the town building stuff added to it :0
It would be so great.
Alright, in the case of that snapping plant thing, I did not know that only his FACE hurt you.
Actvania:
Bosses:
1:Stresswolf
2:Gatony
3:Hantom
4:Bonerat
4:Tevimon
5:Chomprus
6:Slatter
7:Scorpihun
8:Sambrain
9:Herobride
Final Boss:Venom
Surprisingly enough, there IS rule 34 of that dragon Doom.
That's frightening information thank you
woah, i've had this game for years and never really played it but watching this video gave me some Demon's Crest vibes so now I have to play it.
Amazing man, no clue how you did that.
This is impressive.
I love the boss designs of this game!
If they hadn't taken out the overworld segment from ActRaiser 1, I would say this was the better game. To think of what could have been. That's the only thing holding it back, imo.
You know, it's never clear whether this game takes place before or apart from ActRaiser 1. What do you think?
HAH HAH HAH, HAH HAH HAH HAH HAH
Oh, it was produced by Enix? That would explain why I got some Final Fantasy vibes from some of the boss designs, especially the more esoteric ones.
Actraiser 2
One of the most underrated sequels of all time.
This was one of my favorite games for Super NES back in the day I used to rock it. Both games need reboots and a Actraiser 3 just a thought.
I couldn't get pass the first boss.seriously this game was unplayable as a kid.apparently never heard if difficulty modes.
Anyone else realize that some of the bosses are named after the seven deadly sins?
I'm surprised you didn't also add the bonus boss to this.
True, Would have liked to see this too.
Now this game was hard af
It still is. I have no idea how 12 year old me mananged to beat it. I'm replaying this at age 17 and I can't even REACH some of the bosses.
Giant buzzard
Greed
Gluttony
Man-eating plant
Fatigue
Giant snake
Rusty worm
Tortoise island demon
Jealousy
Pegasus centaur
Vulcan Knight
Fury
Gargoyle
Confusion
Ghost
Deception

Tanzra
This shit makes bloodborne seem easy
Why is the Goblin King boss cosplaying as Proto Man in that painting in the background?
LOL 5:44 and more so 5:54 Shave and a haircut rhythm!
This game need a remake
I owned this game back in the day and this is the first time I've ever seen the boss of stage 2 and beyond.
actraiser is a angel fights all demons!WOW!
Compared to the first game, those bosses looks so weak and goes down so quickly...
Also the boss at 12:20 looks so comically out of place with the other bosses, that you would think it was some Easter Egg secret battle against an enemy from another game.
Looks can be very deceiving, play it to find out why it's considered difficult.
I’m Gonna make a boss list later . See ya guys
The music reminds me of playing breath of fire while the sounds reminds me of playing illusion of gaia
Michael or Gabriel or maybe his the son of Odin but he sure is very strong awe
this game sure holds up till today 2020
Dude looks like Hawkman.
did you forget the secret password ones?
Shadowserg Makes it Look like The Bosses in this game are cakewalk . THE Hell, I havent even reached The first boss before I broke my Controller.
2:55 easier level harder boss or harder boss easier level? naa! hard ass level hard ass boss
A combination of conan, thor and angel from x-men. Hot 😏
That tricking is Kid Icarus 4
Game is 🎉 but Level soundtrack is 😢.
I liked this game better than super castlevania IV
9:48 look like akuma.
hey guys did you know Act raiser 2 is a Prequel from Act raiser?
Am I the only one who thinks Actraiser 2 bosses are better than 1 bosses? It doesn't mean that 1 bosses are bad.
But 2 bosses have more sense of unity and creativity. Especially Deception(second palace boss) and Jealousy flare(temple boss).
Yanagi722 Actraiser 2 caters to fans who prefer the side scrolling gameplay of 1. It's a more polished and creative game in that respect. To bad not as fluid and fast paced as it's predecessor
The sequel is better in all aspects.
@@RBEO22 No, it's not.
Awesome graphics!
Great game and better gameplay.
I like how half the time Shadowserg shows up to the boss with almost no HP left.
But then, this video isn't titled *Getting To The Bosses (No Damage)*
Demon’s crest? Demon’s blazon?
Después o antes?
After or before?
….
Preludio or prelude
Muy parecido, luego mejoraron la música y más
Its so similar, then, they has improve the ost music and more
Cool!
My favorite Winged God. 😆
Believe it or not I had this game on the super Nintendo it's a shame my stepfather is sold my Nintendo but I had great games and this one is one of the best that I ever had I finished it a few times with best record but I won't lie it was hard but it was a great journey
I don't mean to sound like a smartass, but I swear that some of these names are mixed up...
???
Invencibility whas used
Not as good as the first Actraiser, but it rocks. I missed the "rpg" parts... It was not a bad idea not to include them on this follow-up.
Memories
Loved this game. Didn't put the controller down once when I was a kid until I almost beat it and had to return it because I rented it. Graphics were insane. Music was awesome. All those critics who gave it a bad rating because they were expecting it to be like Actraiser 1 can F-off!
so the dragon with all the gold is not Greed? Doom okay I can get that but it made more sence when the names doom and greed got swaped.
Amazing game
Wow looks like a life with an Hyundai P98 pro n in the future
Never played it, but I would have felt so fooled with that ending...
Actraiser 1 and 2, two of my favorite snes games
Si no fuera por ti mi jefe no se lo pasa
This game was like the Dark Souls of the SNES.
16:19 Nova, is that you?
This was an underrated game
Intro sequence boss?
The shield is useless
Hello! Will you take this challenge?
