I have really been digging the Buzzz OS in this slot. Its straighter than my Pyro with a nice stable finish. For more stability though, I love the Pyro and Deflector.
I actually bag a deflector, but not as a primary OS mid. It's definitely more of a utility disc, and I use it mostly for 150-250 ft forehands where I need a skip or my zone just isn't overstable enough. I LOVE how flat it is, you can absolutely RIP on it with a forehand. Awesome disc - just not with the same use case as most of the rest of the mids in this video. Great video as always!
The Streamline Runway is probably the most underrated over stable mid I have ever encountered. Great grip and very controllable. It flies like a long range Zone.
5:13 when I discovered Discraft, I actually liked the idea of the embossing on the inside of the rim. I use it to help my grip, reduce slippage. It's what made me seek out more of their discs (but did not prevent disappointments with some of them not being true to numbers).
I have the pyro in my bag ATM. When I go to a course and need something more over stable then I put the deflector in. I have a buzz os that I have been trying out as well.
Bagged a DD Verdict for 7 years and recently replaced w a SP Quake. Never going back. Great glide, actually skips when it finishes (rare for a mid) and the puddle top is my absolute jam.
I live in a high wind area, and I decided the deflector was too overstable for me as well. Tried the roc3, quake, malta, and the drone. I bag the drone it was exactly what I wanted. The others weren't wind resistant enough to achieve a reliable fade for me.
1010discs is legit and I feel like not many people know about them. Great selection, great prices. I get about a third of the discs I dye from them. Also, while the Deflector is almost comically overstable, I end up throwing it more than a lot of other discs in my bag. Best utility disc I have ever had, and it is surprisingly fast for a mid. Great disc for forced anhyzer forehands.
I was going to buy the md5 but my local retailer had them sell out just the day before I went to get mine. They recommended the pyro to replace md5 and I bought one. I have to say I love that disc after a few rounds. Its very beefy, has great hand feel for sidearms and is very reliable in the wind. No regrets buying it.
i bag the pyro and the md5. md5 is a little more os for me. pyro tends to go further about 40 feet further. for shorter courses its nice to have options.
The quake look like it was trying to flip up some in the throw around 10:10 Also agree, proton plastic feels great. I haven’t thrown the MD5, but shot a review of the Pyro yesterday after losing my Buzzz OS and it was the same. Straight in the bag.
Forehand dominant and I’ve tried everything there except the MD5. That second hole summed up those discs nearly perfectly. Quake and Pyro have workable, reliable overstability with decent glide. Deflector is beefy, almost a better approach disc than a mid. Reminds me of my Vaino A2. Malta doesn’t handle FH torque well. Caiman can’t handle a lot of power, and yes, it feels like a putter.
That is a "midnight flyer" Quake. You should look up the history of DGAs midnight flyer series, it's pretty interesting. DGA has produced many more of them in the recent years so the one you have for example is a newer run and isn't that rare (but still fun to collect), but the original midnight flyers are quite sought after. There's a website that you can use to tell which generation of midnight flyer you have and what's interesting about them, such as the change in materials used to make them glow, their weights, and how the stamps have gradually changed over the years. The original midnight flyer was one of the first molds of disc golf discs I believe in the late 70s....way before most other disc golf brands were even around!
I throw the pyro in that slot! I love metal flake c line plastic and I love my discmania but you hit it right on the head with the pyro it's overstable and workable but my favorite thing is that pushing hyzer! It's such an underrated disc in my opinion
Not that you need probably need any ideas for new video series, but I had an idea that I thought would be fun. If a subscriber bag is different enough/unique and they want to send you the molds in their bag(not all if they have like beat in versions of things, you'd just do like the stock one). You play a round with discs your subs play with. Series Title: Can Nate throw your discs better than you. Haha. The answer for me is, yeah you'd obviously throw them better than me. This was a great one! Loved the comparisons. I'm currently using an AGL Beech for that slot.
I go with the Innova Gator3 in this slot. I like the smaller diameter feel and is one of the easiest discs I've ever thrown on a forehand. Super reliable for my game.
My os mid range is a big z buzzz. I know it’s technically not supposed to be crazy overstable, but mine is board flat and fades like mad. It flies like a zone but with more glide.
I lost my pyro 70ft up in a huge Pine this past saturday and the card behind us knocked it out and his got stuck right where my pyro was. I've had alot of discs cycle in and out but the pyro seems to stay in my bag even when I try to set it free.
I had fruity Dino bites for breakfast. I’ve wanted a Pyro for forever but all I currently have is an Eclipse Reactor. Pyro is next in line I think but that metal flake c-line plastic looks amazing though. I might have to snag an MD5.
I think this might flip. Pyro: Nah Bro give me the juice. Loved this video as I'm starting to understand overstable mids. I would hit subscribe again if you highlight more DGA - Not enough on RUclips about these. The Steady BL I held in store felt amazing.
How often do you “smoke” that light pole? I mean, you didn’t on this VLOG, but I’ve seen you whack it a couple times in the past. Great content Nate, honest and concise! 1010 discs def hooked you up!
1010 looks legit, I didn't know about their site, checking it out now. Yeah, I can't do Champion plastic, feels like a beach toy. Star is my go-to, I'm okay with GStar in a fairway, or DX for any beater disc. I bag a Star Caiman. Breakfast: Millville Fruit Rounds cereal, Hawaiian coffee, and water. Cool seeing all those discs, MD5 is clearly the winner and the best looking. Smash. Have a great weekend.
The Malta seems to be the disc for me out of these, seems more like a backhand OS mid which means my OS mid/approach that fits best on the forehand isn't the same slot and both can co-exist in the midst of the bag! :)
DGA has some really great discs without much overlap. Definitely try out some more. Quake is a great one though, some of the best shots of the whole day with that one.
This next week the weather will be strange pretty much nation wide. You have the best disc golf videos and I'm talking better than Simon shhh be humble. The way you appreciate your life and surroundings is inspiring. Keep it up bruh. Jah Bless.
I also wasn’t much of a fan of the malta. The Buzzz OS on the other hand is the perfect overstable mid. I pull that out when i need a further flying zone.
Gateway Demon, HyperDiamond is OS forever, Suregrip beats in to an incredibly controllable mid, best I've ever thrown. So Money. For more beef, I go with a Justice.
That interrupting birb though XD
Bro 😂😂 I was so mad
S/O to 1010discs.com for the hookup! And thank all you guys for the disc recommendations!
I got a couple of sweet Bengal Dye Glitches from them. They’re great.
Pyro is my favorite os mid!
Pyro is money, got my first two aces after bagging it!
Loving it for forehands, throw my streamline runway more backhand cause it's less beef even though I think it's supposed to be more stable
@@mickiesworkshop3490 i might have to give that streamline runway a try
Came to say this but also Runway is so nice!
@@Simeneriyo, I got my first ace with a pyro as well!
I have really been digging the Buzzz OS in this slot. Its straighter than my Pyro with a nice stable finish. For more stability though, I love the Pyro and Deflector.
Was just about to comment about the Buzzz OS, mines a bit beat in. Pretty straight flat with a good finish, really stable on hyzer, big money

