In my younger days, I was trained in a corps who support the Army with signal service/plane spotting, catering, and sanitation missions, I was very good a plane spotting, you just have to take my word for it. I have seen a few things in the sky I can't explain. That does not mean it was UFOs with little green men inside, that just means I can't explain what it was. It certainly did not behave like a known aircraft.

I have a theory on what these are and a practical way to test it, but no way to actually do it myself or connect with people that could. Here goes... Someone has figured out the Alcubierre drive. These craft fit all the performance criteria. The test: If these are indeed compressing / expanding space as a means of getting around, then simply shining a laser near (not on) one should cause a noticeable deflection of the laser. All youd need is a laser and a way to see if the beam bends or not. If the light bends, this is an Alcubierre drive. Implications: If this is a full on 100% operational AD, the game is over and China has won. Someone has figured out the exotic matter and energy solution, and are able to at will fly around wherever they want with impunity. They can also go pretty much anywhere: to pluto and back, underwater, etc... in less time than light takes to get there. This means it would be easy to set up a completely disconnected placee that is unhackable and totally outside of the sphere of US control. I talk to them on the phone, they said my report is UFO rather then two flying saucers until they investigate. So I'm finished with them for how they turned around what I've told them into a UFO report. It was like a joke on the most serious issue a person could talk about. Now you know how they operate.

I have a theory on what these are and a practical way to test it, but no way to actually do it myself or connect with people that could.
Here goes...
Someone has figured out the Alcubierre drive. These craft fit all the performance criteria. Heres the paper on the physics: arxiv.org/abs/gr-qc/0009013 The occupants of the craft would feel no inertial momentum, and 180 degree turns at pretty much any speed would be possible.
The test: If these are indeed compressing / expanding space as a means of getting around, then simply shining a laser near (not on) one should cause a noticeable deflection of the laser. All youd need is a laser and a way to see if the beam bends or not.
If the light bends, this is an Alcubierre drive.
Implications:
If this is a full on 100% operational AD, the game is over and China has won.
Someone has figured out the exotic matter and energy solution, and are able to at will fly around wherever they want with impunity. They can also go pretty much anywhere: to pluto and back, underwater, etc... in less time than light takes to get there. This means it would be easy to set up a completely disconnected placee that is unhackable and totally outside of the sphere of US control. Theyve basically won the solar system and are messing with us.
I suspect, given the max speed we have seen from these, that there is a limit to performance still, and that FTL with it is not yet achievable, but extreme speeds / maneuvers are.
