Whilst it is sad, it's true. He definitely could've still helped some of the people he cut off, but he has no reason to if you're just bringing him constant stress. He may be helping you, but he is not your caretaker.

I had bypass surgery in Feb 2020. I've lost 95% of my excess weight. Thank goodness I don't have people around me that enable my eating habits or try to undermine my progress.
yeah, unfortunately most of them are almost or completely immobile, so they have no way of getting the food for themselves seeing as they can’t walk/drive so obviously to maintain that weight you need to be getting the food from somewhere and if they aren’t getting it, it’s gotta be someone else :(

I can’t understand how and why the hospital allows these enabling friends and family to bring in food! They should be screened at the entrance or at least before they are allowed to enter the room. The hospital needs to have more control over this.
It's usually soda. Soda is the best way to drink 300 calories in under ten minutes. If these people, when the problem started, simply stopped drinking soda they'd be 400 lbs instead of 600.
