      My dad used the boot as an ice cooler to take some drinks to the park, when he was done he emptied the water out of the compartment. Later on he got critical electric problems with the car. His steering locked up and the car went into limp home mode.
      The compartment is a gimmick and ford were being cheeky when he tried to return the car. They were refusing him a new car out right and only when he kept on at them did they offer to pay for repairs.

    I've owned a Puma for one month and just came back from a road trip of nearly 1000km through Swiss Alps. Although the engine might suffer a little bit when it has to climb a mountain road, it is indeed a fun and versatile little car. The "all-terrains" driving mode works well and the boot is very practical (I definitely prefer the Megabox rather than a spare wheel that most of owners will never ever use). You can also effectively get a low fuel consumption if you drive responsibly. Go try the car if you're interested !

      How is the car after a year? I'm planning to test drive it next week and I'm cautious of how tough the ride is, because of the "Sports suspencion" on the models I have my eye on. My other options I have my eye on are Skoda Kamiq and Hyundai Beyon.

    • @Capmatix
      @Capmatix 2 года назад +1

      @@Mifoe. It's alright, I have no major defects to report yet. As for the suspension, I think it's very subjective, depending on what your previous car was, but I wouldn't say the Puma's is too hard.

Most compact SUVs have style but compromise on space. I've had 4 people in it plus a set of golf clubs, an upright vacuum cleaner (!) and other luggage. Averages 48mpg (155PS hybrid) and is so much fun to throw around. Hardly anything has a spare wheel now in Europe anyway...........

      I agree! Please write or call FORD USA customer service and tell them we NEED the new Puma with 6-speed manual option in USA/North American market. Please don't let them neglect their home market. If all of their customers are telling them the same thing, they'll listen to us and bring it to the U.S.!

    Really good review. Thank you. Ford, this needs to be on sale in the US. Soon.

    Ford now do an option that you can buy a spacer wheel that is stored in half the deep box area-leaving a shallower box (I've seen it). Some of us DO value spare tyres/wheels that we can change and not rely on the gel system or rescue services that require a longish wait and transport to local garage of their choice that fleece you for the cost of a replacement tyre...been there, done that. :)

    This car would look better as a hatchbatch rather than a small suv.
    How is the engine? The old focus had all kinds of issues with the ecoboost.

    In Greece, the Ford Puma Titanium Version 1.0 125hbp comes with drum brakes in the rear!!! Does that happen worldwide? Why drum brakes at the same when the ST line version with the same horsepower and engines comes with disk brakes? Safety feature sold as optional upgrade?

    Just took ownership of my first ever Ford let alone a Puma. 3 days into it and it’s proving a wee gem. The 125 bhp engine hums along quite sweetly and cruises comfortably along the motorway at speed without effort. It’s hard to believe that there’s just 999cc there. The handling is engaging yet assured. The interior is nothing to shout about but it’s got everything you need ( I went for the Titanium First Edition) and more. The Digital dash would have been nice but I can live without it. So far so good !

    The 1.0l ecoboost is not gutless without hybrid, literally every car reviewer a few years back was hyping it up for its torque and power delivery.

    The Honda Fitt/ Jazz deserves the praise this car gets for a versatile/ usable/ great use of interior but no car reviewer will ever do that cause they don’t want to seen as “boring”. The Honda Fitt/ Jazz punches far above its class for interior space, usability and practicality.
