I just discovered The Warning lasy month and they're already my favorite band of all time. Their albums sound like timeless classics, they're ultra talented, they got the badass look and their stage presence is next level. Rock goddesses ❤️⚡⚡⚡⚡ 🤘🤘
Their early stuff is always good . . Pepsi centre is now the go to for great live TW . . . . Wish you and your family a very merry christmas and an awesome new year . . Take care till next time. . Bye from NZ💐👍👋🇳🇿twa
Last year, the show at Teatro was the go-to concert for TWs' live performances; everyone wondered where they could top it. Now, here we are at the end of 2024, and this Pepsi Center show proved they could top it. I'm looking forward to seeing what they do in 2025. I'm positive it will be an amazing year for them.
Yeah, that's how Dany is. It's been affectionately dubbed 'Dany face'. Yep, from the 3rd album , Error. Same album as songs like ":Choke" and "Disciple". Don't drink the Kool Aid. "And it's sad to admit it's true That we find it way too easy Too easy to be cruel" -- love that lyric. From the Pepsi Center? EVERYTHING, lol. Ok , suggest starting with "Dust To Dust/Dull Knives" (2 songs in 1 vid). ANd Pau on piano for sure, with "Black Holes" and "Breathe". For "Breathe", make sure captions are on, and set to translate to English, to catch her spoken intro. Or just watch the entire concert and release it a song or 2 at a time. The entire show is available in 1 video.
Thank you! Yes, I wanna check everything out at some point so I WILL get through it all somehow. 😅 I keep hearing a lot about Breathe so the next time I sit down to record some Warning, that will be top of the list! 😊
I’d love to see a double reaction to "Black Holes" and "Breathe" from the Pepsi Center concert. Both songs feature Pau on the piano and are performed back-to-back. Watching them in the full concert video might be better than the individual clips because Pau gives an introduction to "Breathe" in Spanish, and the full video has embedded English captions. That way, you won’t have to deal with auto-generated or auto-translated RUclips captions. Plus, the video description has timestamps so you can jump straight to "Black Holes."
Love this song, the groove, the singing, the lyrics, all of it! Anything from Pepsi Center is gold! FYI, Error was released 2022 but recorded during the pandemic in 2020. Back then they were 20, 18 and 15. Ale just turned 20, same age as Dany when they were in the studio working on Error 🤯
I love how they start the song with just drums and bass, establishing an awesome groove. And then the lyrics with deep thoughts...!! This song is from their 3rd album, Error. They had it written pre-pandemic and before they signed with Lava Records. They signed with Lava during the pandemic then took 3 months to record the album in New Jersey with David Bendeth during the pandemic. Then they had to wait before they could tour to support the album!!
Kudos to post production too, which I believe was Pau's drum teacher and the inspiration for them to write their own songs. He also drums on the Teatro Metropolitan concert on Narcisista with Pau out front. Beto Ramos Edit: ooops...brain fart. Pablo González, Ale's bass teacher got them into writing their own music.
Thanks Nikki, excellent reaction to one of several dozen of my favorites from the Ladies. If you watch any of their many video interviews, or BTS videos you will see that Dany always has this big infectious smile and is as sweet as pie....of course when she is performing she can scare the bajesus out of you sometimes. Easily one of the very best front persons (male or female) in Rock and Roll.
TW are great performers this whole show is amazing it's from last year their 10yr anniversary show. Really like this song they always deliver live thanks Nikki great reaction. Dust to Dust/Dull Knives combined for a huge banger at this show would be good to check out.
I’m sorry Nikki, I don’t know what’s been happening with my Subscriptions, I’ve had a few disappear over the past few weeks, beginning to wonder if my account got hacked! Anyway, I’m back now pretty sure that if that was the case it shouldn’t happen again. Yeah Cool Aid kids is a hard hitter if you take the popularly take on it, but I don’t really think it went that deep. I think it was more about following the media and peer pressure without serious thought about what people do. More of a warning to be aware of what’s happening in the world. I think as always it shows their creativity in songwriting, there’s very rarely a song that doesn’t get you thinking! Nice reaction as always, enjoyed it!
