I play golf with some people that have some pretty stressful occupations. If they can't swear on a golf course then where can they let that steam go to. It is lovely watching a surgeon let a few very strong expletives rip, then watch him/her stop, look around and see their playing partners rolling about with laughter. It really works as a safety valve. 😂
Pete did you hear on Rick's podcast last week that Guy said he thinks you would whoop Rick in a fight 😂😂 first time I ever agreed with anything Guy said 😂 great podcast guys. Keep up the good work 👏
The LiV golfers who were recorded swearing swore just as much while on the PGA tour before they joined LiV.. the media just didn't choose to highlight it.. BUT.. now they play on LiV the media couldn't wait to target them and over react! 😂😂.
Hole in one! 👍 ☺️ I had Gooch because of age and Oklahoma. I didn't write this back then but had Ernie Els on the first as well. No real surprise, though, since he's my favorite. Always great fun. Keep it up, guys! 😊
Really enjoyable as always team…thoroughly enjoy the podcast each week. Keep up the great work 👌(Talor Gooch needs to go return to his bedroom and play with his Lego)
“I can get level par”. That is excellent, now you just have to swindle yourself to think the par level is actually 65, then you can win almost any event. For example, think half of par 5 are par 4 and half of par 4 are par 3. :D
LIV golfers play in the international series, which do carry world ranking points, hence Joaquin Niemann, also they can play on the sunshine and Asian tours
New Zealand boys like Taco and Tooms should get a look at professional golf + RUclips intersections. Related, you guys should go to NZ and film with them
Kieran = Ramsey G.o.T Jacob = good looking version of Matt fryer Mick = Joey cold cuts on a diet Pete = if Rick shiels went a gym Don’t worry boys I’ve got a head like a dropped meat pie
Nope, Peter would not have received an invite...George got it because he's Wesley's brother and that's it. Earlier today I commented on another video that asked the question why some golfers make it and others don't. In my opinion it happens because some golfers have BMT and they are the ones that make it...and the ones that don't have it, don't make it. And to use RUclips golfers as an example: George is a very good golfer and might even be a better golfer than Wesley, But when it matters and the pressure is up, Wesley rises and delivers where George folds...and that is BMT. When George has a chance in pressure situations, like in The "Q", he can't take that step up. George has the game and all the shots, but he has to work on his mental game...
Surely the definition of the majors is they have the best players in the world? If they dont have the best players in the world then they are just another tournament
I think they should stop spitting before they consider stopping them from swearing. It's disgusting and really has no place in society unless there is some medical condition
I think with the George thing is that the negative feelings towards it would be more valid if he wasn’t in 2nd. Like a spot opened up and the 2nd place winner got it. That may not have actually been the case, but we’re forgetting that he was in 2nd.
Major invites: If the invites are done objectively and with no obvious bias to any tour or tours, there would be no issue from the golf fans of the different tours. If you look at some of the PGA-Nobody's that were invited to the Masters and to the PGA Championship and then have a look at some of the ones that were not invited, it is very easy to see where their loyalties are...and that pushes fans away from watching their tournaments. And referring to the OWGR is laughable...anybody with half a brain knows that it is a PGA ranking system and totally irrelevant...they should take the "World" out and replace with "PGA". Although the "Data Golf Ranking" is slightly better it also can't be used...JT, useless as he is currently and has been for a while, is ranked 30-something and even better than Louis Oosthuizen, Dean Burmester and a few more...so not reliable at all. Invite the top 20 (or top 15 excl. the ones with major-exemptions) of LIV to every Major and that should take care of that problem.
Tyrell Hatton is great, but the broadcasters are very careful with sound pickup around him, John Rahm is unbelievable with his language. I played international golf as a junior, if we had behaved in anyway as professionals now do, we would have been dropped indefinitely. Mind you i got to play against so many tour professionals, language wasn’t an issue, but drunkenness was, immediately after a round, straight in the bar and get off your face seemed the norm. A certain professional that i played against regularly kept getting his hip flask out, he was pulled up for it as so many juniors and young amateurs were playing in the events, next time i played with him, he had a thermos flask, stank of whisky. If you look at the body shape of tour professionals in the 70’s, they definitely were not athletes, Nick Faldo started the Gym thing, trying to gain extra yardage, Tiger took it to next level. So get fit but swear lots is the new drunkenness.
If I see a professional golfer swear, then I think a little less of them as a person and I am less likely to want to watch them play. Can they have enough good qualities to outweigh the swearing & make them likable enough to watch? Sure, it's possible. But the swearing by itself is unprofessional & rude to me, and is a negative personality trait. (Throwing temper tantrums during a match is a similar unprofessional & unlikable trait.)
😆 it’s an appreciative nod to Jacob from a fellow Ipswich Town fan; loving the ITFC chat into the occasional pod. (The legends coffee mug has also not gone unnoticed 😉)
Depends. Most of the pros don't do it that often, if any, but then there's the Hattons. Never a "Jesus, I hit a bad shot." it's always some sort of swearing along with that wavy hand shit he does where he blames the slope or the wind or his clubs or the grass lol
The major offenders are Rahm and Hatton and I just wonder why nobody has a problem with their profanity outbursts when they were playing on the PGAT? It’s not like they just started cursing loudly this season.
(Rahm and Hatton swear their heads off on the pga tour) The mainstream golfing media - “oh that’s just Jon and Tyrell, aren’t they funny”. (When Rahm and Hatton swear on LIV) The mainstream golfing media - “what a disgrace to the heritage of golf, how dare they, they should be banned for life!”
Remove that "on air" sign (out of sight) Its irritating to to see, and the information is only needed for the people who happen to enter the room (not the viewier.)
It is horseshit that George Bryan got an invite despite losing the event. Can guarantee if it was Pete or anyone else who lost the playoff, they wouldn't have gotten an invite a week later. Irregardless of it being good for RUclips golf, it definitely showed they had an agenda of their own
Everyone should stop swearing. It's a sign of a weak mind. There are a bzillion adjectives out there. for exclamations, I like gee whiz!, great Caesars ghost! or " you sure foozled that one" If your doing it for laughs, those Always work. Lastly "Those who guard their mouths and their tongues keep themselves from calamity" Proverbs 21:23
Swearing a problem...? Broadcasters don't have to have mics all over. It is a sport and it's normal people playing it...and normal people are pissed off when they hit bad shots. Not everybody can be a "goodie" like Scottie...and luckily so because I find that boring. If I support a golfer and he buggers up a shot and shows nothing...in my mind he doesn't really care.
Who really cares, it adds character to an otherwise stuffy boring sport to watch. Plus , I believe England should worry about their Muslim take over more.
The point is, regards swearing, it's a lack of class and professionalism. Imagine if you were pulled over by a police officer, and they immediately started f'ing and blinding about your driving? Would you accept it, because I know I wouldn't and they are always under stress. It shows golfers in a very poor light.. It's all about a drop (or lack) in self-control and standards.
I have come here from Apple Podcasts. Other than Pete. No idea who you others look like. Jacob doesn’t look like he sounds. He looks way younger. Kieran looks about right. Who’s the other guy?

