It’s been about 5 months since the Galaxy A55 was released, I’ve had it since then and I thought it would be cool if I took another look at it to see how well it has held up and how it compares to other midrange phones released so far in 2024.

What do you think of the Galaxy A55?
Best high end mid ranger IMO
Should have thinner bezels than the A35, maybe next year after the s24 FE gets thinner and uniform bezels, fingers crossed
Also, a telephoto would do the trick with EIS at least

the inner peace and mental stability of not going thru unstable updates that might brick your phone and not having to unbloat every update is a big selling point for me

my dad got me this phone, it's my first samsung phone ever and i was very impressed! been using it for less than a week and as a student who uses their phone primarily for everything, i'd say it's pretty good and hasn't heated up (yet😭). the design is very premium, everyone who sees it say it's so similar to an iphone but i'd say it's actually better 💀 the customization is so good and apart from it, i never thought i'd like the samsung ecosystem but with the fit 3 as a freebie gift, i'd say everything being interconnected is a good daily addition. i am pretty much in love with this phone, curious to see how it holds up in a couple of years though, since i wouldn't be upgrading for a while.

I love it but I'm currently using the A35 5G because I believe there's not so much difference between the two phones😊

A55 does have 120hr refresh rate as well. People will buy this phone for its design, battery life and for those who use it for day to day actvities without much gaming. This phone should work fine easily for 3-4yrs as os upgrade is also promised for 4yrs with overall sec patch for 5yrs. Overall a great phone around $400.

@@trey_a_12 telephoto lenses are for flagships (in samsungs case) they gotta use the third lense for smth, id be perfectly fine with a 2x telephoto even
@@EugosonQuorch, i used samsung a55, battery drain very fast , already i apply maximum battery protection , apps not running background. Then it camera lense scratch. There fore i remove lense protector and applied full backcover. Please help me how to i fix this issues

People often forget that THIS PHONE IS A MIDRANGE PHONE! When you add many desired features, it already starts to move to the upper class.
I ordered an A55. I have tried it out many times and it has pleased me. Maybe if it was just a little smaller I would have been even more pleased.
I bought the a55 the same day Motorola released their new edge 50 neo, its their first one with a flat screen and its 6.4 inches. I didnt know about it until yesterday, i could still return the a55, but im not sure if i would be shooting myself in the foot by doing that. Anyways mabye check it out if you want another option. In my country the edge 50 neo is kinda overpriced, so i think i'll stick with the a55, even tho i think its slightly too big and heavy, and if you dont use a case its way too slippery for my hands haha, and also the straight edges arent the most comfortable without a case.

Get the A55 simply because the S22 has terrible battery life. If you can live with the terrible battery life and overheating, go for the S22.
there are sales of s23 fe brand new at almost the same price of a55. around 20-30$ difference
Flagship will always be flagship. Even S10+ still kicks ass of these midrange rs. So S22 is a big go
This phone is similar to an s21 in terms of performance and premium construction, I bought it a week ago and I gave it somewhere for 250 euros, I can say that for this money it has no competition
It isn't as powerful as an s21 lol. Performance is more comparable to an S20 very close in gpu scores and cpu overall. Which is great because the snapdragon 865 is still a beast. But exynos 1480 is more power efficient.

Just go to the settings app and turn on themed icons. It should be under wallpaper customization

I actually got it wrong😅. Search for colour palette in the settings, and then turn on “apply palette to app icons”
6:10 there is no 144, but its 120? I don`t own this phone but specs on internet say its 120. And if that`s the case, then its actually good. Yes, its still not 120, but for me personally, the difference is not really big for the eye. Especially when not all phones have more than 60hz displays (looking at you apple 👀)
Did you test it with a SIM card? I ask because I would like to know if the phone has the "notification light". My A73 5G does not have it and it's a more expensive phone. The notification light is a must on ALL phones.
Yes in the setting you could activate the notification light.

lemme say this, i returned my redmi note 13 pro 5g and bought the a55. I thought Xiaomi/redmi would be like huawei, but it wasnt.
Loved your voice tone very soothing and I like your conclusion in the end of this video, maybe not for Gamers, maybe not for Cyberpunk design, maybe not for crazy camera layout but is was the best ALL AROUND phone with the minimalist slick design that is why I love it.

It’s the default icons. You can just go to the settings, search for colour palette, and turn on “Apply palette to app icons”

I like the gallaxy a55 is a great phone but my problem with it is that it's over priced 😢
I'm thinking about getting the A55. Always had an S class and now the S20 for 2 years.
But I need a smartphone with a (slightly) larger display and the performance shouldn't be less than that of the s20.
For cost reasons, I'm thinking about moving away from the S Class and I'm wondering (if it's all about performance) whether the A55 can keep up with the S20 or if annoying micro stutters arise after a while.
Does anyone know this and can perhaps give me some advice? 🙂🙏
As someone who's currently using an A55, I can promise you that there are 0 micro stutters. Actually, I use this phone with 60 hertz refresh rate, & I still see no stutter. Absolutely more than enough for me as a 34 year old. Excellent camera during daytime, not bad during low light (actually, as someone who's used the S23 Ultra, I can't see the massive difference in camera, except, of course, the zoom), fast processor, & killer look. I can guarantee that it can do at least 95% of what the S24 Ultra can do, for a much more competitive price.
4:11 WarzoneM is poorly optimized. Even some flagships like S23U and 15 Pro Max still experiencing crashes, overheating and graphical issues. W mediatek processor in the same class won't make the experience any better if the game itself has optimization issues

i never understood the wait for a new one question. If you can wait 15 years for holographic phones then do that, if not just buy the best one thats out today in your budget. Dont listen to redditors who would advice you to wait years for the perfect phone.

It's AMOLED, no worries on that. Could go 80 and still see what's on screen.

I really don't very care about a huge gaming experience in a phones, if it runs a games very well that's enough for me