The Streamline Runway is probably the most underrated over stable mid I have ever encountered. Great grip and very controllable. It flies like a long range Zone.
I concur, based on what you liked in the video the Runway would have been perfect
5:13 when I discovered Discraft, I actually liked the idea of the embossing on the inside of the rim. I use it to help my grip, reduce slippage.
It's what made me seek out more of their discs (but did not prevent disappointments with some of them not being true to numbers).

Glad you threw them on forehand, I looked for this video topic because I keep flipping over my current midranges on forehand when I don’t want to.
I love both of the putts going in at 15:02 and spinning the basket!
I use a Deflector as an approach and get out of jail disc. The Pyro is was more workable and useful for actual overstable midrange shots.
Dude Pyro is money all day
Bagged a DD Verdict for 7 years and recently replaced w a SP Quake. Never going back. Great glide, actually skips when it finishes (rare for a mid) and the puddle top is my absolute jam.

What’s your opinion on how the Verdict compares to those discs?
Quake replaced my Pyro as it has a touch more glide but the same stability. Pro Line for me, great on the FH and BH.
1010discs is legit and I feel like not many people know about them. Great selection, great prices. I get about a third of the discs I dye from them. Got a Quake 2 weeks ago and absolutely love it! Been wanting to try a Pyro for a while now
I love the Discraft words on the rim for FH. Feels like a good spot to grip
i bag the pyro and the md5. md5 is a little more os for me. pyro tends to go further about 40 feet further. for shorter courses its nice to have options.

It’s like a midrange Zone.

Discraft drone is so underrated.
Agreed! Gets good distance but still fades in a 30mph headwind. Yes, please!

