As the lone mage marches across the barren landscape, all that passed through his mind was his long journey. He looked up to see nothing but the mass gather of ravens around the remains of a great skeletal frame of a long-forgotten demon. He gave a bitter smile under his hood and readied his staff, the last momento from his teacher, and spoke his sacred words.
_"Turn back mortal,"_ spoke a dark voice that surrounded his mind. _"Do not follow the same path as your companions, do not perish here. Join me, become my student and you shall have all your desires before you."_ A dark hand appeared before him and the mage smile warmly at such an offer.
"If I was younger, a fool in youth, then I would take that hand with no fear, but..." He aimed his staff and the bright light burned the shadows. "But forsaking my heart is a sin I shalln't commit." The ravens mimicked the sound of children laughing as they swarmed around him as they slowly fell and the forsaken bones rose.
_"Then... you shall perish like the rest before you,"_ The dark voice spoke with sickening glee. A figure rose. Aided by the black mass of winged Servants, and the skull stared at the magus. _"Who are you and what drives you to fight?"_ It asked. _"riches? Power? Fame?"_
"Simple... a promise I made to a little girl... to no longer be afraid of the dark." He readied his staff as he smiles. "I intend to keep that promise, for I swore on my name, Gabriel the Gentle, Michael the Cruel."
The beast charge, insulted to hear its old name. The ravens flew with death on their wings, the beast roar as the mage heard only one thing in his mind... a little girl crying, in a nameless village and simply asked...

This is hands-down the greatest video for my final boss fight of the homebrew Pathfinder/DnD campaign that I've had going on for roughly the last 17 months.
Essentially, an ancient evil broke free from hell after hundreds of years, killed all the deities, and the helped my formerly evil players defeat the all-powerful creator dragon. Then the ancient evil dragon absorbed the creator dragon's power and has begun to destroy the world, to start over again. But the party was granted one wish, and they resurrected the creator dragon, who's PISSED, and they're going to fight alongside it to take down the evil dragon who's pretty much doing a universe reset.
The first song goes especially hard for the encounter

"I hereby declare you, dead." The skull made out of birds had a voice that boomed over the land, paralyzing anything unlucky enough to hear its voice. All but a single brave soul, who raised his staff, and locked eyes with the beast made of bones and birds.
"Who are you to decide whether I live or die?" The final defender of this mystical world voiced his question, pondering over the answer. "Is it because you are strong, or because so many of us are weak?" The skeleton scratched his chin, both entranced and amused by the question.
"If I had to say, I'd be neither. I decide your death, because you have lived it countless of times before, as you will again. You are fated to die." The man smiled, knowing that victory was all too near. Because he had never reached this far in any of his lives.
"Then I will ask you this final thing," The man smirked, and placed his hood over his head. "who is fate to decide?" Magic materialized around his staff, as he poured every ounce of his being into it. His body was a blur as he sprinted towards the monster, a battle cry overtaking the caws of the crows. Everything would be decided on this; who lived, and who died. But he didn't care. For as more and more magic enveloped him, he knew he wouldn't be around to see it. And so he leaped into the air, and released the magic. It soared faster and faster and faster and FASTER, until it collided with the skeleton. It made no sound as it hit, not that it would be heard by him, even if it had. No tears dropped from his tired eyes, as his body begun to fade away. The skeleton and him locked eyes one final time, before the explosion, for better or worse, shook the world forever. The final thought that crossed his mind was, "Did I beat it? Or did I just prolong this eternity of suffering." But he failed to realize it wasn't up to him to decide. YOU decide. Did he come out victorious, or did it all repeat again? It is up to you, fellow human. Decide, and seal his fate.

And I reveled too long in darkness.
I wanted to write this down, so that the idea of change doesn't get washed away in my tumbling and spinning head.
I could have just written it down on a piece of paper and kept it to myself but I wanted to leave this here because I felt it that way, right there when I watched and listened to this video, and maybe it can inspire someone else that has depression or a similar issue as well.
To some it seems edgy or cringe worthy, especially because it is written in the way it is. But I felt it and wanted to share it.

The Traitor stopped in his tracks, leaving deep furrows from his heavy boots. "Repeat yourself!"
The guardman blinked away his tears as he fixed his bayonet, a useless gesture, but a sign of defiance. "I said..." He stepped from his foxhole, tripping once over the fallen body of another man who had been slain. "CADIA...STANDS!!!" He prepared himself to go down fighting as his home planet did.
The Slanneshi traitor looked at him, a mix of amusement and shock washing over his features. "I have felt nothing for 4 centuries, insect. My hearts have grown dull with the battle which no longer satisfies, the drugs which no longer bring the desired sensation, the sense of joy that has been long extinguished." The traitor looked upon the guardsmen. Tears welling up in his eyes. "I...feel...remorse..."
The guardsman watched in shock as the massive behemoth before him dropped his bolter. "Take me to your commisar, guardsman, i wish to surrender to the Inquisition."

A red aura emanates from it, I’m not even sure if this monster bleeds, for if snatching souls make him stronger, he cannot be anything without them.
I wield my staff, the soul bearer,

I will not go down without stabbing my sword through his lifeless chest,
For if there ever was a life, there was an end.
But what cannot be, is this soul sucking endless and ugly nightmare.
The ravens could quite possibly be ones who stood against him, but what cannot be, is my soul, caged alongside.

If you allow yourself to think about your life, you may recognize signs before events took place. Recognize the music, the songs, maybe even just a word and you may find the results extraordinary....
I landed with a painfully in the rough sand. ‘This wasn’t supposed to happen!’ Looking to my right I spot the unconscious boy on the ground. “fuck.” I muttered to myself my hands were still shaking. I couldn’t believe I just survived that. I raised my marked hand to my mouth and whispered ‘Elders they are back and they found the entrance of polaris.’ An orb of light appeared between my lips and hand and drifted away in the blink of an eye causing a crack in the air. I eliminated a whole entrance. It could be easily rebuilt but still, and elder has found an entrance, even with all of our precautions. Even repeating this simple fact over and over in my nead I still couldn’t believe it. This is worse than I expected. With a shaky breath I stand up looking to my surroundings. This place is quite familiar. The palms threes, the salty gentle breeze blowing softly against my hair. It was home. There’s no way they could find us here, not unless the stars are aligned right. I can’t believe I risked my life for someone who can’t die, it’s almost ironic. More ironic is that I need to find a way to kill him. I limp over towards the boy the floor and pull my knife of the sheath hidden under my cloak. Pulling my glove off I see that the mark has extended more and now it’s swallowed part of my forearm. It was a risky move splitting that atom but I had no choice. But still, encountering one of the elders is something I can’t wrap my head around. If I hadn’t caused that nuclear explosion the earth would’ve probably been reduced to dust. They are relentless beings, It was assumed that they abandoned earth. Perhaps the legends lost authenticity over time, perhaps they’re back. If they indeed are returning then it’s all the more reason I should finish off this boy. Gripping my knife made out alskarnium with both hands over my head I prepare to stab his heart. But… He did protect me back there. No. he himself said it, he only did it because I have answers. He only cares about himself and himself only. This is what i have to do for the sake of Ekarora.