Always love your reactions Nikki and I think it's great you do a bit of your own research rather than just reading comments to get information. Comments, even for The Warning, often just repeat things people heard somewhere or are copy-paste information rather than a dialogue. You always bring a new insight into things even if it is 'just' your own way of relating to the music or lyrics. Wouldn't trade it for anything else!
They have a video of the complete Pepsi Center concert that has marks for each song’s start! Do the whole concert in order, with that concert vibe. You can do one song at a time or more depending on your preference. Hard to pick up the same vibe when doing the video of a single song, even from the same concert, like Dany talking to the crowd in between songs. This is cut out on the individual videos!! Nice reaction, as always, Nikki!!!😊🎶⚡️
Great reaction! Thanks! My favorite song of theirs (which is also off of the Error album) is Martirio. At the Pepsi Center CDMX show, it was the set closer (before encores), and it absolutely lit the place up.
Yes anything and everything from The Pepsi Center CDMX is amazing video and audio. And Kool-AID kIDS doesn't get reacted to as much as the others so turns out to be a great choice Nikki !
Hey Nikki, the Pepsi center show is currently the GO TO one.KaK is such a great song. Can't wait to see them again in Feb. 2025 in Mexico City (CDMX) and Guadalajara (GDA) next year.
@keenian6164 Kool Aid Kids does tend to lurk just under the surface in popularity. Maybe because it has a slower beat than a lot of the blood-pumping showstoppers like Z and Evolve?
Can't go wrong with anything from the Pepsi Center or anything TW for that matter. Did you know Dead Poets Society just released a collaboration with The Warning? I highly recommend it.
If you happen to check out Survive from this concert there’s a point where Dani’s facial expressions go from a love struck girl to a PO”ed woman and it’s so perfect to the song she is the ultimate front woman
Great reaction! "Fear and regret, go hand in hand, but that's what it means to be human" - still stuck in my head months after first hearing it. The Teatro Metropolitan concert set the bar technically for sound and video production of a live show (outstanding performance notwithstanding.) Pepsi Center adds an insane crowd to the mix and steps ahead of Teatro. Expectations are high for what comes out of the CDMX concerts in Feb '25; no one will be disappointed if it's "only" as good as Pepsi Center, but no one will be surprised if there's something about it that's better.
This is a veiled reference to the mass suicide in Guyana in 1978 where "drinking the Kool Aid" entered the language to mean following a false ideology. This song is about following false ideologies on social media - a common theme for TW.
With that bass line, it doesn't surprise me one bit. Saw them twice this year, but sadly Kool-Aid Kids was not on the set list as they are focused on the new music-and rightly so.
Another great reaction! I love so much about this performance. It's such a vibe. I love Pau's fills and how she just gets into her own little groove back there at 2:51 and 3:30, jamming on the drums, Ale's driving bass line, Dany's intensity and crowd work and grit. And I love the synchronized hair-flip with Ale and Pau at 1:24 LOL! The drink mixture at Jonestown was actually grape Flavor-Aid mixed with cyanide. Jim Jones convinced his followers that the US government was getting ready to invade and take them all into custody, or worse. There were a handful of people that escaped, but the rest "Drank the Kool-Aid" blindly accepting what he was telling them and believing that this was their only way out. Over 900 people died that day. I remember seeing it on the news. Bodies laying all over the place on the ground, slumped over chairs, tables, benches, laying alone, holding each other. Just Google Jonestown, Guyana and check the images. It was insane. - Not sure how poor Kool-Aid got associated with it, since it was Flavor-Aid. You know the Kool-Aid execs must cringe every time they hear someone talk about 'Drinking the Kool-Aid' LOL!
Just to clarify, the phrase “don’t drink the kool-aid” is a Jonestown reference but has taken on a meaning of its own over the (many) decades since. The song is NOT a Jonestown reference, the song is a “don’t drink the kool-aid” phrase reference. Maybe a small distinction but a very important one that often gets lost on the internet.