The Gator is awesome. Just a weird hand feel if you dont like a bead.
I don’t see a lot of people using the Innova rat. 4 4 0 3 are it’s numbers it’s such a good disc at least worth giving it a shot
I think this might flip.
Pyro: Nah Bro give me the juice.

I think it was the Gator3.
@@pathape gator3 is 5/2/0/3. Gator is 5/2/0/4

I’ve only hit it twice, and seen someone do it once lol that pole is in the perfect hyzer spot
My favorite OS mid is either the discraft wasp or the innova leopard
Malta over the Buzzz OS? (Buzzz OS and the Quake are very similar...Quake is just a hair faster.)

Love that the MD5 is coming back. I've been using the Method but it's not quite as stable.
MD5 gang 😤
My go to OS mid is the Latitude 64 Anchor. I found it on a course years ago and man is it beefy. It feels like a longer distance Zone OS.
I havent felt the new MD3 but the MD1 and MD5 feel so amazing and just do exactly what they should. And yeah, MVP/Axiom nail it everytime
Love this format for disc comparisons. Keep doing your thing! 💪🏼
The Malta seems to be the disc for me out of these, seems more like a backhand OS mid which means my OS mid/approach that fits best on the forehand isn't the same slot and both can co-exist in the midst of the bag! :)
My go to “usable” OS mid is the Gateway Warrior.
No Prodigy MX-1?
Prodigy had its chance lol.
Got a box of goodies from them coming in tho 👀
I can’t wait for the md5 let’s go Discmania. Great job nate
Malta is closer to a Method from my experience. How does the new MD5 fly compared to the old one? I bag an old one and it's a beefcake
Surprised lone star middy didn't make it in the suggestions. That thing throws like a dream for me.

Gateway Warrior is my only gateway disc but feels amazing and is my mid os
You got to try a Buzzz OS it is my go to mid and top 3 favorite disc
I tested it out in my MD5 vid!
Been loving the Bobcat lately, it's been putting up a good fight against my Pyro. Eggs and turkey bacon for breakfast
I don't order much from 1010, but big ups for helping our boy Nate out!
Awesome vid. It’s like when you were a kid playing a board game with your favourite toys and seeing who wins.
Oh and that bird 😂
1010Ddiscs feeds my addiction like a crack dealer. I play bad on Saturday, order new discs on Sunday, delivered on Tuesday and repeat each week...
Call me old school, the discraft Drone is my baby 🤘🏻
1010 discs - way to go!
M2 is my go to I have been liking the archive tho
Deflector is a GREAT forehand disc as well as it has awesome ground play! Thing is wonky! Also recently found your channel! Love the content amigo!
Aaron Gossage Tour Series Buzz OS is very nice
Use a Pyro and Deflector. Both are great
Bro! No hate but suggest you work to get rid of the air bounce so you get a cleaner shot and more distance!
I also wasn’t much of a fan of the malta. The Buzzz OS on the other hand is the perfect overstable mid. I pull that out when i need a further flying zone.
Quake is life. 95% DGA, 5% discraft here. BH & FH never felt so good with one Mid
How different is pyro and deflector
Deflector is definitely a bit more overstable. I find it's better for forehands and the pyro is much better for backhands. I bag both currently.
Had a banana and a protein shake for breakfast. The food combo that guarentees birdies.
The Deflector is basically an MVP Mutant
The gator 3 has a better in the hand feel than the caiman
I love my Pyro and after watching this I think I need to throw it even more
Dude that deflector reminds me of the mutant a lot!! So beefy! Also….Arkansas weather baby 😅😂
Mint Bobcat is the one for me
Gateway Demon, HyperDiamond is OS forever, Suregrip beats in to an incredibly controllable mid, best I've ever thrown. So Money. For more beef, I go with a Justice.

You have to put the ultra in this battle too
Big Z Malta is a great disc
No Lone Star Middy? You are missing out!
I feel like the justice not being in this is a touch criminal lol ALSO, I would say the Buzzz OS is a much better Discraft os mid range
Lonestar discs WALKER!!!!
The Streamline Runway is a very OS mid that doesn't get enough attention.
My malta isnt too overstable either
Ursus By terminal velocity is the best OS mid by far
Nice video. From my experience, the malta is NOT over stable. that thing is way different than the numbers say.
One more you need to try Legacy Pursuit
Noted 📝
FRIGGIN MAGPIES DUDE
Lone ! Star ! Walker !
I rather just power up on a zone, seems to work better for me.
Shouldve grabbed a runway too
Try an Ursus
MD1, 3 & 5 ALL DAY.

100%