I really hope Pete comes off today's round satisfied with his game, regardless of the result.❤❤
Really enjoy watching the podcast. Like Micks reaction when Pete was talking about the captains day in Shropshire

Pete could beat anyone in a fight.
Excited to see Pete and the team at The Dunes. I played there many years ago and I have lots of happy memories from a special place.

Great poddy lads! Think it’s time to get the discord to write up the guess the player as Mick’s becoming predictable!! 👀😂

Hole in one 🤣 I reckon I've figured out how Mick does this now 🤫
Stay tuned- it’s about to get REALLY HARD.
Nailed guess the player with another Ace! Step up the game Mick!
Hole in one at a par 5 for me. Bounced down the cart path!
Lucky bounce!
Hole in one on guess the player... He needs to stop doing it about people in the news that week! 😂 Great pod as always gents!
Noted, gonna make it much harder next week!

Are you playing Westie with a 10 shot start?
That building on Fleetwood golf course is actually a coast guard tower
Thought it was Mick doing the voice over on the Myrtle Beach video 😂
Stay sure for the Make The Cut video this weekend.

Shouldn’t the Myrtle beach qualifier have been over 2 rounds.? Be fairer. Who decided who was invited?
So Pete is now only the 7th player to achieve a Condor - even if it was only in the Roughcut Open

I imagined you'd look like Rick shields dad, Alex Etches jr, Buvey's little brother and Good Goods first member from the UK...
What on earth? lol.
@@RoughCutGolfPodcast you guys can decide who is who 😂
In left to right order? Lol
Did I hear an f bomb at 16:41?

What does Pete think about the hypocrisy of Guy, now Rick is going to try to qualify for The Open? 😂 After what he said about Pete, not that long ago.
Good luck to them! Break 75 at Troon would be amazing!
That's not the answer Harry Hill would give. 😂
Good on ye. 👍
Kieran always looks like he’s just out of bed 🤣
Uppa Towen! 🔵⚪🔵⚪
Jacob loves this- I have no idea what it means. M

For a second there I though Pete was going to say "we're just normal men"
You need to change your rough cut logo. It looks to similar to liv golf and they just spam RUclips 😬
Maybe have your eyes tested...not even close to looking similar...lol
Y’gat’eyes?
Absolutely not. Golf gets under everyone's skin, even the pros.

Americans know Slazenger.
You all sound better looking 👀
Wow, not sure if this is good or bad? Lol
Pete played well but if you looked at George's round he really only made two or three mistakes
Bruce
Good lord. I am sure there have been a lot worse things said on the Augusta fairways than a few f-bombs.
Hole in one. Too obvious Michael especially when it's almost always someone you've talked about in the podcast.