The Pepsi center CdMX is the 10th aniverssary celebration and Error Tour concert, so every song of the error album is in that concert. In 2025, Auditorio Nacional concert is the first with all the songs of Keep me Fed album…is gong to be Epic. FUN FACT: for every artist in Mexico to have a Sold Out in Auditorio Nacional is pretty significant in their carrier.
That Dany and her crazy eyes! 🤪🤨👀 Rock Sound's Top 24 Albums of 2024, #11 The Warning, Keep Me Fed: "...hit new musical heights...perfectly transmitting their LIVE REPUTATION (my emphasis) onto record...the sky is the limit for this dynamic trio."🤘
Dany brought extra grit with songs from KMF and her guitar. But she has also brought what I like to call grit with her facial expressions especially the last couple years of tours.
Their social commentary in the ERROR album was just so uncommonly wise. Disciple and Z and Kool Aid Kids criticize and warn about group-think and extremism, while most other bands would simply promote blind rage and riotous mobs.
Ok this explanation of the song comes closer to what I recall DPA talking about when they were asked about these lyrics....The song "KOOL AID KIDS" by The Warning seems to be a social commentary on conformism and blind obedience to authority1. The lyrics encourage listeners to reflect on their own lives and question societal expectations3. The metaphor of "Kool-Aid kids" represents people who follow rules without questioning them .
in there early album 21 century blood and Error they touch on things they feel is wrong in the world. like some songs is about not follow blindly but question things. but also if you just are on the sideline not doing anything your also a part of the problem cus then your not speaking up for change
I love the Warning, every song at the Pepsi Center is worth a reaction! Also, if you like them, try Lzzy Hale and Halestorm, try them with the song, Amen, live at Wembley 2024 and get ready to be blown away again. You can't go wrong with either band, they will keep Rock alive in the 21st century. Enjoy! 🔥🎵🎸🎤🎸🎶🔥
As far as I could see you haven't done much from error or the Pepsi center.. you haven't done black hole or breathe. I think there's like 23 songs in total. Just start with Z and go from there.
This is another WARNING song, with references to the Jonestown Massacre of 1978. If you are not familiar with that story, look it up. It's pied-piperism at its absolute most horrific. Over 900 people drank cyanide-laced Kool-Aid and died, at the request of a religious nut. No, that's not strong enough. In reality, he was a satanic asshole. This song is elegant satire, with the message of *think for yourself.* The album *ERROR* is great. Go for it. Teatro Metropolitan concert contains the album. Pepsi Center has songs from all four of their albums, but just a few from *Keep Me Fed.*
@@BryceKatz Sure. But try to tell people the generic tissue is not "Kleenex." Same with artificial flavors added to sugar water.

I feel this song and xxi century blood go hand in hand. They are both about today's youth being indoctrinated into something and not thinking for themselves.
I really like how their distinct styles onstage compliment each other, Ale brings the swagger, Pau the passion and Dany the entertainment. At my second concert I stood only a few feet away from Dany and the way she combines playing, singing, her expressions and interactions with her sisters and the crowd is mesmerizing to watch (ruclips.net/video/l9IB4P73VTE/видео.html from that show, audio not great but 7 mins of Dany doing Dany things more than makes up for that). Still need to see your reactions to the QOTMS Lunario songs but I suspect you noticed she really got into her 'Crimson Queen' persona, so much that she even managed to scare her sisters a little. Quite a feat for someone usually described as a ray of sunshine!

Queens of Rock.
Dany is a great front woman.
She really is! She has the energy that's needed for sure! 😅
she is, and then you see her off stage and she's just a lovely goof ball. can't help but love these young ladies.
I can see Dany singing a nursery rhyme song to kids with the same intensity and facial expressions 😂👍🏽
⚡️THE WARNING⚡️
LoL....I could see nightmares in their future....😂😂
@chefdaddy37 Great remark! What a visual!
Imagine that she shows up as the Crimson Queen!
I’m glad you liked the song. It’s got to be one of their most underrated/under-appreciated.
