Failing to fix a Sony PVM-14L5 No Power On Issue With Savon-Pat Capacitor Kit

  • In this episode we do the G-board portion of the Savon-Pat capacitor kit to see if it will fix the no power on issue my friend has with his Sony PVM-14L5. His PVM did work perfectly when he first got it but shortly after it developed this no power issue. The Savon-Pat kit did not fix the problem so we'll have to come back to it another day!

    Probably the power regulator transistors. Savon-Pat really should include those in the kits as well.

      @@markmathias9240 Not yet, my friend who owns it hasn't ordered the next parts that might fix it. The power regulators are what we're going to try next.

      also, if the power supply isnt showing a consistent output doesnt that mean its a bad power supply?
